Cleandom is a wonderful company. I have an amazing sister and brother-in-law who gave me the ultimate gift for my birthday last year - a year of twice monthly apartment-cleaning! After searching Yelp and other resources, I found Lukas and Cleandom -- a company that prizes customer service, protecting the environment, and respecting my pets! This last item was of a paramount importance, as I have three cats and cannot allow either the cleaning team's presence nor the products they use to jeopardize their health or well-being. Since their first visit a year ago, I have been extremely satisfied with Cleandom. They do a thorough, deep, and careful job each time. They use only the most natural and environmentally-friendly products, and heed all my requests regarding my feline companions when they work. While the Cleandom team is wonderful, this review is really about Lukas, as he has been my constant contact since I first started using Cleandom (he is the owner/founder of the company). Lukas is extremely responsive and professional and truly cares about his work. Lukas checks in with me regularly regarding my satisfaction, and if I ever have special requests or even critiques/complaints, he addresses them swiftly and efficiently. He is a great communicator, and respects his clients. He even left a bottle of special hand-soap on my doorstep over the holidays! Left 3 messages over the course of 2 months. No one has bothered to return one call. Might be out if business. If not-customer service is poor! 7/8/13 UPDATE: I MIS-SPOKE REGARDING THE METHOD OF CONTACT I emailed through their website. Lukas emailed today: they don't have a phone (interesting how your have a business with no phone?) he asked how I attempted to contacted them if they had no phone. At the time I thought "why would a business only have email and not list a phone on YELP OR on their website." After living the life of a bachelor for a few months, I was getting ready for my wife to return home. In honor of her return, I thought I'd spring for a great deep cleaning. After some searching online, I found Cleandom and gave them a shot. I was extremely satisfied. Lukas came over for a site visit and estimated the cost/time of the cleaning. We scheduled the cleaning for a few days later, and when the cleaners arrived, they were early! A pleasant surprise - when does THAT ever happen? They cleaned for a good five hours before they were done. Floors, baseboards, dusting, cooking surfaces, desks. Terrific work! This review is way past overdue. I've been using Cleandom for about four months now (I found them right here on Yelp) and I have nothing but praise for their professional work ethics and exceptional services. Cleandom uses non-toxic cleaners that are not just good for the environment, but also better for your health. No more coming home to the stench of bleach on cleaning days (it was what my previous housekeeper used and I hated it). This is especially important if you have children or pets in your home. The Cleandom team is extremely professional and responsible. You get an email confirmation before every cleaning, they are polite, friendly and never late, and they always ask if you'd like anything special done and will do their best to accommodate your requests. I like that they take the initiative and will give special attention to cleaning parts of the home as needed, like giving the windows thorough cleaning. Lukas and his team will go beyond your expectations and they've made me feel like they truly do care about my home. I've been having some mildew issues in my bathroom - we have awful ventilation in the bathroom and the mildew grows like crazy in the stone-tiled shower - and they have taken special care to help us remove it (over a few weeks) by using a steam cleaner. They even gave us a full-sized bottle of daily shower cleaning spray (by Method) to try out. I have been looking for a local cleaning service for some time now. I've contacted a few and either didn't get a reply or they couldn't accommodate my schedule (which isn't complicated at all). I found the Cleandom website through Yelp and after looking over Luke's website decided to take a chance and contacted him. He responded promptly and I was glad to know that it wasn't a computer generated response but a real person. He was very nice and scheduled a walk through to asses our home. Scheduling the initial meeting and going through the house was a breeze. Luke was very professional and always arrived on time. I wasn't home during the Initial Deep Cleaning but when I got home I could instantly smell the fresh clean aroma as soon as I walked in the door. There was a card and some goodies he had left for us on the kitchen counter which was unexpected and very nice of him to do. After going through the house I was so happy to see how clean everything was! There were stubborn stains in the toilet bowl, kitchen sink and bath tub (left by the previous owners) that I have been struggling with for years. Nothing seemed to work on getting them out. Luke and his team were able to get ALL of the stains out and with non-toxic materials!! It gave me piece of mind since we have a small dog who likes to eat everything in sight. This is an update to my original review of Cleandom. I've been using the service for more than a year now--which should say something in itself. After one year, I'm convinced that they are truly exceptional, and would recommend them to anyone. Lucas and company are EXTREMELY responsible, and modern in their approach to business. Before each service, I get an email confirmation that they will be here on the appointed date; afterwards, they send another email if they did something different, or noticed that something needs maintenance. All I have to say is that Cleandom is truly heaven scent(ed)! I found them on yelp and decided to give them a try for our newly remodeled four-plex. The team has exceeded my expectations and Lukas truly cares about my satisfaction-plus makes every effort to make sure I stay satisfied. The team is prompt, thorough, and respectful! No wonder there is a waiting list now...glad I found them when I did:) I have decided to change my review from 5 to 1 star for this reason: We were loyal Cleandom customers since 2011 until out of the blue we received a text (not a phone call) from the owner saying he was dropping us as clients without any good reason. He finally sent me a proper email about a week later trying to explain what happened but honestly, it was the most unprofessional way to handle the situation considering we gave them good business (4 units in the same building). Prior to this, I was becoming disappointed with their service anyways. They seemed to be cutting corners and taking longer but actually cleaning less. I would regularly find areas that were not cleaned properly or my things were rearranged badly. I now have a cleaning lady who cleans better, faster, and for a much better price. read more

I'd gotten tired of spending my weekends cleaning. Never thought I would find some one to clean my house given that I have two rather large dogs who are all bark. I found Cleandom on Yelp, the reviews all raved and their website said they are dog friendly and the bonus is they use green products. Lukas gave came over and told how much it would be for the spring cleaning. Once that was done we were so pleased that we have set up a bi-weekly cleaning. They now come during the week while we are at work and the dogs and their team are getting along. YAY! I was looking for a cleaning service for my one bedroom, one bath apartment and was comforted by all the positive reviews I saw for Lukas's company Cleandom so I gave him a try. Lots of useful information on his website and he was extremely prompt getting back to me after I first made contact. Within a few days, he did the walk through and then the next day did the cleaning. I should have taken before and after pictures because I was AMAZED when I came back home. BEAUTIFUL work. Even my disgusting microwave was white as could be again! Best part: my house didn't have any awful chemical smells at all. Lukas is extremely professional and didn't make me feel bad at all about how gross my apartment had become! I started using Cleandom Cleaning Service several months ago for every-other-week cleaning of my 3 bd/2 ba home. I'm thrilled with the result - very clean home that smells fresh but doesn't smell like toxic chemicals. Cleandom specializes in using all natural cleaning products in your home. Lukas, the owner, and his assistant show up on time every time, are very efficient, and do excellent work. Cleandom is a locally owned business (which I prefer to support versus national chains), however Lukas worked for a national chain for a year to get his training so his cleaning method is thorough. A smattering of reasons why I think Cleandom is great: They show up promptly on time and on schedule every time. I never have to call and remind them. In fact, Luke sends a confirmation email the night before. Every time, for almost a year. They do a great job cleaning, plus put things back where they belong, instead of leaving a big jumbled mess. They even arrange my daughter's toys neatly, and put my husband's shoes back in the shoe rack, which is GREAT. Today we came home and my daughter's baby dolls were all sitting up on the sofa in a row, which she thought was fabulous. Luke always has a good suggestion for cleaning something I've never thought about . . .like the sliding door track, for example. Luke responds promptly to email, so if you have a question or a schedule change, it's easy to communicate with him. Sometimes they leave a flower or a card - a nice touch, and nice to see after a long day at work. And of course, there is no bleach smell when I get home! I can't tell any difference in the quality of the cleaning, except that there's no chemical smell. The eco-friendly products work just as well as the "regular" ones. It's noticeable that Luke and team take a lot of pride in their work. I plan to keep using Cleandom indefinitely, and if I can figure out how to budget having them come every week (instead of every two weeks), I'm going to do it. Totally worth it! read more

Our home wasn't especially dirty but needed a good overall cleaning prior to putting it on the market. Lukas's team did an excellent job cleaning all of the base boards, blinds, and other time-consuming tasks we weren't able to do on our own. They left our bathroom and kitchen sparkling clean, and the living room and bedroom freshly vacuumed and dusted. I'm so happy tthat I found a company that believes in thorough cleaning using environmentally-friendly products; many of the products were the same ones we use regularly. Lukas's team cleaned my apartment yesterday and did a fantastic job. They spent 3 hours on my living room, kitchen, and bathroom, and were able to remove some really stubborn stains on my sink, oven, and bathtub, leaving them shiny. His crew was about 10 minutes early, and they stayed about 15 minutes later than they were scheduled to. My floors were filthy, and they did a great job with the hardwood and tile. I also liked that my apartment didn't smell like bleach or other chemicals because they use all non-toxic, mostly natural cleaning products (which is important to me as an owner of a cat who likes to lick surfaces). The services are a bit pricy (my mom balked at the $180 fee for 3 hours, saying that her service only charges $90 for their 3-bedroom house), but I think the non-toxic cleansers used and the attention to detail justifies the price. I also appreciated that Lukas communicated promptly via email, and gave me a lot of important information upfront. He also does a quick walk-through before the service is scheduled, which is nice as you get to meet the owner of the company. I can't afford to use the service regularly, but I'm sure I'll call on them again in 6 months or so. I just had my house cleaned right now and for amount of time and the money that was spent on it; I had expected a better and more professional "deep" cleaning service. Maybe I"m just more picky than other people. I think that of the two ladies that came by to clean my house, one did a better job than the other. My house is cleaner; however, not great over-the-top spotless clean that all of the other reviewers are raving about. To sum it up, the cleaning people were nice but for the money spent, i would expect more. I'm rather disappointed as I based my choice to pick this cleaning service over the rest based on all the great reviews on here. My husband and I started using Cleandom several months ago to clean our 3 bedroom/2 bath house. From the welcome gift we received when we started service, to the accommodation of our schedule in making our appointments every two weeks, to his polite on time arrival every time, the service couldn't be better. Luke and the same two other people are here every time. Luke always asks if we need anything special done, and is more than happy to help. He and his crew are very pet friendly as well, putting up with our two small dogs and their big voices and greetings. Luke developed a custom checklist of items to be completed as part of our service, and checks to see that everything has been completed when his crew is finished.
