The actors and actresses are very talented, and the performance overall was great. Tickets are reasonably priced, which makes it a more affordable option if you love theater but don't want to spend the higher prices at the Dr. Phillips Center. The venue itself is easy to enjoy: there's a private parking lot, a lobby with drinks and snacks, and even a little gift shop to browse before or after the show. All in all, Orlando Shakes delivered a wonderful holiday experience, and we'll definitely keep coming back for A Christmas Carol each year.

There are simple refreshments available for purchase. The seats are sufficiently spacious, padded, and comfy. The way the theater is set up, you can't really get a bad seat. We arrived 2 minutes late for a sold-out show and parking was a bit problematic. I recommend arriving early! BUDDY HOLLY STORY My husband wanted to see this. Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to it. But it was a very good show. The acting performances were much better than I've seen in other theater companies (coughmadcowcough) and the music was a joy to watch. I sat next to an older gentleman who lived during the time period of this show and he very much enjoyed it, saying he wanted to see it again. QUALITY COMPARED TO OTHER LOCAL THEATERS This is the top reason I recommend you make the drive out here. I've been to a few different theaters around the Orlando area and I thought this theater was significantly better. The environment is much more spacious and comfortable, the acting and performance was much more engaging and convincing, and they seem to have either more talented people or more resources to pull off a much better stage and set design, costumes etc. I get the impression these people are professionals.

The theatre itself is small but the stage is decently sized and every seat in the house has a pretty darn good view which is awesome! The production itself was well thought out with attention to detail in the sets, costume design, and the choice of actors. The cast did a phenomenal job and I was super happy with our choice of attending the show for date night! Can't wait to go back :)

The detail of the set was just remarkable, I was transported back to 1987, and was sitting almost inside a 1980's radio station! Dr. Sinclair conducts quite an orchestra! I had the chance to attend a show during their February intense month of performances and it was magical. The instruments and vocals reverberated off the walls of the beautiful Knowles Chapel in a way that filled every corner with sound. I found myself letting my eyes drift up to look at the beautiful building while letting the music wash over me. A few things to know: - The Bach Society performs often, but the best time to catch a show is in Feb. Mostly so you can catch many more shows that month as they perform almost daily. - Parking on campus is tough. Try the Alfond Sports Center for visitor spots or go directly to the SunTrust garage off of Park Avenue. - Subscribe to the newsletter to get special deals and updates. I've seen plenty of BOGOs offered! - No photography of the performers. This one is a bummer because I want to share the great experience, but good to note. Otherwise, Orlando is lucky to have this group! Support them by getting tickets to a show!

I really didnt walk throughout the venue to see it all. My seat was an orchestra seat with a up close and excellent view of the stage. Once i was seated i noticed the stage curtain and seating was dated the seats a red velvet material. Not much room to move around in the seat but plenty infront for others to pass to reach their seat. The concert and sound was AMAZING! I have loved Anita over 30yrs. I hear there is a new theatre near by. I would not have cared if Bob Carr theatre was missing the roof. I was here to hear the sounds of a legend. The concert was all that and some. It was packed! I met fans who flew in from Denmark and all over for this special night. There was No seat left empty! There were no dust particles flying thru the air, just the beautiful sounds of the band and the sultry voice of Anita! I would do it all over again. Once the concert started i never sat down longer than 15 seconds anyway. If i didnt dance a hole in the floor that night i think Bob Carr is built to withstand anything.

In terms of acoustics, I couldn't believe this was a live performance. However, the auditorium is able to seat many people, there is an on-site bar that sells a variety of beverages and sweet snacks/nut blends, and all staff I encountered every step of the way from parking, tickets, bar cashier, to door attendants were kind and efficient. While the stage area is not very big or complex, the performers do a great job of making use of the space and making it an immersive experience. I've seen some of the same performers in different shows and they are very talented. They do shows with acting, singing, and dancing and have a diverse cast of all ages. The theatre is family owned. I've personally met Wade, one of the owners, and he is always friendly. You can feel the passion the owners have for the theatre and the productions they do there. If you haven't checked this place out, I'd recommend looking at their show list and visiting!
