Honestly, an awful experience. No, hello, no, hi, how's it going? Just. We're booked till 530. Did you call in? My response? No, "I'm a walk-in." Should I schedule an appointment for 530? His reply,only if you return at 5:30. We don't want or need no call no shows. This guy is the definition of ill-equipped, unprofessional, and quite frankly, poor representation of customer service. Best cut in CDA. There might be a wait but it is well worth it. They have a pool table to pass the time and plenty of mags and tv. For $16 you get a wash with a hot towel, cut and style. That is a hard value to beat and the cut is great. It is not the kind of place that rushes you in and out. Each cut is about a half and hour and you can tell they take pride in their work. The store advertises NO appointments, waiting list, call-aheads, etc. Just first come, first served. That's the only downside. Even with an hour wait time, it's not like you'd be bored. There's a pool table, arcade game, and HDTV ESPN. The walls are adorned with guy memorabilia (sports, Playboy, Dumb & Dumber poster). The staff is pro, friendly, and down-to-earth. I enjoy looking good but always felt bad that I'm picky about a haircut. Some men would never touch a salon with a 40 foot pole -- salons are for women, right? I've been going to Clean Cuts since they were in their old store by Appleway, and have never considered going someplace else since trying them out years ago. I sincerely look forward to coming in to the shop and hearing how everyone is doing and what has happened in the last month. My haircuts have always turned out good, despite having to be placed on a adversely large head, and I have always enjoyed the conversation and personalities that work and are waiting there. My only complaint is that I've never made a basket for a dollar off in the last four + years, which I chalk up to the rim being to small, rather than my ability to shoot a foam basketball :) Overall, a great place with a friendly and laid back atmosphere. read more

I've had enough of going to salon's where my wife wants me to go. Clean Cut is more like the barber shops like I grew up with, only better. Great location in Midtown CdA with street parking and parking around the back. No appointments so you wait your turn bu its a nice atmosphere with a cool aquarium, big screen TV with ESPN on, a pool table and comfortable chairs with a nice selection of magazines. There is even a side room with a TV, overstuffed chairs and a fridge where you can enjoy a brew (1st one free!) while you're waiting. When your turn comes up you start off with a shampoo while you get a hot towel treatment for your face. Each station has its own TV with sports on and you'll get every bit as good a cut as anywhere else. The barbers are friendly and its a nice conversational place to spend a cut. Afterward, you get a shot at a Nerf basketball hoop for a $1 off. My whole cut with a decent tip was $20 and you get your card stamped and earn a free cut after the cards full. Its an upbeat place with friendly, positive workers. They are one of the businesses that will make the newly renovated Midtown unique. Give it a try, you'll like it. read more

Furthermore, she took the clippers to my hair and created a whole new hairline. No appointments. You show up and may have to wait a bit. I've not waited more than 30 minutes or so. Sporty atmosphere with free popcorn and soda while you wait. Many TVs with games on. Nice people, locally owned, and they do a good job. I've been pleased with my hair cuts each time. read more
