Mao is the guy to call if you are looking for auto glass repair or replacement. Hands down the best price and high quality work. I got three quotes before his and he was easily the lowest cost. Took him a little under 30 minute to replace the windshield on my Mazda 3. This included prep, removal, install, and cleanup. It took another 10-15 min to repair/fill a chip in my Odyssey. All this was done onsite at my house. From our conversation he covers Antioch down to Fremont. This is another reason he is highly recommended, he is very friendly and willing to offer advice, even if it means recommending something that will not result in filling his pockets. (i.e. He recommended that I just go to the junk yard for my 1987 toyota tercel passenger window and even gave tips on how to install it) In summary this is the person to call if you need auto glass repair/replacement. His price is very good, he is very professional, and gives off good vibes. I'd even recommend him to my mom. read more

Clear Vision was subcontracted by Dana Meyer Auto Care to replace the wrong windshield that was installed by Moises (no last name) proprietor of King of Auto Glass, a "business" that does not exist at 4300 Sonoma Way, in Park Place Center, Vallejo. Beware, and please read my review on here. However, Clear Vision Auto Glass and Dana Meyer Auto Care, 5 stars. Nextdoor had only good reviews of their work, as did Yelp. I own a 2016 Lexus CT200h with an F sport package. I have owned several Toyotas in the past, a 2005 Sienna van presently. With luxury comes sophistication & absolute specifications due to electronic wiring in the windshield of a CT200h that depending on the year, have 4-5 different options in the windshield alone. Who knew? Not me, not Moises, but expert professionals do. The wrong one was installed, which resulted in the climate control system not properly functioning, as in no heat or AC.. In my first email to DM AC I stated that the windshield was replaced, when I drove it a couple of days later, I discovered the issue. The King was absolutely certain that the windshield replacement had nothing to do with this. I supplied DM AC with photos, they consulted with Mao, their glass consultant and specialist. Not only was it the incorrect windshield, but of the wiring underneath which was cut, so the sensors that enabled functionality were no longer connected. They positively confirmed, that the wrong windshield had been installed and explained clearly why this was the case and what would be required to repair the repair. Less than four hours after being dropped off my car had the right windshield & climate control system operating as it should. What I want to emphasize is the EXCELLENT customer service provided to me before I was a customer. This business team walks their talk, takes pride in the work they do to serve car owners in the community, and follows up to make sure everything is as it should be. Thumbs way UP! read more

Wow where do I begin?! Customer service or the level quality work on the installation? The technicians name is Mao and he was very friendly. He kept me and my boyfriend informed about the job while he was doing it, and did a great job installing the windshield. Most importantly NO AIR LEAKS when we drove the car! Texted for a quote late Saturday night. Surprisingly got a response that night. I needed the vehicle for a trip and Mao arrived early on Monday morning. Gave me an upgraded windshield and trim at no extra cost and was done within 30 mins. I really appreciate the expediency and workmanship and highly recommend. Thank you Mao read more

Excellent service! Called and was able to have my windshield replaced the very next morning. Mao was on time for our appointment and did an outstanding job! He even removed my rear view mirror, FastTrac, and oil change sticker, and transferred it to the new window! Would most definitely recommend! read more

Got a recommendation for this place from my friends at Karmakanix in Berkeley after an I-5 trip left my windshield split in two. They came out to my office in Berkeley, arrived early, did all the work on-site at my convenience, got the job done in about an hour, and charged competitive prices. They're based in Antioch but work all over the East Bay. read more

What a relief to find quick, reliable, friendly service. Two thumbs up for Mao.

My car (stolen twice, broken into 3 times) suffered yet another break-in. I called these guys up, there were here in under an hour. They fixed my window, cleaned up the glass and were out of my garage in about 15 minutes. Unreal how fast they are. Highly recommended! read more

Great service! My window got smashed in over the weekend in Southside Berkeley and I needed a repair ASAP. Auto Glass Express was the best option available on Yelp, but I called them and they wouldn't be available until Monday afternoon. (no offense to Auto Glass Express intended, I'm sure they would've done the job equally well) Clear Vision was also highly rated, so I decided to give them a call. They came over in about an hour and a half, replaced the window, vacuumed the carpet, the whole shebang. The guy who came over, Mao, was really friendly, very polite. He's been in the business for a long time and definitely knows what he's doing. The whole operation took about an hour. I'd definitely recommend them. One caveat is that some of them are cash only (?), so you may want to withdraw some money before they arrive. read more

Mao is a class act. Windshield price was reasonable and he was flexible on installation time and able to accommodate my schedule. He goes the extra mile. He replaced the windshield in my daughters car. I highly recommend Clear Vision. read more

The tiny rear window on my car was smashed in recently, so I turned to Yelp for a good recommendation. Called Clear Vision Auto Glass, explained the situation, got a quote and made an appointment within two minutes. On appointment day, the guy showed up at my house, replaced the glass, cleaned up the broken glass, and polished the new window. Service was done in about 5 minutes. Super fast, looks amazing and experience was easy peasy! read more

5 start reviews are right on. I chose CVAG for it's high Yelp rating and have to say they do excellent work. Mao showed up on time and had my windshield professionally replaced in 45 minutes at my house. I recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

So I borrowed my roommate's car to go to a show in the city on Friday night and after a fabulous performance my friends and I walk back to see that her 2000 Toyota Camry's passenger window has been shattered in an attempt to steal...a straw hat and the spare change on the floor of the car (fail). Called Mao Saturday morning around 930 and he had the window fixed by 1pm! Really nice guy and did a great job! So convenient having him come to the house too! read more

Scheduled 2 appointments and both times Mao's employee calls to say he was going to be late. The first time he calls its minutes after the scheduled time. The second time he calls its a half hour before the scheduled time, but his new ETA would have been an hour to an hour and a half after the scheduled time. How do you trust the work if they can't even be on time? If it isn't Mao himself coming out or your not bringing it in to them - GOOD LUCK - you're just wasting your time. read more

So I didn't have my glass repaired through them because of scheduling. However (This is more of a tip, not a review), these guys were extremely professional on the phone, addressed my concerns, and customer service was amazing. Not that I would ever want my window smashed again, but God forbid it happens, I'm definitely giving them a try! read more

Our car got broken into last night and i called clear vision auto glass and made an appt with Mao and was very happy that he could fix our rear window today. I really appreciate the fast service and the very reasonable pricing they have. We called another company and they were charging us double the amount. I highly recommend this company. read more

The most peaceful and thorough experience replacing auto glass. I asked others for estimates and the difference in cost between Mao and the next quote up is enough for me to pay for dinner and a movie with mi esposa. I thought paying less might mean not the best service, but Mao was poetry in motion and a pleasure to meet. He was on his way in a flash and my car was whole once more. Now I have to make a dinner reservation. read more

I had a rear/trunk window replaced on my Mao was excellent all around. He was very responsive and picked up each phone call, answered all my questions, accommodating regarding his promptness and time to meet and was reasonably priced. Good news and bad news. Bad news: since writing this review I've had to get the windshield on my 09 Scion xB and my 94 Integra replaced. Good news: both times I've used this service with, again, complete satisfaction. Another bonus: their prices, again, beat the competition and they were the most accommodating to my schedule. Win win win! read more

We had 4 windshields that needed to be replaced so we needed a good deal, but also wanted to be able to support a small business owner that could provide us with good, quality service. Well, we were lucky enough to find Clear Vision and Mao. When we initially contacted Mao, he gave us a really great quote for all 4 windshields and even offered to come to our home to replace them. He was super friendly and accommodating. We decided to have him replace all 4 at once. Today, he came out to fix them. He was so polite and such a hard worker with excellent customer service. From the first conversation with Clear Vision through the last windshield being installed, we received superior customer service. The windshields look amazing, I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a windshield company! Oh, and if this is relevant, the cars ranged in ages from 1995 - 2013. read more

I run a repair shop in the Berkeley area and Mao at Clear Vision has been doing all my auto glass for the last 10 years. He has always been extremely courteous, prompt, and reasonably priced. In many cases, he can even provide same-day service. He carefully vacuums out any broken glass and makes sure to leave the vehicles cleaner than they were when he started. I would highly recommend Mao and Clear Vision for anybody looking to have any auto glass repaired. read more

Mao saved the day. He worked us in right away and installed the glass as well as hoped. Not only did he do the install quickly and efficiently, he was very maticulous with the clean up. Vacuumed the glass and removed the residue from the tape on the paint. 1st Class! read more

Top notch work every time and great attitude to match. CLEAR VISION is the ONLY glass company that GERMAN AUTO SPORT refers! We have had a working relationship for over 8 years and NOT ONCE have we EVER had an issue. Not while the work is being done and EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY we have never had a comeback or complaint! read more

Mao replaced my windshield for $150 less than my insurance company's preferred provider, SafeLite, and he was able to come same day-- made the appointment at 8am and he was there at 1pm. SafeLite didn't have any openings until Thursday. Very professional and fast. The only minor thing is that I wish he would have mentioned that the new windshield had a top tint-- my old windshield didn't have one. But no big deal, the tint is actually helpful. read more

These guys are too good to be true! My windshield had a big horizontal crack discovered Friday evening - a rock must have struck it while it was parked in the street. Looked up several services on Yelp on Saturday morning and most were closed or didn't answer. Then called Clear Vision. They were at my house in an hour, replaced the windshield in about 30 minutes, and for a very reasonable price, with a lifetime warranty on workmanship. Very professional in all regards. Thank you ! Highly recommended! read more

Quoted me a price about 10% lower than Auto Glass Express for replacing the windshield. Mao came within the two-hour window we agreed to (a couple of days after I phoned) along with an apprentice. Clearly competent and thorough. Very careful with the car, to the point of moving the oilchange sticker in the corner of the old windshield to the same spot on the new one. Cleaned up after the work and polished the new glass to absolute cleanliness. Explained what he was doing as he did the work. One small thing: The paperwork was a bit funky--he had me sign an insurance release, though I paid out of pocket. read more

Got the number of this place through a mobile mechanic. Spoke to Mao on the phone. Got an appointment for the next day, showed up within the window, was done in about 30 minutes right in front of my house. Got like 4-5 quotes before and not only was this the lowest, but also gave me the fastest and easiest schedule to work with. Hopefully I don't need a windshield for a while, but if I do, I'll gladly call Mao. read more

friendly fast affordable. his service was a bright spot in the suckiness of having my car window smashed. would definitely call mao again!

Great service and cheaper than the dealer. Mao came early (with only 2 hours notice), finished up quickly, and even cleaned up the interior of the car. I'd go with clear vision again. read more

Great job on a holiday weekend. Came to our home and windshield was replaced very efficiently.

Mao and his partner are so prompt and helpful! The motor gear of my windshield wiper got worn out and they were able to find a part to replace it within 12 hours. Sunday night someone broke into my car and shattered the passenger window. Called about 4 places in Berkeley Monday morning, and this one was the cheapest! I got a car window fixed by these guys a couple weeks ago- I recommend them HIGHLY. The man who came out was helpful, professional, on time and incredibly cooperative. I was on my way to work and he got our transaction finished SO quickly I barely noticed. He also cleaned up the glass from my car and locked it up for me so when I got home it was good as new. Best price you"ll find, amazing service. read more

I had a really great experience with Mao and Clear Vision Auto Glass. I don't normally write Yelp reviews but I felt compelled to make sure Mao and his company get the recognition they deserve. We needed a car window replaced early afternoon on a Saturday (1PM-ish). I called a bunch of places but they all weren't available until Monday. When I called Clear Vision, they said they would be able to do it at that moment, though I had to bring the car to the warehouse in West Oakland. That was a little inconvenient for us, but we decided to go there anyway since they were the only ones who were available out of everyone I called. Once we got to the warehouse, we found that the glass they had in stock was not the one we wanted (they had the clear kind, but we needed a tinted one). I was not happy at this point, but they offered a solution which was to put the clear-type glass on that day, and they said they would come to my house on Monday to put the correct glass on. I was hesitant at first since I was unsure whether they would deliver on their promise. I took a chance and went for it nonetheless, and was really pleased when we got a call from Mao on Monday morning. They came on time (they were even 15 minutes early, I think) and replaced the glass with the correct kind within a few minutes. They seem to do everything they can to help out their customers, and at the end of the day, I was really pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them! read more

Mao was super careful and thorough with his service. He also charged $700 less than Safelite's quote. He was extremely friendly after our car had been robbed and we can't thank him enough. He took extra care after he found out we were from out of state and the quality of work is impeccable. He deserved the fee and the tip we gave him :) read more

Found a big crack in the windshield in the morning due to an old chip splitting out, spent a half hour on the internet researching, called these guys, and two hours later had a new windshield in. Quick, quality work at a good price. Only complaint is that their three attempts at getting a good clean on the windshield dint live up to my standards so I went back over it inside and out. Will call them again when this one cracks. read more
