Called another company who sent 2 guys for 3 visits because it just didn't get fixed. They charged us ~$2000 for replacing two things + labor, and the problem still wasn't fixed. (The other company has an AI assistant who sounds real. It's creepy.) Bruno from SSM came today, did a lot of diagnostic work, and figured out that the problem was electrical. Contractors and Homeowners Beware -- Extremely Concerning Experience…read moreOur company, was hired to perform electrical work on a project involving South Shore Mechanical and its owner, William Holley. During the project, they installed incorrect RTUs, creating a significant issue that needed to be corrected. We were subsequently asked to perform the electrical work necessary to help correct the situation. We completed the requested work, supplied the necessary labor and materials, and did our part to get the project back on track. The result? William Holley / South Shore Mechanical has refused to pay our outstanding invoice for the work we performed. As a fellow contractor and business owner, I find this completely unacceptable. I wouldn't trust this company to pour water out of a boot even if you told them the instructions were on the heel. We have made multiple attempts to resolve the outstanding balance directly with William Holley before reaching this point. Unfortunately, despite the work being completed, we are still left with an unpaid invoice. Based on our company's experience, I cannot recommend South Shore Mechanical or William Holley to homeowners, contractors, or businesses considering working with them. Running a construction project is difficult enough without having to spend months chasing another contractor for payment for work they requested and received. We would have much preferred to resolve this privately and professionally.

RLF Heating & Cooling is the ABSOLUTE BEST! Bob Fleming will be my HVAC guy until the day he…read moreretires (hopefully never!). It's difficult to explain how much I recommend RLF Heating & Cooling. Where do I start? In mid-June of 2026 both our upstairs and downstairs A/C systems were completely dead. Bob Fleming came to the rescue in a big way! It was H-O-T hot! And it was very uncomfortable to sleep upstairs with no A/C. We decided to install a SEER20 Bosch 36k BTU Bosch heat pump A/C system, which supplies both A/C and Heat at a cost effective rate. It was a big project that also required replacing the air handler in the attic. Since this wasn't going to happen overnight, Bob went out of his way and bought 3 new window AC units for us to use upstairs (which he installed) until the work was completed. He didn't charge us a penny for these. He let us borrow them for free! That bridged the gap perfectly. The new A/C system works perfectly! It's quiet, efficient, and very professionally installed, along with a smart Ecobee thermostat that I quite like. The heat pump also supplies heat during the winter. Bob smartly set it up so that it automatically uses the heat pump when the outside temperature gets down to as low as 35F. If the outside temp goes below 35F, then the energy source automatically transitions to our pre-existing natural gas system. Supposedly that's the sweet spot to use both systems as effectively and cost-conscious as possible. It's brilliant! Bob also reinstalled our old A/C lines that went to three different mini-split systems on the first floor. He professionally pressure tested everything, and it's all working perfectly. Bob was so polite, asking whether it was okay to work past a certain hour as he wanted to get the job done as quickly as possible, while also respecting our family's privacy. He cleaned all of his work up leaving nothing behind. That summer, I felt in a strange way that Bob became an extension of our family. He was so polite to all of us. We thoroughly enjoyed having him around the house, and completely trusted him. I am so fortunate to have found RLF Heating & Cooling. His reviews were fantastic. That's why I reached out to him for our projects and he still totally surpassed my expectations. RLF Heating & Cooling for the win! 100% recommended!

The plumber was there for a little over three hours. Included in that time was going to Lowe's and putting in a new toilet. Her bill came to over $2000. I called the office and asked for a receipt five times. Nothing was sent to us which I thought was suspicious. Finally I have one. I also asked for a receipt for the toilet which we never received. I was told it was $800.00. I looked it up on the Lowe's site, not even close. The receipt repeats a lot of the same things and lists it as separate charges. The pricing is extremely excessive. Any senior citizens should especially steer clear.
