WHO TURNS AWAY A ONE YEAR OLD FOR THEIR FIRST HAIRCUT?? I took my 1 year old son to Regal for his first haircut because I remember my childhood barber and I thought this could be a great place. I couldn't have been more wrong! Our appointment was at 0900 and we walked through the door at 0910. There were three stylists sitting around and one man in a chair getting his hair cut. Yes we were a bit late but, I have a one year old. The short-haired woman at the front desk, I believe her name was Johnah, told us we were more than 10 minutes late and would have to reschedule. I looked at my phone and it said 0911. I was so shocked at her attitude I had no idea what to say. The place was EMPTY and people were sitting around but she said we have people lined up back to back. You couldn't cut a 1 year old's hair in a couple minutes? I left but then called and asked who the owner/manager was and the same person was evasive, ultimately admitting she was the one that told us to reschedule because we're one minute past the cutoff and that the owner's information was online, which it wasn't. When I asked her for her name, she hung up. I called back literally 2 seconds later and another stylist picked up named Tara. I asked if she was the one I was just speaking to and she said no. I asked for the other's name and she said she wasn't sure because she was in the back. A blatant lie. This was supposed to be my sons first haircut and they ruined that experience with their poor attitude and customer service. WHO TURNS AWAY A ONE YEAR OLD FOR THEIR FIRST HAIRCUT BECAUSE THEY ARE ONE MINUTE PAST THE 10 MINUTE CUTOFF? My sister is a hair stylist and she would never do that. It's bad business. Especially when the place is empty! I hope the owner contacts me because that woman should not have a job in customer service! Maybe this woman was scared to do a child's hair, maybe she didn't have the skills, maybe she had a bad day, or maybe she is just a witch. There is no excuse. I hope people read this and they lose business because of it. COMPLETELY unacceptable. read more

I was rudely informed of their ten minute late window after arriving eleven minutes late for an appointment. Having a late window is fine but that's something that should be communicated to customers when they book appointments over the phone. I was never informed of this policy and found their lack of flexibility shocking considering that I called the evening before to reschedule a morning appointment (for the very next day) and was given complete flexibility to change my appointment time. Staff should be trained on customer service - bad attitudes and rude demeanors won't do your business any favors. read more

So believe it or not, the biggest struggle I have when I move to a new area is finding a good barbershop. I believe a haircut represents who you are in a sense so I tend to be a bit picky. Christy gave the best haircut I've had in a while. This is my 4th barbershop over the last four months and two out of the four, I wanted to cry after the results. The third barbershop was decent and did a great job but did not offer razor fades. Christy and The Regal Barber delivered in all areas. The cost for a razor fade is a little bit higher than I'm used to paying, but as a business owner myself, you never want to be the cheapest company. If you can charge more and offer a better service customers will appreciate it and pay the price. Thanks for a great haircut. read more

So I went back to The Regal Barber Shop after Christy invited me back to attend to the issues I mentioned in my first review. I must say that after this experience I am extremely satisfied with every aspect of my experience. Christy really took the time to understand my specific grievances with my initial haircut. She was an absolute joy to speak with about what I had issues with, what she was doing to my hair during the process, and just chit-chatting during the haircut, she is a great conversationalist. When she was finished she gave me a mirror to inspect her work and invited me to get close to the big mirror to get a good look. While I was checking out her work she explained to me that because of a cowlick I have toward the back of my head, she was limited to what she was able to achieve with the length of hair I specified. This is exactly what I was looking for, a really engaged barber who does all they can within the limits of an individuals hair type and request. In light of how cool she was being, I told her that I actually felt a bit crummy for leaving the review I did and she said not to even worry about it and that the customer experience is her top priority. She even offered a free shampoo and insisted upon it. This experience has really lifted my opinion about her business and I will continue to return and bring my son here for her great customer service and dedication to her craft. I'll be going back in about six weeks :) I was able to call and easily schedule an appointment that worked with my schedule, the vibe inside the shop was great and most importantly Christy gave me a great haircut. not good. i tried my best to work with the barber, and after a few different requests they continue to go shorter and shorter on my hair, after explicit requests NOT to. i was left with a weird almost bobcut, after requesting a trim. the barber just seemed unfocused like they were trying to get it over with ASAP, which made me even more nervous and clearly for all the right reasons. read more

Took my kids here a few weeks back and they did a great job. The price for kids haircut is over priced comparable to all the competition around here (Oasis $11.99, Great Clips $13.99, etc.). Paid for kids hair the same as an adult $20 something per kid. Only reason why I didn't deduct a star is because they are a small business and wanted them to do well! They do have complimentary drinks available while you are waiting which is a plus. Customer service is great!! read more
