I reached out to them explaining the situation and asking for a quote. An empty townhome that needs a deep clean. They responded with a quote and their job descriptions. After reviewing the documents, I have agreed to schedule for the job. I asked them if they needed to come out to the home to preview the work but Jaime (the owner) confirmed that it wasn't necessary. 2 days before the scheduled date, the owner called and asked if they can come out at 7 am instead of noon. I agreed to accommodate to his request. On the cleaning day I showed at the home at 7 am. The cleaners did now show up until 7:18 am. In the email it states "you get a team of three trained cleaners and we provide all green, non-toxic cleaning supplies and equipment." When the cleaners arrived late, two ladies show up to the house. That should have the first red flag. As soon as they entered the door, one of the cleaners took 3 steps into the home and said " this is a move-out, we have to charge extra". This home is a 975 sq 2 bed 1.5 bath townhome that is completely vacant. In the email it clear states " Move-in/out". I immediately called the owner several times and sent him a message but did not receive any response. Realizing this is a bait n switch, I asked the cleaners to leave the home and that I will not agree to their demands. Right away one of the cleaner started raising her voice and mentioned discrimination. I am a 34 year old asian male who is an immigrant myself. I have seen these tactics way too many times... The owner called 20 minutes after and tried to explain that quotes are not final. That is totally understandable as I am sure not all homes are in the same condition. This is a vacant home that just went through a sale. 3 months prior the home owner had the home cleaned before listing it on the market. I will understand if the home was a complete mess. An empty home that had foot traffic during the sale. I do not know the reason behind the cleaner's decision but I wish not to associate with this company and others should be vary wary as well. The cleaners behavior shows she's done this before and her behavior will get someone sued. Businesses like this should not be allowed to operate. Owner does not take any ownership and will lie to get an appointment. Have never met such a dishonest people.
