Wow. Clear Light just finished cleaning my 47 windows and they did a great job! They were on time, efficient and did a great job. The two window washers were professional and gracious. They even waited to present the bill at the end because they could see that I was on an important business call. Wow. My only complaint is that when I spoke to Nancy to get a quote, she didn't tell me that they charge a $35 surcharge to drive to my house. It was only when I called back to book the service that I was told. It didn't feel good, after the initial quote. I would have preferred being told the quote as well as the travel surcharge at the onset. read more

Clear light washed our windows and broke 6-7 screens in the process. I reached out to James to let him know about the damage and that his crew never mentioned they might damage our screens. He told me that it wasn't possible his crew damaged our screens and said they were probably old (most were replaced in 2018). He then proceeded to hang up on me! I wish I had checked the screens before paying and wish I had noticed in bold print on the invoice (which I received after they finished) "not responsible for damage of old screens". Very disappointed. Rag-markers left in the corners of most windows, tracks not cleaned out, water left standing on windowsills. They were much too quick and careless. When we asked them to redo a large picture window, they said the seal had failed, it had not - new windows, then they tried to get them clear and clean and finally gave up. We loved the company years ago, but apparently their quality is different now with new owners. read more

owner is angry and doesn't hold back with customers. guys who work for him are nice and the woman who books appointments, Nancy, is awesome but unfortunately you have to deal with the owner -James. I had a bad interaction with him last year because the windows at my house were "difficult" but I let it go at the time figuring he was having a really bad day. First off Jim is just awesome & so unbelievably qualified. He is absolutely the BEST personality & the best window cleaner I have ever had & he accomplished something that absolutely NO-ONE has been able to do much less try. He cleaned very difficult DIRTY glass balls on a hanging chandelier on a landing heading downstairs....IMPOSSIBLE risky area...balancing on a ladder & stair railing. I was referred to Clear Light from a good friend as we prepared to sell our home. Two people washed the windows and after they left, I found that one of them had dragged a heavy planted pot across my pristine wood floor, permanently damaging it. I called the company to file a complaint and after several days I finally got a call back from the owner. He said he asked the two workers about the floor and they didn't move it. I said they most certainly did move it because it was in a different place and it was obvious where it had been dragged. He said his people don't lie, which clearly meant he was telling me I was a liar. What ever happened to the customer is always right? I also later discovered they ruined a screen and, of course, didn't mention anything to me about that. Please don't work with this company - they do not support their customers. read more

Well, maybe I got them on a bad day. That they didn't take off all the screens to clean as promised was the most obvious tell leaving them obviously dusty, and secondly they simply wiped down the windows but did not squeegee most of them leaving streaks and grime. I wasn't watching them closely as they seem to have a good rep but, frankly, I'm very disappointed. Perhaps this was a one off but this was not well done in the slightest and I'm very disappointed that I'll have to pay for it to be done again sooner rather than later. I hope they up their game because I can't recommend them at this point. I couldn't even swear they actually cleaned them all as I would have heard activity sitting in one of the upstairs rooms. **Update. Despite James's response, unfortunately he is incorrect. I am not mistaken, unless someone is using his invoices, which I'm sure is not the case unless they also had his van. He did, indeed, do my house, regrettably not very well. Like I said - perhaps an off day for the crew. My review is honest, I'm not being picky or perfectionist, and that's what happened this time.
