He clearly gave quotes for items needed, and clearly explained while some items were preventative some things were an immediate need to be safe. I like that - I didn't feel pressured to make any choices but my own. In the end (no hard sell he was a tru professional). I am extremely satisfied and can sleep well, knowing that I can burn a fire in my hearth and leave the rest of the house unharmed. Anyone reading this review who has a fireplace in their home should do regular inspections to make sure that they didn't have an event like I did. My damper failed and slammed shut and my entire house (and lungs) was filled with smoke and fire extinguisher residue. Get your fireplace and chimney inspected regularly it could cost your life if you don't. I'm making a nice warm fire today and thankful for their service! I am blessed in many ways and incredibly lucky I found Young's Chimney. Two thumbs up my new British Chimney Sweep, see you next year and every year. I got a quick appointment time for the fact the weather had just chilled. Kenneth came out and took a quick look at the chimney and said it didn't need to be cleaned, just inspected. Kenneth went on the roof and spent some time up there checking it out. I was told it looked good and to start with a duraflame type log to make sure the smoke went where it was supposed to. It was stressed to me that if the smoke entered the home, I should only open the front door and nothing else, in order to draw the smoke up the chimney. Finally, I was told it was recommended to have a cleaning and inspection every 20-30 fires. I couldn't be more pleased with the honesty, integrity, and thoroughness of Pickwick Chimney Sweeps.

The night before they were suppose to come, they called at 9 pm stating they would not be able to make it. They also would not reschedule me at that time. I called back a few days later and was told they could not come out for several months. I was annoyed but I had already bought the Groupon and I wasn't using my fireplace in the middle of the summer so I decided to wait and let them come. This morning my wife received a phone call from them stating that they would not be coming next week because they no longer service our area. Its ridiculous that we waited 7 months and they could not schedule us. I will not recommend this company to anyone!
