Every piece of equipment that is used is sanitized immediately. When you ring your bedside call button the nurse comes in a timely manner and meds are delivered on time. We were told by doctor's hospital that my mother was not a candidate to qualify to go there while in fact she was. We questioned the system and called Encompass directly. Encompass had a representative in my mother's room at doctors within two hours pre-registering her. If you have the option to go to this facility, don't let them send you anywhere else!

Fast forward 12/30/25 my husband was moved there by Memorial Hospital after he was there for 2 weeks with GBS. We were there for 17 days. They worked with him & today he was able to come home. 2nd time he's had GBS in 34 years. Staff was incredible-especially Dr J & NP "Jay" OT & PT awesome 5 Star plus in every way. I have been here twice and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The Therapy Department is excellent and they met my needs according to doctor's orders and I was able to leave walking on my own with my walker. My dog was allowed to come and visit me and that made me happy and I think it helped me to heal faster. They offer a variety of activities and programs that keeps the residents engaged and active and it's fun and you get a chance to meet new people that can become friends if you give them a chance!! The food is good and they met my likes and dislikes and if they didn't they made it right.

I go…read morethere a lot to see a family member and often feel sorry for the staff, who are yelled at, called names, treated like slaves, and overworked. I would not want their job for a million dollars! Old age is terrible and often comes with much pain and suffering. Many times I've witnessed a patient threatening them in one way or another, and that can't be good for their moral. One such patient suffered from what I believe was dementia, and often bit the nurses caring for her. I understand the poor soul had very bad back problems, and that's why she was lashing out. But often the staff have no help at the moment, and must get the patient from one place to the other, as quickly and painlessly, as possible. I send a prayer for the staff and patients to our Lord Jesus for happiness in their jobs, and a speedy recovery for their patients. I put 4 star not 5 because there's always room for improvement.

I also visit my aunt about 4 days a week and have come to know the staff. From the front reception desk to the nurses to the administrator, we have witnessed nothing but kindness and compassion. During my visits it is not uncommon to have several nurses swing by my aunts room just to say hello and check in on her. My aunt has Down Syndrome, and has more bad days than good and the staff is patient and kind and always treats her like her feelings and thoughts matter. Furthermore, nobody here was placed in restraints without them trying to hurt themselves, other patients, or staff members. The whole "they tied me down for no reason" rhetoric is garbage. You were restrained for safety purposes. I agree that SOME of the staff might not be as friendly as they could be, but dealing with drug addicts and people trying to hurt them all day has a tendency to make people standoffish. Patients come here because they need psychiatric help, not because they want a five star vacation. During my stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. I was never abused or neglected. I got the help I needed and I am alive and well today as a direct result. If you are thinking about hurting yourself or you are dealing with a psychiatric emergency, these people have the tools to get you through the tough time. Don't hesitate to turn to them for the help you need.
