I'm so sad my therapist moved to this location. The most egregious issue is the erroneous billing and lack of follow through in correcting it. I got a text message during Thanksgiving dinner saying I owed money. Why text on a holiday? The place isn't even open that day?? I put in a request through their website for the bill to be corrected explaining I paid the co-pay (you pay before you see the therapist) and that no one communicated any change in network or fees. (Ex: $35 copay but they said I owed over $100!) I also suggested to not text people getting therapy for money on a holiday. No one responded to me. Maybe their website inquiries aren't read. I wouldn't be shocked. So, I called and left a VM. I got a call back the next day just quickly saying to disregard the text and that it was a billing error between them and risk management. I thought this was okay. Mistakes can happen, 'tis the season! Be thankful it was resolved and no harm beyond a little stress. But no...!! Today, Christmas! First one with my son, just getting him to nap...and another text for the same balance?!?! What??? I sent the handy "stop" reply so they cant bother me again. But it's so insulting and aggravating. After saying it wasnt even a valid bill and to ignore it...I get the same message on the very next holiday?! Not any day in between?!?!? What perverted person automated their system to send these on holidays exclusively?? Besides their mismanaged billing, the building itself is so strangely used. The lobby has barely any seats now because they decided to curtain off most of it and let support groups meet there. Seems fine, right? Until you are waiting in the cramped lobby listening to the issues the group members are having as if you're part of it!! Family problems, marital problems, money problems... The staff has like ambience and a TV or radio going on so it's an annoying jumble of noises that only block out the receptionist and not the group. It's like the Wizard of Oz, ignore the people behind the curtain! The rooms seem to just be up for grabs because we never met in the same office. And some didnt have AC so you'd be sitting there with just a tiny fan blowing while trying to get therapy. I never blamed my therapist and for the first few visits at this place I thought it was temporary. I imagined it was a new group setting up shop and on the way to be streamlined and relaxing! But...it seems to just get progressively worse. To end on a happy note as it is christmas, the parking is convenient, it has nice streets to walk down, it's close to the freeway, and it's clean. read more

Awful place. I've been going there as a patient for a few years now and when I switched over to Kaiser, but wanted to keep the same Dr from Clearview they needed authorization. Makes sense. So I called Kaiser and asked them to send authorization over, and Clearview claims they never got anything. Did the same thing again, and Clearview still claims they never got anything. They made me go through all these loop holes due to their lack of organization....so finally after about a month in a half later, when I've completely ran out of my meds, they called me and said they got authorization. About a couple weeks later, I get this random $300 bill. Asking what it was for, they said that they weren't able to get authorization from Kaiser. Like really WTF..... makes absolutely no sense. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I also should of read these reviews before I decided to be a patient because the reviews don't look good at all. read more

I will forever give this facility the highest ratings. My daughter has been a client here for the last 5 years and we have NEVER had any of these issues that people are stating. We have never been misdiagnosed, treated poorly, felt unsupported in any way or form. We love this facility and the owner bless her heart is just fantastic. The office staff granted a lot of new faces have come into the main lobby but the olde4 staff that is still employed here we adore them and couldn't be more excited to see them here still every week. Having a medical facility like this is not for the weak. I cannot speak for all of the others but I can speak for myself and my child. Shortly after my daughter began services 5 years ago I began services for myself. I have theowt kind hearted and amazing therapist in my life. I couldn't do it with our the help of this therapist. Her therapist is AMZING and she connected with this special person the second she met the person. Instant connection. As a special needs mom this meant we were in it for the long haul. Here we are 5 years later going strong. Please put faith in the clinic and not everyone has bad experiences. Trust your gut instincts. Speak your mind and ask for the owner. Did not work for me. Felt like I was not heard at all and kept getting interrupted. People in the office didn't answer my call so I could cancel. The whole experience was insulting overall and they did not seem to care. It was like they were all business and basically had everything figured out within a couple minutes even though I wasn't done talking. I eventually stayed quiet and let them go on and on about how they already knew what was wrong with me. read more

I'm giving 2 stars because the 4 therapists I've seen here over the past 8 years have been really great, but I just can't set foot back in their lobby due to the mistreatment I experienced by their front desk staff person last week on 12/9. It was such a punishing experience that even though my therapist tried to provide options, just thinking about returning makes my heart pound and my emotions run. Their front desk girl behaved so horribly to me AFTER I had informed her I was having a very bad day. I was not rude or aggressive towards her yet she was so unreasonably punitive and downright awful to me, that when I responded simply by repeating her exact words, in her exact tone, so she could hear just how awful she was speaking to me, she then gaslights me, and says in the most smug, snotty, and condescending tone, "Well, I don't know why you're getting upset." !!!!! At best, I would expect a mental healthcare office to employ staff who can behave with empathy and compassion, and at a minimum with respect and professionalism. What I would never anticipate is to be treated in a psychologically harmful and manipulative manner. This person appeared to enjoy trying to get me to escalate, once she knew I was in a bad place, so that I would fall apart. I pretty much had to flee so I wouldn't do something highly regrettable. This is so completely wrong that I just can't set foot back in the lobby, no matter how wonderful my therapist has been in the 6 months I've been seeing her. It really sucks to have to disrupt my mental healthcare and start over, mid holiday season, when I'm having a really hard time. There really is no other choice though. read more

I was first transferred to one of their doctors (I had phone sessions that lasted 2 minutes - the entire conversation was how are you doing? Has anything changed? I will contact you next month.) every 6 mos I would see her in person for 20 min. She would set up an appointment and never call, or call an entirely different day at an entirely different time. Probably the most unreliable doctor I've ever seen. That doctor decided to leave out of nowhere and I was handed off to a physicians assistant who had the personality of a cactus. Prickly and always rushed. Those zoom visits lasted about 10-15 minutes at the most. It was the bare minimum. I was charged my entire co-pay and my insurance was charged for an entire session for every single one of these phone appointments. Several times they tried to bill me for a huge amount that was incorrect. I left this practice last September and they just charged my credit card $150 for my co-pay for 5 sessions from 9 months ago! I did not receive a bill or any notification that this was coming, simply a charge on my card that they kept on file. When I questioned them about it I got a runaround about Insurance and payments blah blah. You don't wait for insurance to pay the bill before you charge someone for their co-pay! And when you've messed up and haven't charged someone for nine months you at least let them know that they owe something before you charge their credit card! The entire operation is second rate. The doctors or PAs are there simply to get their money and shove you out the door. If you only want a prescription then you might be ok, but if you actually want a medical practitioner that cares you won't find that here. And their office billing is a disaster and they almost never answer the phone. I would say just about anywhere else would be better. I now have someone new who is wonderful and I'm not sure why I stayed with these people for so long. Do yourself a favor and don't go here! read more

After all the damn paperwork you have to fill out, they managed to cancel our first appointment with Alana Hendrix without even telling us! This is truly the worst mental health facility I've ever come across. The receptionists NEVER and I mean N E V E R answer the phone es. I cannot count how many times I've been sent to voicemail, even calling right when business opens. I was never told of the co payment for this place. Months later they are asking me for it. I have had a horrible time trying to get through to actually talk to staff. I leave messages, they never answer them. One time! One time out of several I get a call back. I call and can never get through to actually speak with someone. My son was referred to Clearview after his first manic bipolar diagnosis. This was the closest office that except my insurance to where we lived. Within the first 10 minutes I was told he's not bipolar that they usually get misdiagnosed so she was skeptical. Come to find out months later the so-called psychiatrist is not even a doctor she's a nurse practitioner. My son relapsed got off his medication and had to start the cycle all over again with residential treatment. I believe not having a good doctor is what caused so much more pain and heartache for our family to start all over again with his mental health issues. If your child has severe mental illness issues do not take him to this facility. read more

I was recommended to Clearview Behavioral Health Santa Barbara office by my physician as he was retiring and I needed a provider that I could trust. I should mention that the providers they contract with are wonderful. This negative review is not about the providers. The negative review is for the administrative staff and management at Clearview Health. To begin with office does not answer the phone and does not return my phone calls. Secondly the office staff is rude and unprofessional. I have also been overcharged for services that I was not notified I was responsible for. They also switched my provider without cause and then billed me for a new eval without cause (or communicating this to me) and was 100% unecessary, medically or otherwise. Now I am concerned they will not fill my if I do not pay the bill they overcharged me for in the first place. Scary stuff. Stay far away. read more

My son, was referred to Clear View Behavioral services by Kaiser. 7 minutes before my son's scheduled appointment, they called to tell me that they do not see children as young as my son. Mind you, this phone call came 3 minutes after the doctor told me he would see me and my son at his appointment. What is more disappointing is the attitude and behavior of the staff. Connie, may be the rudest person I have met in a long time and should most definitely not be working in any facility that deals with mental health services. Giving two stars because there are definitely worse offices out there for mental health, but not many. Im happy enough with the medication I've been prescribed. The people at the front are usually pleasant. I do, however, have a very hard time getting anyone on the phone. In fact, I'm much more surprised if anyone ever does answer or call me back. One of the psychiatrists there, Dr. Taylor, is a very kind man but he clearly has way too much going on and either needs more help or less patients. I once had an appointment that I waited MONTHS for. Arranged for my husband to take off work for it to watch the kids and everything. Got there and sat and waited... and waited.... finally I asked if they knew about how much longer it would be and they went to go talk to Dr. Taylor and he told them to have me reschedule. After already clearing my whole day and waiting months. I wasn't very happy, especially since the waitlist was so long, but they managed to squeeze me in a month later. That was early October 2022. I completed my testing then and it is now almost February, 4 months later, and I still do not have results and have been told not to expect them anytime soon and that it could be as much as 5+ months because Dr. Taylor is so behind. I asked in a Facebook group for other neurodivergents if anyone else has gone through this testing and how long results took (just to see if this was normal) and everyone else said they got their results back within a week or two and they were astounded at how long it is taking for me. I could understand being behind even a month or so, but over 4-5 months just feels excessive. Overall, the staff and faculty are nice enough, they just need to step it up a bit in the way they manage their office. read more

1 star cause I don't feel like I'm not important to my Psychiatrist are calls are about 4mins to 6mins max only thing is asked is that you need a refill on your medication and that's about it. I don't feel any better from the day I started talking with my psychiatrist all I do is take the meds I'm was put on. I try to reach out to her and never get a response back I called the office they say that they will get my stuff handled and call me back that never happens now I'm out of the meds I was prescribed and there's nothing I can do till she response back and appoves it been 2 weeks and nothing backonly good thong that had come from clear view is my Therapist jhon he's a great person he does his best to keep me pushing forward he talks to me like I matter and that he actually cares for me thats the only upside to this all is him. I wish that clear view actually care about there clients instead of seeing me as a way to make money on prescribed meds sad thing is that I would have never been on this medication if she didn't prescribed it and now I'm stuck not being able to get it. Clear view I wish you guys cared enough to take care of your client's and the sad thing is that I only speak with my psychiatrist every 3 months. How long after all of this now my Therapist won't respond to me neither will my psychiatrist Jane cox I'm out of my depression meds that they put me on and I can get it from anyone else not even er or the urgent care so now I'm stuck with going threw withdrawal from these meds they put me on no with no help no assistance w I'm stuck in the dark by myself this is how people die how people do bad stuff to themselves because even the doctors will leave them to fend for themselves after they perscibed stuff that I should have never been on thank you Clearview for this I've been trying to contact you guys for damn near a month and nothing back emails calls text everything. After nearly 40 years of marriage, my wife took the initiative to get us involved with Elizabeth at Clearview. I cannot express the overwhelming degree of care and understanding from her. I have heard some very ugly stories from friends of mine who have been through couples therapy. I don't believe in coincidence. I'm quite sure that Elizabeth was intentionally brought into our lives. At first I was reluctant and did not look forward to our meetings, but after every session, I was extremely pleased. Elizabeth feels like someone we have known for a very long time. My review is not about the services received but about the billing practices of this business. Last year I was billed twice for the same date of service. This went on for 6 consecutive weeks. They credited my account after I complained to the administrator. Again, I recently got an unauthorized charge to my credit card from this business and was unable to get a call back despite leaving 7 voice-mail messages to clarify. After two in person visits to the business and insisting to speak to the administrator was I informed that the charges were co-pays for two sessions conducted six months prior that had not billed. Six month old charged to my credit card without prior notification is an unexpected and unpleasant surprise. Further, the inability to get a call back from anyone was further upsetting. I asked they reverse the charges and remove my CC information from the system. They declined to reverse the charges. I had no issue with the services received but I would caution anyone about the customer service. read more
