I wish I could give this place negative stars. I rented a room for my dad to take a bath and they…read morecharged me an extra 100$ the following day. Huge rip off, bathroom was so hard to get into and close the door behind you. There was no screen on the window, when asking why I was charged extra they claimed it was for the dog, I paid a 10$ fee when checking in, which is my dads service dog for his breathing. It appears this isn't the first time they charge people extra fees and claim there is nothing they can do to reverse the charge. I will be reporting them to better business bureau. This place was very dirty outside, dogs barking and walking around the hotel but yet I'm charged extra for a service animal. It's a shame how people take advantage of you! Bathroom had hair and dust inside the sink from previous guests, the ac would not stay on, the window in the bathroom also missing a screen. Not a clean room at all. 258$ for one night at this place, do not get scammed, drive somewhere else. Go to Spokane, it's worth it.

We went through Spokane without stopping which was a huge mistake. We were tired traveling all day and ended up at the Golden Spur in Newport WA. The manager/owner was not willing to offer any discounts on Thursday evening and charged us the $99.99+ tax for the room. He had the upper hand since the motel was in the middle of nowhere. Entering the room we saw that the curtains were missing a few drapery hooks and they were closed together with binder clips. Upholstered chair stained (either clean chair or throw it out). Room had an odd odor may have been the mold on the bathroom walls. Speaking of the bathroom, floor tile was broken as well as the bathroom sink was cracked. Furniture was mismatched and the desk appeared to have milk/ice cream dried on the handles. The linen was worn and old. The sheets were wrinkled, dingy and appeared as if someone had slept on them. The door did not have a dead bolt or a safety chain. The only lock was in the door knob. We had our old cooler propped against the door for added security. WIFI was advertised but not provided a password, no ice machine that we were aware of. There was a plastic hose running on wall. Hubby is a retired general contractor and he had no idea what the hose was for. Heater was 2 ft from bed nd would come on periodically. Very noisy. Had considered packing up and leaving. The only thing missing was Michael Myers (Halloween reference). Positive: TV (limited cable), microwave, small fridge, no bedbugs, pets permitted.

Great dive bar with tons of history! It's the oldest continually operating bar in Idaho. Christine…read moreand Kyle are fun to hang with.

And, walk through them you must to check in as the smoky bar is also where you check in to the hotel, which is located directly above the saloon. We had made a reservation online and I was appreciative that they let us check in a little bit early so we could take a nap before heading off to Silverwood for the afternoon and evening. Our room was very small, featuring a double bed, an open closet area, and a small table with a coffee pot and lamp. I was grateful there was air conditioning - a window unit which worked quickly to cool off the room on a hot day. The bathrooms here are shared, so you have to leave your room to use them - they were clean when we arrived (and looked recently remodeled), but by the next morning were pretty messy after other guests had finished their morning routines. There were no instructions on where to find extra bath towels so we ended up having to share the last remaining clean one. Our room only had one outlet, which was also shared by the lamp and air conditioner, so charging our phones was difficult when we arrived back late that night after experiencing Silverwood. There was also a lot of noise from the saloon below us, but we were tired so fell asleep quickly. Although I did sleep fitfully as I didn't feel this was the safest experience: even late at night, the door to the saloon was open so patrons could easily have come up to the hotel level - and there was only a small doorknob lock on our room. No deadbolt! The White Horse was an experience for sure. The rates were cheap, and the room was clean. But due to the safety factor I'm not sure I would stay here again.
