    Bowling stand for little bowlers
    Maria D.

Been here twice now, both "ok" experiences. I was pretty excited about the "glow bowling" and we reserved our lane and brought our two granddaughters for what I thought would be more of an experience. Because it was a special event we had to check in with the lady at the table but go to the counter to pay and get our shoes. While we were early and one of the first few people in line, the line grew very quickly and the process of going two places didn't make sense. We were given lane 1 and since we paid $35 for the lane my husband and myself decided to bowl as well. However we quickly found out that lanes 1-9 can not be changed from bumpers to non for different players. You either have bumpers for all or you don't. Bummer. We also requested one of the stands to assist our little ones. It was made of chrome and unlike the one we used weeks earlier didn't have a grip on the feet and slid around. A few lanes down someone had a cool dinosaur stand and our girls immediately wanted that one. When I inquired I was told they only had one. Anyone who deals with small children can tell you the problems that will cause. In fact because they only had four stands overall we had to share our stand with another family a few lanes down and it was a constant back and forth. They were also short on the 6 lbs balls and were asking everyone to share. Why host an event geared towards families than not have enough supplies to go around?!? The glow bowl was to run from 2-4pm and we planned our day around that time frame. However because of the chaos with the line at the counter it started 30 minutes late. We were still allowed to play for the two hours which was appreciated. After a few rolls down the lane our girls were bored and we were too. We wanted to get the girls some ice cream but they didn't have a snack bar, I suppose because their restaurant is next door. I felt a little misled and thought glow bowl would be cooler. All they basically did is turn the lights off and had some colored lights. I thought things would actually glow and that's what we told our girls. They played some 80's music but since this was a kids event something more familiar to them would have been better. A few times during the event they had a "train" that went across the screens and if it stopped on yours you got a prize. They also handed out a small bag of Valentine's Day candy. Other than that it was just bowling. I just kept thinking there ought to be more to this for the $35 a lane price tag. So now we've been here twice. First time was fun, second time was more like a task. If we take the girls bowling again we'll seek out somewhere that has the cool dinosaur stands for everyone and offers a bit more.

    Counter/arcade, etc.

Nice, clean and kept up to date. The automated screens are easy enough to set up and understand. Not the best price in the world, but not bad. I had fun here and good service.

Here's the action packed side show of the guys getting our bowling balls back from an abyss of no return

Definitely appreciated that! The drinks were well-made, and there was a great selection of games to choose from. Getting coins is easy too--you can purchase them directly from the bartender The service was excellent throughout our visit. The staff was attentive, professional, and friendly, and I also enjoyed their creative and fun drink menu This is definitely a place worth checking out. Beyond the arcade games, they also have N64 games and bowling, making it a great destination for a night out with friends or a fun outing with family!

One of their bartenders won first place at the VeloCity cocktail competition. There's also an ice cream bar on site with its own hours. The arcade has skeeball, an original 1990s X-Men cabinet, House of the Dead, Rampage, and other classic games. Bowling lanes are separate from the arcade area. They also host private events. Parking is available next door at the North Queen Street Garage. Worth checking their hours before heading over since they're closed Monday and Tuesday. Good spot for dinner, drinks, arcade games, and bowling in one place.

This is a small business running this arcade and it was a great experience. The age range of us are young adults around 18 and older. And the arcade games were fun for us as adults, so you can imagine your child would love it too. Please keep in mind we did not try the following: food, baseball cage, or mini golf area. The games are like a snippet in the past. There are SpongeBob related games which feels like the 90's in the arcade. A lot of the games are ball-based or involve hitting your target. This is a refreshing difference of modern games which are very screen-based. The staff were amazingly friendly! They did a great job with working with us and many parents and kids coming in and out. There were a few ticket machine problems but the situations were rectified quickly. Also the staff gave tips and tricks for which games were most fun to play. Thanks so much to our 2 staffers tonight. I wasn't able to get their names but they were a man and woman with beanies on. You were great! Very awesome experience even with the limitations of winter time.

While East Lincoln Lanes may not look like the fanciest bowling alley. It has a LOT going for it. First off, they had the best rental bowling shoes I've ever seen. They were all knew, not skanky. And better yet, they were velcro, so they went on easy. So nice not to deal with those typical straggly bowling shoe laces. The other pleasant surprise, the food was reasonably priced. I mean it's not super gourmet or anything. But but a burger or grill steak was like $2.50, fried snacks were around $1.50 - much nicer than the typical over-priced fare at most bowling alleys. Considering the price, especially at the living social deal, the quality of shoes, and the decent priced food. I wasn't expecting to take advantage of anything but the living social deal. But after visiting, I think there is a good chance we'll go back again. And I'd definitely recommend the place. *** On the off chance that East Lincoln Lanes reads this review. The two tips I'd give is a) paint over the white with some brighter / deeper colors if you get a chance. b) relax on the little one, I know you guys were concerned about it being 5 bowlers not the living social 4 deal. But my 2 year old wasn't old enough to bowl. Just was excited about the huge "balls". That said, thank you for a wonderful time... =)

A few highlights from our visit: Affordable pricing for a fun night out. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit. Clean, well-maintained lanes. A great variety of bowling balls available. Relaxed atmosphere that wasn't overly crowded. New arcade system with plenty of games to enjoy. A bar and restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks. Attractive happy hour offerings that looked worth checking out on a future visit. After bowling, we spent some time in the arcade and played the Jurassic Park shooting game, which was a lot of fun and a nice addition to the experience. My only suggestion for improvement would be to organize the bowling balls by both weight and hand size, as it would make finding the right ball a little easier, especially for newer bowlers. Overall, Palmyra Bowling offers a fun, affordable, and welcoming experience. Between the bowling, arcade, food, and drinks, there's something for everyone. We'll definitely be back soon.

Palmyra Bowling…read moreAlley offers glow bowling in the evenings (we were told roughly 5-9 PM), which made for a lively, colorful atmosphere. I didn't love the music but it wasn't terrible. We booked two hours, which came out to around $80 total for our lane. There were six of us, which is the max per lane, and we managed to get in about three to three and a half games. It felt like a good amount of time without being rushed. There's a walk up bar inside for the Sinkhole Saloon, which was super convenient. I grabbed a mini pitcher for $14 plus tip. It was definitely busy and a bit crowded, especially with a birthday party on the lanes next to us. Because of that, there were a couple small hiccups... some of the bowling balls we had grabbed ended up getting mixed into another lane's rack, and people from the neighboring party were occasionally using balls we had already picked out. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of when it's packed. That said, the place appeared clean, staff interactions were fine, and overall we had a good time. I don't have a lot of recent bowling experiences to compare pricing, but for a couple hours of entertainment, drinks, and glow bowling, it felt reasonable. It's also one of the only bowling options nearby unless you head toward Reading, so it's nice to have this locally. We'd definitely go back again for a casual night out.
