Every time I'm on vacation in a resort, I always book a massage! I have them regularly and I am so picky, so usually go to just one person regularly. On vacation, I don't know who to request, so I'm always in doubt of how good it will be, until I actually have the massage. I arrived on Friday at 10 in the morning to be greeted by Joseph. He checked me in, offered me a refreshment and a cookie while I waited. He was so nice. He even gave me a birthday discount when I checked out which I very much appreciate! I am staying at the hotel next door but after reading reviews decided to book at Sandava Spa. I booked online which is super convenient. I called to confirm my appointment a few hours later since I never received a confirmation email. Turns out the email went to my spam folder. I accidentally booked for the wrong day but luckily the spa had availability on the day I needed and the time worked for my schedule. I booked the Prenatal Massage for 60 minutes. I arrived fifteen minutes early and checked in and was given a locker key. I changed into the spa robe and went to the relaxation room. It was quaint, quiet and the views from the 7th floor are impressive. Around 2:30 I was greeted by Phoenix my masseuse. She brought me to a treatment room and was very knowledgeable about prenatal massages. The entire massage was great! I feel so relaxed and pampered. I'll start by saying my services were 5 stars I went two days in a row because of the person who did my services. She was a DREAM as far as relaxation and fully giving you your time and what you paid for. For my friend 45th Birthday weekend we traveled to Clearwater to stay at the Hyatt beach and spa resort. We planned to utilize the spa the entire time and ran across a Groupon to use for one day of service. The Groupon deal was a STEAL as the services provided with the deal would've cost at least $75 more if purchased separately. Alyssa is a name to remember when making appointments here as well as Laura. These ladies go above and beyond and your body will melt at their every beckon touch. My face never felt so good nor has my back and I've been to many spas in my life all over the U.S and on the waters as well as other countries. It's something I do (spa treatments) and the technician Alyssa is the most memorable person who's every given me a massage. She is so multitaskingly fantastic I mean who has the skills to massage your hand and foot at the SAME TIME I mean I've never experienced one person doing both simultaneously and with ease and the proper pressure. The spa itself is a bit outdated in my opinion. I mean what spa doesn't have a steam room or a sauna? What spa only has 2 toilets in the locker room? What spa doesn't serve MIMOSAs in the relaxation room post services??? The relaxation room isn't located in a ideal area as well. It's right outside of service rooms and during one of my services I was tempted to have her BLAST the relaxation music because I could hear every glass mug, plate, etc.. as they were placed on the table. I could hear people conversing about their services or random discussions. The room is also WAY to bright. The view is AMAZING however the windows are large and I covered so if you are trying to wind down that won't be possible with the extreme brightness in tbt space. If I were to stay at the Hyatt again and Alyssa was still at the spa I would get a service only because of that not for the relaxation room or thé aww of the locker room which isn't anything to write home about. read more

I had a 90 minute massage over Memorial Day Weekend and the experience could not have been more relaxing. I was given a robe to change into in the locker room before enjoying a glass of water in the serenity room. The full wall waterfall makes the room so inviting and serene. The massage was incredible and well worth the money. I had a glass of water and cookie after - yum! I was staying at the hotel next door and this spa had better reviews so I am glad I came here instead - it lived up to its good reviews! read more

My fiancé and I came to Tampa for a work trip (I tagged along) soooo that meant SPA DAY for me! Staying in Clearwater there weren't too many options for Day Spas with the full Day Spa experience. Luckily found an AWESOME deal on Groupon for Sandava and was able to book my appointment same day. Joe (I'm guessing the Spa Manager) was SO easy to work with and coordinate with me. He was so sweet btw. Walked from my hotel, got a quick work out in, and then headed into the spa. The ladies pamper room area is small, but since I was alone in the whole spa it was perfect. Only 1 shower and 2 toilets. There weren't any styling tools or brushes (only combs). Luckily I didn't need to go anywhere after. The Relaxation area was AMAZING. Free treats all day. Infused waters. Coffee and tea. With the most beautiful view. Annnnnd I had this whole area to myself. I soaked it up and was in there for at least a few hours. Had a glass of wine too. My massage and facial were AMAZING. Pressure was not too hard and not too soft. Literally perfect. Facial was awesome and totally what I needed. They use Eminence products here which is great. With spa purchase you get access to the full hotel. Pool and jacuzzi (on the 16th floor) have beautiful views. Overall, I had the best time and would HIGHLY highly recommend this place. Go during the week as an extra bonus and have the place to yourself haha. So worth every penny! read more

Beautiful decor and though services are limited I thought they did a nice job. Cookies and pastries are gratis in the lovely waiting area. Locker rooms while new and clean are limited to WC, shower and lockers. No steam or sauna or pool. I had the beach boy facial and thought it very relaxing and therapeutic. read more

While staying at the Hyatt Regency Resort in Clearwater, FL My husband and I enjoyed some pampering at the Sandava Spa. We kicked off our vacation with a couples massage. I am 27 weeks pregnant and they were able to accommodate our request for a couples massage while providing me with a prenatal massage. They did charge us separately for each of our massages instead of a set rate for a couples massage. When we arrived we were greeted at the front desk and offered chocolates. Then we were guided to separate locker rooms, provided robes and sandals to change into. A locker with a key was provided to secure our clothes/my purse while we received our treatment. The locker room was stocked with several connivence items available for use (cotton balls, q-tips, mouth wash, razors, dental hygiene items, feminine hygiene items, shower caps). The spa lounge was very tranquil with soothing sage green decor and lots of succulents. There was also an indoor waterfall and spa music. The room was bright with a view of the gulf (not the beach). We enjoyed tea, fruit infused water, green apples and cookies while we decompressed in preparation for our massages. Overall the massages were excellent! My husbands had a 60 minute therapeutic massage with Alyssa and I had a prenatal massage with Betsy. We both were very satisfied with the quality of massages we received! The only downside of this massage was that the room was pretty bright. They had large windows with translucent blinds, letting in a lot of light. The massage therapists covered our eyes with cloths. This didn't detract from our experience much, it was just different from spa treatments I've in the past. The next day I decided to return for a prenatal facial, also with Betsy. This time the room was windowless and had a much more serene, dim environment. The facial was excellent and Betsy was very knowledgeable of all the products & ingredients. She was able to make recommendations for my skin and skincare while pregnant. I would say the facial was more informative and educational than overtly relaxing. We spent the 60 minutes talking about the treatments and my pregnancy. After applying a mask she gave me a neck and shoulder massage. I did feel a little like she was trying to sell me products but she wasn't pushy about it. I didn't ultimately decide to buy any products but my skin was bright and glowing when I finished. Overall I would recommend this spa to anyone staying at the Hyatt or otherwise staying in the area. Prices were also pretty affordable- only a little more than what I usually pay for spa treatments at home. read more

I stopped into the spa to pick up a couple of bath bombs; and was thrilled to learn the spa had a special on the Swedish Massage with a discounted price. I booked the hour-long massage, which marks the first time I've ever had a professional massage. Alyssa J was my attendant; and, she was completely professional, made sure my privacy was respected; and, performed a thoroughly relaxing massage that provided me with therapeutic pain relief for days after. I was a bit embarrassed falling asleep during the massage; and, was awakened by Alyssa closing the closet door and placing my robe across my midsection. After the massage, I made use of the Relaxation Room to catch up on some reading; and, I really enjoyed my collection of Stephen King short stories. read more

Fantastic pedicure and nice amenities. I love the fact that you can use the hotel's amenities when you get a spa treatment. That means access to the gym, pool, and rooftop terrace. Did we actually use any of these facilities? No, but it is still nice to have the option. And if it wasn't so hot, we might lay out at the pool one day. I did appreciate that they validate valet. Also, they automatically add in 18% gratuity. I like that, because then I don't have to figure out the tip. It is the little things. The waiting area is very nice. They have treats, a keurig, and fruit infused water. I went with two friends and we accidentally booked our spa treatments at different times (2 at 10 a.m. and 1 at 11:15 a.m.) Having such a serene waiting area where we could sip tea and eat treats made the waiting feel almost nonexistent. You can book treatments online. Make sure you book early. We ended up having to get up "early" on a Saturday, because we decided to book the Wednesday before. I know #firstworldproblems, but still worth noting. On to the actual treatment. I got the waterless pedicure. I asked why it was waterless and the clinician mentioned sanitary reasons. I can appreciate that. I really didn't feel like it lost anything not soaking my feet in water. I liked being on a massage table, because I just reclined and put an eye mask on. I thought the clinician did a great job. My feet feel pristine and I love the teal green color that I chose. I am so glad that I came here for my first spa experience. I have never been so satisfied with an establishment and their staff, space and services. This was an amazing place to unwind. From the start, you are welcomed in and all payment is saved for the end. I didn't have to worry about a thing but just making myself comfortable and relaxed. The staff was super friendly and the therapist who did my 90-min massage did an amazing job. I definitely recommend this place. Hotel spas are either amazing or disappointing....I have yet to find one that is "eh." This one falls on the amazing side of the spectrum. Every single element of our visit was absolutely perfect. First off, the staff is fabulous. They are all friendly, accommodating, and really care how your experience is. Secondly, the atmosphere. So relaxing. The relaxation area has large windows overlooking the bay and high, gorgeous ceilings, along with infused waters. Thirdly, the couples massage we had was so relaxing...they really differentiate between deep tissue and relaxing, which is sometimes hard to find.
