When I went to see my optometrist recently, I let him I've been wearing my old rx since it wasn't much change since the current glasses was giving me issues. He said the quality of lenses was probably my issue. Vision works used poor quality lenses. I'll pass. Never again.

The doctor told me I had dry eyes and the beginning of cataracts. My previous eye doctor had never mentioned this to me. He prescribed Meiobe which can have a ton of side effects. I only took it a couple of times & it made my eyes blurry. He also told me I had an ingrown eyelash, which I couldn't see or feel. He said even though it didn't bother me it bothered him so he supposedly removed it & he charged it to insurance. He wrote a new prescription for eye classes. I picked out of frames. I was told they were on backorder. I called several times & they weren't available. After a couple of months, I picked out some frames at another place and had my prescription filled. The prescription was way off. I went back to the Rosemore eye care and was told that I would have to get a new eye exam and pay for it because I got the glasses somewhere else. They actually told me that the other place might've put the lens in backwards I went to Plano eye associates in Plano and got a new exam. I do not have dry eyes or cataracts. The rosemore eye prescription had gone from a two to a three for my prescription and the new exam showed I needed a 2.5. I got the new prescription put in my new frames and they are wonderful. Rosemore only cares about money. They don't care about you.

Made an appt for a yearly exam, hoping it would include thorough macular degeneration exam. When signing in, I was asked if I had completed the forms sent to me earlier. Despite getting two appt reminder emails, and at least that many reminder texts, none of those included a link or anything about completion of forms, so I was given forms to read and sign at the office. After sitting down, an asst came over to "clarify" that there would be a $45 charge today, not covered by my insurance. What for, I asked, since I was not charged anything at all last year? For "the prescription" I was told. I said, what "prescription"? I had cataract lens replacement years ago and have only OTC readers now. She just said, it's for you to get a prescription. I wasnt aware I *needed* a prescription, but thought maybe this was some kind of term involved with checking the macula, so I said OK. Exam complete, no need for a glasses prescription per Dr., back of the eye looked at via photos, no apparently degeneration happening. Dr. said I needed to come back to have a more indepth retina exam to be sure". As I checked out, I once again asked about the extra $45 charge. A different asst said, "It's for your glasses prescription" I said, none was given to me, since I don't NEED one. Oh, she said, you should have scheduled your appt for a "Full Eye Exam", then insurance would have paid for it all. What? How was *I* to know the exact verbiate to use when I called? And why wasnt this clarified on th phone while making the appt? She said she was sorry, and would make a note for next year to the effect that I don't need a "prescription". I said the communication on this issue was very poor and surely she could understand why this was irksome. She merely smiled as I handed over my credit card. In any case, no, I will not be making another appt here for macular or regular eye exams. I am fortunate to be able to pay the $45 but wanted to let people know that they should be v-e-r-y careful with their verbiage when they make an appt here. Within minutes, I was escorted to the back by a young lady who asked me questions about my medical history and took some eye readings and turned out we had the exact same pair of eye glasses which progressed into a long discussion about our favorite imported frame vendor! I didn't get her name but she was very personable. Then came my eye exam with Dr. Peterson who listened to my concerns and was able to hook me up with a prescription for new reading glasses. There were some pretty cool high tech features that came into play while he was doing my eye exam. He was also pretty funny and has a great music selection playing in the waiting room (this is one of those things I take notice of anytime I'm in a business and makes an impression on me). Last, was my interaction with Ray who helped me pick out a new pair of glasses. He was very helpful in recommending frames to try on while still letting me do my own thing and he was also very patient while I struggled to make a decision. One thing I love about this practice is their vast selection of designer frames. I've been to other practices where I struggle just to find "a" pair that is decent. I have the opposite problem here (can't decide on which one I like most!). This is my 3rd pair of glasses I've purchased from this location. I was told that it was maybe because I was used to "cheap" eyeglasses (I used to have them done in Walmart, or Sam's or Costco). Second year I went there, I was sure my measure had changed because I was kind of uncomfortable with the old eyeglasses. The doctor told me that the measure had not changed but pointed out that my 62 year old eyes were not the same as younger eyes. Really? Do we need a reminder we are getting old? I decided not to be so sensitive and gave them another opportunity this year, because I believe in second chances. BIG MISTAKE! After waiting for a week or more, I was told my eyeglasses had been sent to another location in a different state. Then, when I finally got them, once again, I could not read with them. They took it back to make an adjustment. Mind you, this time I was wearing THEIR glasses, not the "cheap" ones, as before, so it was not a matter of adjusting to a better quality. A week or more after I received the new eyeglasses. The left lens was incorrectly cut and kept falling off the frame. Took the eyeglasses back for yet another fixing. 3 weeks in a row I was told that the eyeglasses were going to be ready "next week", and Brian kept apologizing profusely for all the issues. After the 3rd time the eyeglasses were not ready when I was told they were going to be ready, Brian told me they were giving me the money back (I did not ask for it, he offered it), which they did. Today I went there decided to just get my prescription and have the eyeglasses done somewhere else. Something I didn't do before, because I did not want to wait again for the glasses to be ready somewhere else. This time the glasses were finally there. Out came Brian with the eyeglasses, and put them on the table while telling me that they did not have any warranty anymore because they had refunded me with the cost. Again, I did not ask for it! So, at this point, I hope this time the glasses are fine, because I will have to start all over again somewhere else if they are not, due to the refund and lack of warranty. Needless to say, I WILL NOT GO BACK THERE. I have never given a review before, but this time I really felt the need to do it, not as a revenge, but an opportunity for them to improve their service, and an advise to any other want-to-be customer, so that they don't have to go through what I did.

Where they fall short is delivery of glasses. Initially I was told it would take 2 weeks for my glasses to come in. That is not usual for most places. But two weeks went by, then three. I called to follow up and they said they should be delivered that week. Week four went by then week six... no call. So I stopped in and lo and behold, my glasses had been sitting there. They insisted they had sent me a text. They had not sent me a text, I verified my contact information and all was correct. They never called, they never texted. So I'm dropping a couple stars for not being forthcoming about not calling me. I would have gladly accepted an apology but nah they stuck by their story. Maybe I'll have better luck at a different location.
