The atlas orthogonal approach was developed by Dr. Roy Sweat of Atlanta Georgia. There is more on this if you google him. I had so many unexplained things, normal tests and yet had muscle fasiculations and intense headaches, pain. While I am still a work in progress I have found 2 individuals that can help me. I took my session which is supposed to help you loose inches. She measured me before and after and I had lost an inch in my hips Who doesn't love that after being on the table for about 30 minutes. After my session we talked about what I was looking for and it turns out what I really needed was better health. Now don't get me wrong, I'm pretty healthy, but what I realized was some of the aches and pains I was accepting as my normal could be made better with adjustments. Fast forward to my first adjustment. Let me tell you Dr. Singletary may be petite, but she's mighty and I mean mighty strong . She adjusted the heck out of my back and neck. She also explained to me that she's not a "neck popper" and focuses on the patient in terms of nutrition and overall wellness, and I can vouch for this. In the plan that she created for me - yes, this isn't a one and done thing, she gave me laser and redlight therapy, decompression table, adjustments, and a ton of reinforcement. When I got to the appt, they 1) misgendered me and 2) told me the referral "doesn't work" because it's missing information they never asked for. They had almost an entire day to contact my Primary Care office to ask for the referral to be fixed but because of pure laziness they chose to waste my time. What's worse, is after they told me the referral won't be accepted they said "we have a 15 minute grace period..." like I was going to be able to get my Primary Care office on the phone and a new referral sent over in under 15 minutes. That's asinine. The receptionist was flat out heartless.

Unprofessional and Unresponsive Care This is the second time…read moreI've had to write a review about the poor service at this clinic, and unfortunately, it seems nothing has changed. My first experience involved a serious medication error where my prescription was mixed up with another patient's. Despite calling numerous times and clearly explaining the issue, it took them two full days to correct it. That was frustrating enough. Now, I've been without my medication for 7 days and have made multiple attempts over the last four days to get a simple prescription refill. I've spoken with two different staff members and asked repeatedly for either a manager or Dr. Abernathy to contact me--no one has followed up. The receptionist, whose attitude was cold and dismissive, clearly showed no sense of urgency or empathy. Instead of helping, she pushed me off to Ms. Kia, Dr. Abernathy's coordinator or assistant. I left multiple messages for her, and none of them were returned. I even contacted the Miami-based call center, where I was told for a second time that my request would be "expedited." But when I asked what "expedited" meant, no one could provide a timeline or answer--it was just another empty promise. This has now been repeated with no action taken. To make matters worse, my pharmacy also reached out directly and spoke with a staff member named Nya, who again did absolutely nothing to move the process forward. There is no accountability, no urgency, and certainly no adherence to the basic Patients' Bill of Rights. As my condition worsens each day without the needed medication, I am deeply concerned for my health and frustrated by the clinic's indifference. As a public servant and former medical professional, I find this level of care deeply troubling and unacceptable. I would never treat any patient with such neglect or disregard. Medical professionals are expected to operate with compassion, competence, and integrity--none of which were displayed here. To be clear, this review is not directed at Dr. Abernathy personally, but the ongoing failure of his staff reflects poorly on the entire practice. That this is the second time I've had to write about such experiences shows that these issues are not isolated incidents--they are part of a larger pattern of dysfunction and poor patient care. Which means you can park and then go to your appointment and then grab a bite to eat around the area... I think the only restriction is you have to leave Before 4 PM on game nights. The team here is awesome. I'm currently working with Emily and have been for years. She's great as are the rest of the team members. Conveniently located across the hall from the orthopedic surgeons so you can have one stop shopping if you need to see both your doctor and the therapist on the same day.

To start off, over the course of my…read morefirst few appointments, I asked one of the front desk ladies, Tiffany, four times to confirm my insurance co-payment for my physical therapy sessions; she assured no co-payment would be over $30. Finally, on my 4th therapy session, Tiffany told me that I have a $0 co-payment since I've met my insurance deductible. I made the mistake of trusting Tiffany's word and continued my sessions feeling relieved that I had no copayment which was crucial for me since as a student, I don't have a substantial source of income. Before my 12th therapy session at this practice, I received a bill for $200 for five of my sessions; I abruptly stopped my therapy sessions then. I talked to the facility manager, Mike, who told me that he would find out more details. He never followed up even after I emailed and called him multiple times. Finally, after multiple calls and emails, I was able to get a hold of him. He stated that he had talked to Tiffany and that she had told me that I had a $40 per session co-payment (that is a total of $440 that I had to pay out of pocket). He told me he would email me additional billing support, which he never did. Despite continuously being in pain, I had to stop going to this practice because I do not trust the incompetent management and lack of professionalism at this facility. I'm very unhappy with the way I was treated as a patient and never recommend anyone to go to this practice.

It was Dr. Windman, from a good friend from a tbi site's recommendation, who started me on my real path of healing. I had learned from another informed doctor about 8 months prior to meeting her that my 3 years of progressively debilitating every day, all day migraines (16 months of pushing myself and all the while losing more and more abilities until eventually I could no longer push myself and then 14 months of profound, often bed-bound, in a dark room mind-melting pain and skill disability) were actually just symptoms of a deteriorating and destabilized neck that was compromising the nerves that fed my brain what it needed to function and grow. A neck that was injured very badly while caretaking a family member. So I was beginning to feel some sense of myself through my other doctor's correct assessment (the first real one after 7 wrongly diagnosing doctors) and starting to think more clearly. But, it was Dr. Windman and her husband's xrays that showed me my complete damage. And it was Dr. Windman and her ao procedure that had me get up from the table without migraine after having had the same migraine for 3 years 8 months. Within 2 weeks I was reading and memory was returning (I had almost no memory for the previous 2 years), within 3 my moods were stabilizing. My brain started thinking faster. My intelligence started improving. I was able to start driving short distances, my disorientation and dizziness drastically improved. I have been seeing her weekly ever since. I have had a few set backs but she is there every step of the way, showing me new things to help reverse all the damage of those horrific years. I still have brain injuries and my bones learned to pop out and lock up after all that trauma, but I am learning and improving weekly and without this wonderful woman I would still be stuck back in the half-life I had. I avoided a surgery that my other doctor was encouraging. There is no need for it now (it was a nerve-neck release surgery that would have been uncovered by insurance). Each day I am gaining new skills and finally my brain has what it needs to start repairing all that damage. I am working on postural therapies that Dr. Windman has suggested. She also is amazing with cranial sacral work and every week my brain frees itself again after locking up when I do activities that I could not do at all for those previous years. She patiently puts back the parts that have fallen out again and teaches me more to help me learn how to improve. I am getting stronger each month. It is a reversal of my first year of progressively bad health. It's amazing to feel. I may never reverse all the brain injury that occurred during those dark years, but my chances of gaining a new life have improved substantially because I went to this ao practice and this wonderful doctor.
