In 2021 I spent $10,163.00 on 4 new ductless units. Upon completion, none of the units worked. Two were left with visible holes drilled in the wrong place, one unit was obviously not level. One installer told me my ceiling was slanted? I actually had to go to Mark with info on all 4 units showing times, result before he would send a repairman out. No refrigerant in the line to any unit. May 2025 I spent $15,885.00 on a new furnace and heat pump. When installed it did not work properly. Service call two days later, still not working properly. Did not use over the summer. November the service calls started again, until the repairman stopped communicating with me. It took a complaint to the Construction Contractors Board in January, eight and one half months after installation, for Warren to call me. Warren and Brandon came out, hooked up a loose wire, problem solved? I have no faith in the service calls, what I am told, or anything else from SOHAC, so now I must use a different company for maintenance and repairs. Michelle was always friendly and helpful. I keep telling myself just say no but I can't kick the dragon off my back so I just keep going. One thing I really don't like doing is electrical work. My house is a good fifty years old but not to bad. The people before me put up new drywall and did some other work but left the original plugs in the wall. So bad the plugs would fall out or be so loose as not to work, I.e phone Charger. Yes, whoever did it is fired in my book. I had to change one because I was hanging a tv up and the plug would drop out after a mere tremor. So here I am on the floor, a big guy with big hands and I suppose these green eyes don't focus the way they used to. Just Being honest it probably took me about an hour just on that one plug. I had two bedrooms and The rest of the living room and hallway to do. I'm still shaking My head when I think of it. I looked around and called Murphys Electric and left a message. The next day I got a call from them and I spilled out my dilemma. He very Nice and patiently listened and then told me they are very busy But he'll see what he could do. Will, by the end of the day he calls back and tells Me he has someone that will be here at 8 am the next day. I was speechless. Ok let's go for it and 8 am the next day Jed pulls up and I show him what I needed and off to work he goes. He had the first bedroom done in an hour! It was great and then he kept going. He even cut a beater opening in the bathroom where I had put up cedar walls and put the plug over the wood. He even spots the outlet that I put in and noticed it was out from the wall a little too much and fixed that up. I was very happy with the work and even showed him the lights I have on the deck where I have it partially roofed and has overhead lights and will have them come back to replace the lights with something like a Key Largo type fan. I have complete confidence in them.
