Doing well in difficult times. Lovely helpful staff with a great selection of drinks and views over the River Clyde.

Decent pub with another bar in the cellar, where they often have live music. Views over the Firth of Clyde out the back windows.

Service in here has always been good and one of the bartenders, Brendan, is game for a laugh! Food is good in here if you're looking for a nice bite for lunch but I wouldnt recommend dinner as this place gets packed at night time! Serious standing room only. If your going for your lunch, sit up the back as there is a huge window with panoramic views of the Clyde estuary. Whenever I sit here I just get transfixed watching all the boats and ferrys! One of the best sunsets this side of Timbuktu can be viewed from this pub as well! Quiz night is always a laugh in the Cafe but if you want to attend, bring your pal from Mensa as its bloody impossible! But a good laugh all the same!

Offering spectacular views across the Clyde, the best thing about the Cafe is that this is predominantly a local bar. In other words, rather than being tacky, touristy or ridiculously over-priced, it just so happens to be a normal bar with a spectacular location. Exceedingly child friendly during the day, the place can be lively at night and offers an extensive menu and fine selection of beers on tap, including Erdinger.

We finally figured out we had to order food at the bar, and of course I got fish and chips. The food took some time to come out, but honestly it was well worth it. THIS WAS THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS I HAVE EVER EATEN. Maybe it's because I'm an American tourist and I haven't had enough fish and chips to make a fair assessment. But. I tell you. The fish was fried to perfection: flaky, crispy, and not too greasy. I typically hate peas, but these ones were sweet and fresh. The fries were also good. I am so happy to have stumbled upon this place with my family. I ate fish and chips about 5 other times while I was in the British Isles and none of those hold a candle to this place. Highly recommend for the fish!

A wetherspoons pub, that's where!! This pub, like many of the other wetherspoons was in a grand building with high ceilings and loads of seating. The toilets are big and bright and always clean. We were able to order some drinks and find a great table with a decent view of Greenock. My guy and I only stayed for a few as we were on our way to a concert at the Beacon, but we had high hopes of making it back after the concert for some snacks after checking out the substantial food menu. Unfortunately, we didn't get back from the concert before 11pm (when they stop selling food), but we did stop back in for more drinks and crisps on our way back to the hotel. The perfect night cap to an amazing night.
