For the year I lived in Sunnyvale, Clean Space Cleaning performed biweekly cleaning services for my 1200 sq ft, 2 bd + den / 2 ba apartment. My main points of contact were April and Steve, who handled questions, pricing, scheduling, feedback, and invoices. Both were professional and responsive. The cleaning services were performed by a team of 2-4 people, and while the leader of the team was always the same, the other people could change. The great thing about having a team was that they would finish more quickly compared to just a single person - in my case, they always finished within an hour, which I greatly appreciated since I worked from home and wanted to minimize the interruption to my work day. The team was also responsive to feedback and remembered the specific instructions I had. I highly recommend Clean Space, and if I hadn't moved out of their service area, I would still be using them today! read more

In response to owner comment: Just to clarify, the fine print in your policy very clearly states, "There is a yearly rate increase in September/October of 7%." When I asked you about this, you even confirmed it was a guaranteed increase of 7% yearly versus a "maximum" increase as your comment now says. --- I actually signed up, and made an appointment after Ashley (the owner) called me back rather than speaking with the Call Center. After reading through their policies, I noticed that they charge a 7% rate increase automatically every year. In this economy, that's just not reasonable. I honestly don't know anyone that gets guaranteed raises each year, not even working for the government. I called Steve and was able to get a cleaning crew over to our place in a very short time. We have a large 5 bedroom home and they cleaned it from top to bottom in 3 hours. I'm a relatively new customer to CleanSpace, but a very happy one! Ashley and the ladies are prompt, efficient, and really good at what they do. If you've had experiences with cleaners that don't show up when promised, don't do a consistently good job, you need to call Ashley. We are a kinda picky house - you know, when your house looks like you rearranged all your stuff after the cleaners come and your brain starts itching (or is that just me??) - well anyway, I don't have that problem with CleanSpace. Really wish I could have taken advantage of this service. They quoted me a first time cleaning fee of $275 - $385 for our barely 900 square foot 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment. Not to mention it was already cleaned regularly, we just wanted to switch companies. I would of happily signed up for a semi-monthly cleaning ($119 each time) if they would have just seen that we didn't need a deep clean the first time around. Ludicrous initial pricing... I tried 3 cleaners in Santa Clara before finding CleanSpace, and really happy I finally found a legitimately good cleaner! (Actually two cleaners - they're able to do a quick and excellent job instead of milking the hourly rate.) Ashley is amazing. She always calls to make sure things are going well, I always get my text message the day before with the time the cleaners are showing up, and they always do a solid job. Above and beyond - One day my apartment's front office lost a key, and tried to blame it on the cleaners. While the front desk called to yell at me, Ashley called to apologize profusely and sent the cleaners back to look for the key and work things out. We later found out that the front-office worker had lied - she'd lost the key and blamed it on CleanSpace! In the face of this, Ashley and her staff were still more than professional and absolutely amazing. I highly recommend CleanSpace. read more

They charge extra to make the beds nothing outstanding about the cleaning service several times they forgot something and please don't use the feedback form they really didn't take the criticism well and started to argue with me. This review is not about the cleaning abilities of Clean Space. I bet they do a good job...once they actually follow up on your phone calls. I first contacted them when they left a flyer on my door advertising their services in May. I called them, and they said they did not have staff until end of August to take on new clients before we got talking about my house etc. Within a few days, I got yet another flyer on my door. I thought maybe the situation had changed and called them again. I got the same response. This time, I did talk to Ashley at length about my requirements, she got my name and contact and promised to call when their staff was back end of August. I didn't hear back, and called them first week of September. Someone, not Ashley, asked whether this was for a one-time cleaning or on-going. I said I would first do a one-time, and if I liked them, I would make it an ongoing thing. She said they had someone other person handling one time cleanings, and took my contact and said they would call me back. I asked when I should expect to hear back. She said within two business days. Well, its been a month. I am still waiting. I tried very hard to give them my business. I am guessing they don't want it :( Not sure why they keep putting flyers out if they don't have the required staff in the first place! read more

Normally I would not consider such a service... but with the baby here, friends and family visiting and the such, the wife and I cannot find enough time to clean the house regularly. We've been kind of kicking this around for a while until finally I decided to look into it. I called a bunch of companies here on yelp and only CleanSpace picked up the phone, provided me with all the details I was looking for including price, and the owner of the company, Ashley, called afterwards to thank me for calling and offer any other details. Needless to say, the responsiveness and service were overwhelming in a good way. They've earned my business. The cleaners came and did a fantastic job. Everything was cleaned exceptionally well. Ashley followed up that day and the next. We'll be going with the monthly service from them with a few add-ins. A nice luxury but a needed one! read more

Let me start this review by saying the people are VERY nice! I loved the cleaning lady's and Ashely is great at checking in!! The reason I am giving a 3 star is the cleaning itself. We used them once a month for 6 months. They seemed to always miss one or two things like not take all the trash out, dusting, not putting bags back in the trash, cobwebs, not wiping the fronts of the washer and dryer ect. (all things outlined in the list of things they do) Also in my shower I had to point pockets of mold out constantly and the rugs were never put back in the same spot. I also showed them were the hide a key was (always in the same spot) a few times, which cause a few issues. I also started having them use my steam mope because the mop they were using left a "funky" smell at times. I really liked how they give you a comment sheet at the end of the service so you could leave notes for the next time. I had a few other issues with CleanSpace but Ashely went above and beyond to make them right! After everything that had happened we decided to part ways with no hard feelings. read more

We've been using CleanSpace for well over a year now, and it's due time for a review. No BS, here's how our experience with them has been: We love having CleanSpace. It's been a godsend. Seriously. We have them come in every 2 weeks. Since we're hardly ever home (early morning, late in the evening), cleaning is impossible. It's so nice and refreshing to have them here. I don't know what I'll do if I ever moved out of the area. Best part about CleanSpace? They're flexible, accommodating, and they listen. Ultimately, what made me choose them was that feedback mattered. It's easy to reach out to Ashley, and she responds in a few hours. I think there was maybe one or two times when in the cleaning feedback I wrote something down -- I got a phone call the very next day to be sure that that was the only thing that needed altering. The cleaning itself is phenomenal. I don't know how they keep that bathroom as clean as it is. When I attempt, its a biohazard. Somehow though, they make it happen. They also manage to circumnavigate the sheer mess that accumulates in the two weeks between cleanings. We don't make it easy for them to clean this place. But they manage it fantastically. I contacted Clean Space Cleaning via their website on a national holiday expecting to hear back the next day. I had requested a quote for a move-in cleaning for my real estate client's new house in Soquel. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard back almost immediately and they let me know they had availability the following day! Per my client, the cleaning crew showed up on time, worked very hard for hours and hours cleaning everything that was asked of them. What more could you want? I have been using the Clean Space service for over a year and I am very pleased. My cleaning team of Uricela, Gisela and Graciela do a wonderful job keeping my home clean. They have all kinds of tricks for keeping everything sparkly clean. I love that they also change my sheets for I think $5 per bed. They are also very efficient, managing to get everything done in under an hour. The couple of times that the company needed to send a substitute team I have also been very satisfied. They are very organized and keep notes of the specific things they need to do to clean your home. Because of this the substitute teams were use the notes to get the job well done. They've been cleaning my apartment for a while now and I appreciate the care and effort they put in. In particular, my favorite parts: They correspond with me by email because I prefer it! We've been using CleanSpace for about four months now, and it's been such a relief to find them after some less than stellar experiences with other companies. This is probably the best-run company I have ever encountered. They set up clear expectations on what they will and will not clean, how much it will cost, when they'll show up, and how you can provide feedback. You get a reminder call the day before, and a follow-up call the day after to make sure you're satisfied with their work. They leave behind a feedback page that you can make notes on. They allow you to pay with credit card automatically (don't require it, mind you, but I love not having to remember to leave a check). They don't currently service my best friend's neighborhood (in Mountain View), and I'm trying to leverage her unhappiness about that to get her to move closer to me. We've been using CleanSpace for about 4 years now (I think?). We started out every other week and now we have weekly cleanings. I cannot go back! I'm terrible at keeping up with cleaning and I could never do it as quickly or thoroughly as the technicians at CleanSpace. We tidy up and do dishes, but that is not much time at all on the morning of cleaning day. All of the technicians have been so nice and careful. They do a really fantastic job. Ashley is great and very responsive. We don't have problems, but whenever we need to reschedule a cleaning for some reason, she is flexible and finds a way to fit us in on a different day. We've employed CleanSpace as our go-to cleaner for the past 2 years, we have a large 5 bedroom/4 bath home and I've tried 3 different cleaners over the years. I've been very satisfied with all the employees-it's truly the best cleaning service we've ever had. Ashley is prompt and responsive in addressing any concerns we've had, and we've only had a few small issues over the past 24 months which is in itself commendable (missed cleaning a room, stain from vaccum on a part of the carpet, a broken window blind cord, our garage door jammed when they were leaving). I feel one major thing that sets cleaning services apart is how the response will be when something goes wrong. Each time there was a problem Ashley called me right away (while they were still in the house) and let me know what the problem was and proposed a solution--she had the team return to clean the missed room, someone came fix our garage door, a professional carpet cleaner deal with the small carpet stain, and offered to reimburse us to have our blind cord fixed. I've been so pleased with the honesty and integrity of this service! After almost every cleaning Ashley will email me directly and ask for feedback, they also leave a feedback sheet at the time of cleaning to be submitted back. I've never had a cleaner solicit feedback from me so proactively! As for the cleanings, they've been wonderful, thorough and responsive to our directions. We have been using CleanSpace for monthly cleanings since we moved to the South Bay in 2012. They have always blown us away with the state that our apartment is left in when they come through to clean. We try to tidy things up ahead of time so thorough cleaning can still happen, but even when a bit of clutter goes neglected by us, they manage to straighten it into a tidy stack or pile. We've been using Clean Space since 2013 and we look forward to every (other) week that we get a cleaning. Ashley's team is efficient, trustworthy, and convenient. The cleanings are consistent and reliable. There has never been a cancellation or missed cleaning. Ashley follows up regularly via phone call/email to ensure that we are happy with the cleanings and there is a feedback form for each cleaning. The text reminders the day before a cleaning are helpful too. With a toddler and another baby on the way, our house is riddled with toys, baby gates and mats and lots of clutter. I love Clean Space. I've had other cleaners and they're not as good. Ashley is really responsive if you have any concerns and follows up quickly and makes things right. I like how they offer extra things that normal companies won't do, like clean your fridge, wipe down cabinets etc. (they have a list, ask to see it) The ladies who do come and quick and do a great job. No one has been able to get the hard water stains off of my glass shower doors except them. Our house is full of marble and they have been great cleaning it, and I can clearly see spots from the previous owners who damaged the marble with the wrong cleaning supplies, but there are no new spots from Clean Space. (I didn't know marble was so tricky.) Also they deal well with my finicky chihuahua and old grumpy cat. I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

Ashley calls me to go in and fix things -- You know, Sometimes things break when the cleaner is cleaning something, and it's almost never the cleaners fault -- all the cleaners are very careful, but once in while a faucet can come loose or something can fall if its in a precarious place -- that sort of thing.
