Very happy with my experience using 'Dave the Carpet Cleaner' this past week. I started out through Yelp requesting quotes from several local carpet cleaners in my area. Elyse (with Dave's) was quick to respond and gave me clear information and was able to schedule my service quickly. Travis is who came to do the job. He was friendly, on time, extremely professional, and did an excellent job. He cleaned our house, a white area rug, and a huge sectional w/ottoman. While nothing was grossly stained, we did have some carpet wear after five years and the rug and furniture needed refreshing. Our sectional and rug looked brand new by the time he was done. He took great care to do a good job and it showed. Travis also reminded me what a great tool a carpet rake is! read more

I used Dave to clean my upstairs carpet and my downstairs Pottery Barn Wool rug. He did a good job on the upstairs carpet. Do not let him clean a Wool rug he does not know what he's doing and we had a discussion about "wool" before he cleaned it. He made the comment after he cleaned it that I might see some lighter spots and I did! Had I known that, I would not have let him clean the wool area rug. To Reply to your comment Dave I'm not letting you re-clean the rug because you will probably damage it more. I posted the review late because I am considering small claims court as the rug is ruined and it's an expensive rug. Due to Covid the courts are backed up but I may still take you to small claims court to replace the rug. read more

We needed our carpets cleaned ASAP at a reasonable price and Dave came through for us. We have a lot of carpeting that needed to just be cleaned up as we had recently moved in and would feel much more comfortable having the carpets cleaned before we replace it all with something else down the road. Dave was very thorough in explaining that the carpet had age, but that a good cleaning would definitely help and also make us feel comfortable living with the carpet. Unfortunately some stains that were already past any sort of remedy did not come out, but he told me ahead of time that this would be the case as once a stain sets in, there isn't much you can do to remove it from carpeting. Nonetheless, he made sure the carpets were freshly cleaned and it only took him about 1.5 to 2 hours. I wanted the carpet in my Class C motorhome cleaned. I looked on Yelp and Dave the Carpet Cleaner had 5 star reviews except for one. I called him and he agreed to do my small job for a reasonable price. On the day of the cleaning he was better than on-time, he was about 30 minutes early. No waiting around like we usually do when someone says they are coming to do work at a certain time. The carpet looked great. My motorhome was purchased in 2007 and this was the first time for a carpet cleaning. They needed a cleaning to say the least. He managed to make my 12 year old carpet look nearly new. Prior to this, if I were asked to envision the most ideal carpet cleaner, it would still pale in comparison to the superb service at Dave's. Not only was he very punctual for our appointment, but was refreshingly enthusiastic about the job. He really gets down and dirty with his inspections, and literally feels and smells every single suspicious area he spies on your carpet. He's extremely amiable as well, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. The cleaning itself only took about an hour and a half, and was done very efficiently and effectively. I was very pleasantly surprised by how new the carpet looked, and how well the stains had been removed. At the end, the price he charged us was the price he quoted over the phone--so there was no annoying haggling or price hikes to deal with, whatsoever. Very honest. From our conversations, I learned that Dave is usually the one who makes the trips out there to work, personally, so--as the owner--you know that the quality of work will be there. (His business partner, also named Dave (haha!), also does the work at times, and is equally reliable.) Dave only does carpet cleaning. Not repairs. I spoke to him over the phone and explained I needed a repair and a cleaning. He quoted me for both based on the phone description. Maybe more once he saw it. Basically, when he got to our home he said he did not do repairs and only did the cleaning. I was not there, only my wife. Otherwise, I would have not had him do the cleaning alone as I needed both. He did do a good job of cleaning. But, I felt he had misled me with regard to the repair. When he found out I was unhappy he called and offered to refund the full amount and was truly sorry about the misunderstanding. I give him a lot of credit for that as it was what a good businessman should do. I did not take him up on the offer as he did clean the carpet and it turned out well. I called Dave on Tuesday and spoke to him about coming out and cleaning the carpets. He gave me a quote over the phone - after i gave him the square footage and explained what areas needed to be cleaned. I also had him clean the tile in my bathroom. Dave showed up on time and on Monday (quicker than expected), he was very professional and explained exactly what he was going to do. He doesn't move large pieces of furniture, but uses a wand to get under everything if it cannot be easily moved. He was here for about 2 hours. He completed the job promptly and treated problem areas with pet odor removal. I can now walk around the house and smell nothing but clean carpets - no more cat pee smell.
