Designed with an all white palate, the space is large enough to accommodate a modest - sized event(under 200) while still feeling intimate. I believe the space is owned and operated by Creative Arts Catering so you are required to use thier services. Their food is excellent though so that would be a non issue for me. My only complaint was with the parking. There were only about 20 parking spaces directly in front of the building and the caterer had their delivery trucks occupying about 5 of those precious few (not a good look at a formal event). Definitely check them out if you're event space shopping on the North side.

We couldn't have picked a better person than Lilian to be our contact. She was patient with our many questions and changes. Even at the last minute, we had to add an 8 person table top and she had it set up in minutes and without disruption. They will stay on the top of OUR list for future needs.

The Dallas Woman's Forum Building is a great event space. The building itself is an Historical…read moreLandmark. It is the former home of C.H. Alexander in 1906. It was known throughout Dallas as the Alexander Mansion. The Woman's Forum is an organization committed to empowering women and children through education and advocacy. The group purchased the building and also makes it available to the public for weddings, holiday parties, corporate events, meetings, luncheon, tea parties, bridal showers, dinners, and cocktail parties. I came here for an authors forum. The building proved to be a perfect setting for that event as well. While it is a really neat event space with a decent sized parking lot, it could use a little restoration. Keep in mind it is an old building, and old buildings need a lot of work. For example the front porch has tiles missing, and the interior has walls and corners that need touching up, floors that could use refinishing, etc. Granted, most events will detract from many of those things, but to be good stewards of the rich history these old buildings possess, their owners should make certain they are kept in their original glory...in my humble opinion. Overall, this building is a treasure though and the city is blessed that the Dallas Woman's Forum shares it with the community!

The exterior is so clean, modern, and inviting. It has some limited parking. The interior entry way is spacious and has restrooms. The main event room really is lovingly maintained. And the venue is spacious. One slightly unusual set up is that the women's restroom is located right at the entryway, like the second you step inside. It's definitely a gorgeous venue for a wedding.
