Also, in researching potential companies I determined that APM's cost for their service was very reasonable. I dealt directly with the owner Brett Keller who was extremely accommodating with regard to setting up an appointment date for the test that would work for me. At the scheduled time and day (Friday) Brett met me at the property driving his work truck. It was in pristine condition and when Brett retrieved his equipment from the enclosed truck bed, I noticed that everything was clean, well-organized, and properly secured. Brett then sampled the suspect material and explained to me that the sample would be submitted to an independent lab for analysis, which was standard procedure done to ensure the integrity of the results. He said that because the lab wasn't operational over the weekend, I would not get the results of the analysis until approximately 4:00 p.m. the following Monday. Brett then unhurriedly detailed to me what the abatement process would entail should asbestos be present and I elected to have APM handle the work. The following Monday at approximately 1:00 p.m. I received from Brett an email containing a complete chain of custody document tracking the acquisition of the sample and its submission to the lab as well as the results of the analysis.
