It's important to set your expectations when coming here. This place is more for people who just need a massage for true back issues. This is not a "spa" - no robes, no mimosas or fruit infused waters , no heated tables, no frills of any kind. My expectations were set too high and therefore I was very disappointed as I was expecting a true spa massage. As long as you are expecting just a plain massage experience, this place would be fine. read more

She globbed on the massage oil And despite repeated requests still did not give me any kind of pressure. about 45 minutes in I was wishing it was over. In addition where most rooms are usually warm this room the a/c blows right on you. my wife liked her massage much better with the husband but she was cold also. get what you pay for I guess, 90 minutes was $165.... read more

I found this place on Yelp, and was very pleased with my hour long massage from Suzanne. Like the other reviewer, I was apprehensive upon arrival, given that the spa is in a run down strip mall and the storefront doesn't look very welcoming. The waiting area is also very "new-agey" and not at all modern. Fortunately, this was one of those situations where I'm glad I didn't judge the book by its cover! The massage therapy room was clean and pleasant, and Suzanne was an excellent massage therapist. She made the appropriate inquiries about my desired level of pressure and then went to work without making much small talk (which I appreciated!). She spent extra time on my back and shoulders, per my request, and was very thorough and systematic throughout the 60 minute, full body massage. Suzanne also gave me feedback after the massage on areas where she found tightness in my muscles and provided suggestions on how I can work to minimize this tension in between massages. Last but not least, the prices are great - certainly, much cheaper than the spas I visit in my hometown of San Francisco! So, if you're looking for a great massage at a great price in Clearwater Beach, I suggest giving this place a try! read more

I am shocked this place has not been reviewed! When I first walked by their location I was a little apprehensive. They are in an old run down looking little strip mall. Boy, was I mistaken. It was the best massage ever. Suzanne was amazing. She was friendly and professional. The interior was clean and minimal. The prices are great. After the massage it was the first time in weeks I had a restful sleep. She spent lots of time and effort on my tightest muscles. I would definitely go here again. In fact, if I am trying to figure out an excuse to come back to Clearwater Beach just to see her. read more

Not the typical "fluff and buff" spa. I was very pleased to find this slightly off the beaten path massage center. The massage was tailored to my needs and requests at just the right pressure. Two weeks ago, I stepped in to Clearwater Beach Spa and had such a memorable time. I left with the serenity and relaxation I was searching for plus, helpful tips on my health conditions. As noted in past reviews, it is not the fanciest spa. But, it is the smartest spa in the area. What it lacks in curb appeal, is completely overshadowed by the quality of customer service. Suzanne and Gibson are both very knowledgable and skilled massage therapists. They once owned a health food store, practice Healing Touch and are both such thoughtful people. They incorporate their backgrounds in to the massage, making it a truly unique experience. My massage was with Suzanne. It was honestly the best massage I've ever had. I have been suffering from two bulging discs in my neck. Suzanne was so conscientious about my condition. She not only taught me stretches I could do at home but, also really helped relieve the tension I have been living with since my accident. It has been two weeks since my massage with Suzanne, and I can say that I feel way more confident about how far my healing has come. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone in the Clearwater Beach area! Wow - what a great find! While visiting Clearwater Beach last weekend, we were desperately seeking a good massage. I looked on yelp and found this place so we booked. We called a day in advance and were able to get an appointment. The owners are a married couple that acquired the place in 2004. It is a small shop that you wouldn't find unless someone showed you (like free shuttle). The rooms were clean and offered relaxing music. We both booked hour massages which were well worth the $100 fee. We originally booked at the hotel where they wanted $80 for 30 mins and later cancelled when we found this place. Great experience and just what we needed to kick off our relaxing beach vacation. My husband and I got a relaxation couples massage and we both thought it was one of the best we have had. They were so knowledgeable and shared a lot of great advice to help us manage our tension/pain points in the future. Clearwater Beach Spa is a must for anyone one vacation and trying to relax. Suzanne and Gibson are both wonderful. Married couple, local, and know the area and give great massages. They were very pleasant and upfront. The massage room was immaculately clean and the temperature was perfect. Great ambience and background music to keep you relaxed. THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD! This spa is the best kept secret in all of Florida. I have been coming to Clearwater Beach for over 8 years now and have passed by the spa many times but never went in. I had terrible back pain from walking barefoot on the beach for too long. I was desparate for relief so I booked an appointment with Gibson who owns the spa with his wife suzanne. That was the best decision I made! After a one hour treatment my aches and pains were gone. Gibson has an intuitive touch. His fingers could feel exactly where my knots and tension were without me even saying a word. The experience was complete with hot towels wrapped around my aching feet and zen music softly playing in the background. I'm a 47 year old Canadian woman and had a stroke 10 years ago that left me with right-sided paralysis. I've since regained my mobility but have weekly massage treatments in Canada to combat the constant stiffness I have on my right side. I have had literally hundreds of massages and can honestly say that the massage treatment I received from Gibson had been by far the best! TRY ROSSITER: I also tried a treatment of connective tissue manipulation techniques that Gibson suggested called Rossiter. After just one treatment I regained more mobility in my right hip and had a greater range of motion in all my muscles. I was amazed! My muscles have never felt so loose and flexible- even before my stroke! After a few more treatments I had completely improved my gait. My walking was smoother and the freer range of motion allowed me to walk taller and more easily with better posture. I can't say enough wonderful things about Gibson and the Clearwater Beach spa.I knew that any return trip to Clearwater would include massage and Rossiter treatments by Gibson. DO NOT VISIT this spa. It is a hole in the wall in a strip mall. Sons looked on Yelp and booked a massage and foot parafin and also included the tip. A 4 year old could have rubbed my leg better. The floral odor was so bad, I had to leave after 10 minutes. Asked the owner for half a refund, she said she had to talk to the owner. I said you are the owner. Said NO! What a disaster! Outstanding experience. My wife and I did an hour long couples massage-- she was with Suzanne and I was with Gibson. Generally speaking, massage therapists put one hand on my back, make a comment to the effect of "I have never felt anyone as tense as you are," and recoil. Not so here! My wife says that they eat muscle knots for breakfast. I found Gibson incredibly talented as well as knowledgeable and informed. We are visiting Clearwater beach from out of town but can't wait to return, not least because of this place. read more

Many thanks to Gibson for an absolutely amazing deep tissue massage yesterday. I regularly have deep tissue massages and am very particular for people who really understand muscles, trigger points and how to work through some of my worst areas. I was down here in Florida in Feb for a conference. All day sitting in a chair made my chronic back pain of 10 years even worse. I booked a massage with Gibson and I swear, I was very sore the next day then nearly pain free for two weeks (the first time in 10 years), and probably some improvement now two months later. I wish I would have written the review sooner, but I am in Naples Fl now and trying to figure out how to get my husband to drive me 3 hours for a massage!! So far he is not enthusiastic but I will keep trying. Gibson! Do you make house calls? You absolutely will not go wrong if you have chronic musculoskeletal back issues.
