Clement's is generally a safe bet when it comes to coffee / tea etc., and I have to say, I'm a bit of a fan, my favourite branch of this local coffee chain being the Botanic one (which is quite possibly why it has *so* many reviews). In response to the SU version of Clements, I must say, it's a bit of a letdown.
Firstly, it's teeny. Queens' SU is meant to provide service for somewhere in the region of 20,000 students, yet all they get is a pokey little coffee shop that NEVER has any seats. I think I've been lucky enough to find a seat on three occasions the entire time I was at Queen', which is a bit ridiculous.
Secondly, any coffee shop with mirrors along one of the walls, and tables placed directly in front of them, deserves to be...well, I'll stop there. It annoys the life out of me! I understand that they are there to give the illusion of more space, but when you're seated in front of it, it's incredibly distracting. And I don't particularly like admiring myself eat.
Thirdly, I'm a bit confused as to the opening hours. The Queens' website states that it's open from 8am until 10:30 from Monday to Friday, and maybe things have changed in the last few months, but I never saw it open until 10:30pm, ever.
