    Choppy haircut with damp spots!

    My cat has been getting groomed for over 5 years. Price is usually about $75-$80. I took her to this new place & they charged me $135! Plus I tipped over 20%. I got back a damp cat.. her eyes were swollen, she was congested and started coughing. Not to mention she was choppy, AND they didn't wash off the shampoo so she began licking her skin raw. I've groomed pets before, we CANNOT let them leave wet OR damp being that it is winter (it was raining as well) the animal WILL get sick. When I called the owner to discuss she had said I signed a waiver so there's nothing they can do besides bringing the cat back. Why would I bring my cat back after that experience? You get what you paid for I didn't pay $165 to get back a wet, sick, chopped up cat. I had to re-bathe her myself to get the shampoo out after paying so much money.. This was insane. We spoke a few times in between but nothing got resolved. She said she'd speak to her husband and call back which she never did. The way things were handled was wrong. The way that business is ran, is wrong. Very upsetting and unfortunate that it came to this. DO NOT bring your pets there. This groomer will rip you off let you get a sick pet in return and tell you they can't do anything about it because a waiver was signed! Horrible that it's a "family" owned business but they treat you like this! Very sad. I have pictures and videos of my poor baby after she got back from here. Also, had to bring her to the vet.

    They ruined my beautiful pup. I want to cry every time I look at him. Shaved him literally down to the skin in some spots. My poor baby. For the $86 I was charged I could have bought a razor and did a better job myself..and that's IF I even wanted him shaved. I only wanted a trim, not every hair on his face shaved off. When I handed him over when I got there the guy took off his leash and collar and then struggled to pick him up to bring him to the back, nearly dropping him (he's 50 pounds). My dog was clearly frightened. Why couldn't he take him back on the leash? I should have taken my boy and ran right then. I blame myself. I should have waited for an appointment at my regular groomer, but this place was convenient and could take me right away. Next time I won't be so impulsive. :(

    the folks at clean as a whisker truly take pride in what they do. they care about your animal and have always given great cuts to my cat and dog. we've been customers for about five years and refuse to go anywhere else. the owner is very personable and will show you how to properly comb your pet at home. i appreciated he took the time to explain how to do it right. they're the best!

    Love this place my dog always looks awesome. They go above and beyond to accommodate me.

I believed I was doing so and the puppy I was waiting for was adopted right out from under me. I have many messages between us specifying which animal I was waiting to adopt. Yet still it was adopted by someone else. There was no sense of remorse for ruining my birthday present, nor was there any remorse , more importantly, for their error. I was told to come and pick another one like it was no big deal. For me it was a big deal because I already had chosen a name for the puppy and purchased many items for that specific puppy I felt a connection with. I do not want anyone else to be treated in this harsh, uncaring way. I do not want anyone else to go through the same pain. I think what is the most hurtful is their inability to take responsibility for their error and the heartache it has caused. They simply maintained focus on some set of notes they had filled with misinformation that I was able to prove it was misinformation with photos from our thread of mesages. That in itself represents their irresponsibility and concern for client feelings I am hoping this improves their responsibility to the commitments they make, as well as the accuracy of the notes they maintain. I hope they learn to return to message threads to review the conversations they hold. These conversations contain needed information for the adoptions they conduct. I hope they learn how to rectify their mistakes and admit to them. This is a fabulous way to earn people's respect and confidence in their ability to maintain a rescue.

I'm…read morewriting to express my disappointment with the experience I had at Carol's Pet Grooming Salon during my most recent visit. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, and until now, I've always trusted the care and professionalism they have provided. I had a 12:00 noon appointment for my small dog, and under normal circumstances, grooming has taken between 2 to 3 hours. At drop-off, I was told this visit might take closer to 4 hours -- which, while longer than usual, I accepted. However, I was shocked when it ultimately took 6 hours and 20 minutes before my dog was ready. This extended time is unacceptable, especially for a small dog who cannot comfortably go that long without food or a break. I raised my concerns at pickup and requested a refund or partial credit, but instead was told that the long delay was due to the care and time they take with each dog. While I ABSOLUTELY appreciate quality grooming, this SHOULD be factored into how appointments are scheduled. Leaving a dog for over six hours without clear communication or updates is both inconsiderate and, frankly, irresponsible. I expected more from a business I've supported for two decades. Unfortunately, based on this experience and the lack of accountability, I've decided I will not be returning.
