I recently toured this day care on a Friday midday with my husband the day we went to go see Star…read moreTrek. We were not expecting to go tour a daycare, and this place was not expecting us. I was pleasantly surprised and touring this place has caused us to tour various other daycares in this area as a possible choice for my son once he turns one in August. Pros: It is in the Waterford Lakes Shopping center so you can run errands at the stores there or go to the gym, or even pick up dinner. The day care has a parent's night out once a month which is very convenient if you're like me and don't have any family in the area. The center is brand new, and apparently under new management which is also making some decor changes. For a one year old at the time of our visit they were charging 195$ per week. They are outfitted with web cameras that parents and family can use to see the child throughout the day (extra 20$ per month charge). Meals are included (3 snacks and lunch with milk). They have a playground in the back (I did not get to see it in person). Curriculum, lessons, and menus are posted daily for parents. When we walked through the classrooms we got to see the teachers in action singing songs and actually interacting with the kids. Kids actually ran up to the director and hugged her. Food was actually being prepared in the kitchen (sandwhiches and hot food in a large pot). There was a bilingual program in place for sign language and English, no Spanish. Cons: This place only accepts kids one year or older. The webcam fee is not worked into the price of the weekly tuition. Meals on the menu looked healthy, but the snacks were along the line of Cheez-its and apple juice (I really don't want to give my kid high sodium snacks or juice, so would have to bring my own snacks). The day care's construction looks small from the outside, but is really big on the inside (like the TARDIS) in the sense that it is long and skinny. This means that in order to get into certain classrooms you may have to walk through another class. No Spanish classes offered (I'm raising my son bilingually). Security was just a receptionist and a half-door (Dutch door) that was locked.
