I saw Dr. Jack Stephens in the Spring office over 1.5 years ago for my lower back crowns, which…read morecame off. Had those for some time and thought I needed a professional to tell me if I need them replaced. (note, I am extremely scared of dentists due to improper care in the past) NOTE: I paid $10.000 for the horrible service that I am trying to be brief about on here. $5.000 for my permanent retainers. He came up with a plan that my crowns needed to be replaced. I had permanent retainers placed by my Orthodontist years ago to keep my lower front teeth in place, and I paid $5,000 for those. He took it upon himself to remove my permanent retainers, told me that my teeth would not move, I am 57, of course, they will move. He half extracted one of my lower front teeth in the process, very painful. I cannot bite into anything; my lifestyle/food habits have changed due to the half extraction/cannot bite into any foods. I kept going back and forth throughout that time while he tried to come up with a plan for my 4 front teeth. He said for me to come into his office on 6/2/2025, which I did to discuss the bridge he said was the only plan he had that could fix what he messed up. We have been on the phone multiple times trying to come up with a solution for the mess he created with my 4 lower front teeth. On 6/2/2025, he dismissed me and said I was not his patient anymore, and said he was sorry for the mess he created. He had planned the dismissal and did not want me in his office anymore. He took my 10.000 andmade my teeth worse. He said I am not to come into his office anymore. Got a call from his office manager on 6/5/2025, stating I will not get a refund/no work to be done to fix my teeth/not to call or come into the office again... I am at a loss as to what my next move is because Dr. Stephens is the person who created the mess with my teeth, took my permanent retainers out without my permission, took my money, and refused to fix my teeth or see me again due to me being 'unhappy,' he stated... Dr. Stephens has his eyes set on money/financial gains, not on helping patients. Steals your money and does not treat the patient/me and then discards his patients after taking their finances...

Before I began this review I read other reviews written about Advance Dental. I found that there…read morewas a lot of negativity towards them being voiced. Of course I've had my shared of dentists in my life that I've never really like or was always skeptical of going to. However I personally have never, I mean never had any problems with Advance Dental. From the moment I walk into the office being greeted by Katherine, Gina, Alondra and Kayla who makes always feel welcomed , to being escorted to the dentist chair to be seen by Dr. Emily. I've had to have 10 implants put into my mouth, which was very expensive. Dr. Emily along with Dr. Bryan was the doctors that performed each one of them, (along with Yomi and Brandon). I must admit that it was painful, but Dr. Emily did every thing she could to alleviate as much pain as possible and of course me thinking about the end results mentally helped a lot. Dr. Emily was very attentive to my needs and any questions or concerns that I had. Now all the implants are completed and most of my crowns are in, just waiting for the remainder of my gums to heal to finish the process. Now to the expensive part I previously spoke of above. When I first went to Advance Dental I did express to them that I'd like to get implants but wasn't sure if I had an insurance that would cover it, because I definitely could not afford to pay out of pocket for this whole procedure. Fortunately the office manager, Mirita, took the time and got right on it. She did the research and worked diligently with the insurances that I had and made it happen. Of course I did have my parts to pay, but just a fraction to what the insurance companies paid. So with all this being said I'd like to thank everyone there, Dr. Linh, Rosa, Joselyn, Natalie, Thad and of course The Team support dog "Butter". I CAN NOW SMILE AGAIN, Thank you All D Kennebrew-Cooper

Advance Dental has a beautiful office, is very comfortable and inviting. When I arrived I was…read moregreeted kindly and given paperwork to complete. It would have been nice to receive this online to complete ahead of time. Well the reason I was at Advance was because my insurance changed and I was looking for someone in my new network. Advance Dental is on my providers website as in network. When I called to set up my appointment I asked Kayla if Advance Dental was in network with my provider, she paused and said they take my insurance. I asked how much my visit would be and she told they would give me that info prior to my scheduled visit. When I arrived early for my 1:30 appointment, completed their paperwork, I was told 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment that they were not in network with my provider I was told that I could get an exam, X-rays, and evaluation for $69. Once this was done Dr. Emily came in and examined my teeth and recommended a deep cleaning. Not a problem with at recommendation, but there was another additional cost that they never discussed with me prior to my visit as requested. I asked to speak to the office manager so I could discuss how I felt I had been misinformed. I was told the manager was busy and could not speak to me. The office managers name is Mirta. Here's the bottom line of this review. I trust the way my interaction was handled is just a one off. Done I could not speak to the office manager I just thought it would helpful to others to ask "what I will have to pay questions" clearly and upfront before you arrive at their office.

Updated review:…read more Today I came back to get my night guard that I paid $255 for. It took longer than they told me for it to be made. They said it would be 2 weeks, but it was actually 3. Auxi the manager met with me when I came in to get my night guard and tried to listen to what I had to say and even though there is nothing she can do to correct the issue, she was very sweet and really wanted to make things right. I told her that I just don't want that lady who worked on my teeth to ever touch me ever again. I cried the whole time reliving the story definitely still traumatized from the whole thing. I still don't want to come back here. My concerns are that the staff they hired is trained to rush you. During my visit Auxi told me she hates going to offices where you wait around and don't get seen. I like to actually have all my paperwork filled out correctly so that way I know the office has my insurance to bill and has my allergies so they don't try to kill me, and the rushing doesn't feel any more efficient and they make the whole experience of the dentist way more anxiety filled. Inrelived the whole experience with her and i did my best to make it clear that her staff doesn't have patient comfort in mind. They need to be trained on how to treat people. I wasn't rude or combative and I should not have been treated like I was some idiot who doesn't understand a what a bite wing or an impression tray is. I should not be abused and when I say something hurts or something doesn't fit then they should listen. Auxi seemed to care and want to make things right but there wasn't anything she could do. She also told me and this seemed so random, but that my teeth grinding was because of anxiety. Ok not sure how that all fit into our talk. Especially because I don't have a mental illness and have not been diagnosed with any kind of mental anxiety disorders or anything. And she is not a doctor so I am not sure how to take her speculation. It threw me off. The dentist came in to help me try on the night guard. He immediately insulted my appearance. I had been crying with Auxi because I was telling her about the last time I was there. My face was red. He made comments about how my face was red and how it looked like I had seen too much sun. For the actual night guard when they put it in my mouth. I told him it felt weird. It felt like there was a gap and a lot of pressure on my back teeth and I asked if I should be able to bite down on all of it because isn't that the point of the night guard? The dentist told me there wasn't a gap and again made me feel like the staff doesn't listen to their patients. If I am telling you something doesn't feel right you shouldn't tell me to experience it differently. It would be nice to have them actually look at it and make sure it is correct. I told him my concerns that it wasn't fitting right. He didn't seem to care. I told him that I was getting my bottom teeth corrected for overcrowding and that I was pretty sure that I couldn't wear the night guard and my aligners. He said that was true that I can't wear the night guard and the aligners. I asked how to clean the night guard since they gave me no information on what to do with it. They told me to buy denture cleaner and that it might smell bad. The dentist then told me not to let my pets chew on it. Another odd comment. I basically wasted my whole morning having to re-live that traumatic day, and then because I can't wear the night guard and the aligners I wasted $255 on buying a night guard I will never wear because I can't wear it with my aligners. So overall again I don't recommend people coming here. They will still rush you. They will not listen to you. They will not treat you with dignity. They treat you like you don't know what you are talking about because you aren't a doctor/dentist. They upsell you because they don't listen (like the multiple times I said I was getting my bottom teeth corrected for overcrowding yet they really wanted me to get a bottom night guard). And they waste your time. I appreciate that Auxi was trying to help, but it doesn't make up for the experience and then the fitting with the dentist really solidified that her words were just words and nothing in the office had actually changed.
