I was having difficulty with insurance whom finally advised after 3 hours that they couldn't authorize tow from Cle Elum to my home in Spokane. We had hit a deer and our vehicle was not operational. I called Cle Elum towing and they were there within 40 minutes. Thomas was exceptional. He towed our vehicle and transported us from Cle Elum to Spokane. December 2024, Christmas Eve: After getting nowhere useful with roadside assistance, I called Cle Elum Towing. We needed to be in Bellingham on the 26th. We scheduled for that morning. Andy contacted me later on Christmas Eve and we were set. He arrived mid morning and we were loaded on his truck and on our way by about 11. Even with a slowdown over the snowy, slushy pass and a pit stop, we unloaded in Bellingham about 2:30pm. Fantastic. I highly recommend these folks. read more

Blew a tire over the pass (yes I know how to change a tire, my new car did not come with the lugnut lock so I couldn't unscrew the lugnuts) 5 miles away from Cle elum. Called AAA, estimated 3 hour wait. Clearly did not have the patience for that. Hopped on Yelp to read a couple reviews, and Liked what I read under Cle Elum Towing. Gave them a call, estimated an hour and a half wait, and they showed up within the hour. Andy, our driver, did not mess around, got my car on the rig within 5 minutes to hit the road. With COVID rules, I am not supposed to drive in the tow truck, after he proposed a solution I got my car to the destination of request saving 45 minutes and all in one piece. All in all, I never give yelp reviews UNLESS I believe the company and their service deserves one. And Cle Elum towing deserves one in this case. Andy is the GOAT! I honestly would hit him up to have a beer and to go fishing. I was in an electric vehicle which ran out of charge a few miles away from a station. Called AAA and they sent someone from this towing agency right away, which was nice but the person they sent clearly had no experience with towing electric vehicles. First he was agitated that my partner and I didn't know how to tow the vehicle (which I thought was his job) then he got upset that we couldn't produce a certain towing part. I have had this car towed a few times before and NEVER had any issues with it but this guy sure did. His attitude was terrible and he took nearly 40 minutes to load the car onto the bed of the truck. When he did finally get it loaded, he told me to stay in the drivers seat so I could help load and unload it. This is extremely illegal to do but he was in such a bad mood and I was tired and didn't want to fight him on it. He didn't have any other passengers in his truck but made us ride in the car being towed anyway. Super upset with the whole experience and will make sure to always be on a full charge, especially when passing through this town. read more

My car was towed from a crash on 97 to their yard. I was not there but gone to the hospital. My wife met the tow operator later and was invited to come to the yard to pick up belongings. They went out of their way to get access to the damaged trunk. After my insurance company dropped the ball, Michelle worked with me to get the fees paid and situation resolved. Very friendly customer service. Just a note, I rarely give anyone a 5 star rating so don't read into it much. I am a happy customer. read more

Cle Elum Towing is excellent! I have a small business in Cle Elum and with a fleet of vehicles; break downs and getting stuck in winter is inevitable. They have always responded quickly as they can when we call. One time in particular, it was a Sunday and the roads were packed plus a lot of accidents, so it did take a few hours but they had told us that up front. They are friendly, safe have never damaged our vehicles during the towing process. I definitely recommend them and will continue to use their service. read more

I was stranded in Cle Elum on December 01, 2011. Called Cle Elum Towing. Craig was very kind & considerate. He dropped me off at a restaurant in town so that I had a warm place to stay till my ride could pick me up. Maybe that's part of his job description, but in my book that's going above and beyond. Cle Elum is very limited on their auto repair shops. I have never heard of a business that does not take credit cards! That really put me in a tough situation. I explained my ordeal to Cle Elum Towing. They were willing to take my credit card & cut a check to the auto repair shop! Who does that? Considerate people who care about their customers! I want to thank Michelle for being so awesome to me and my family late on a Sunday night I ran out of gas on hwy 90 with my mother and 10 year old daughter in the car. Totally embarrassing and stressful, my road side assistance after a long talk gave me a three hour quote ! Was driving back home from Ellensburg today and got stranded on westbound 90 just outside Cle Elum with an overheated engine. Being a long ways from home, this caused me quite a bit of stress and anxiety. Called my roadside assistance and they sent out a truck from Cle Elum Towing...not a perfect experience, I did have to wait over an hour for the truck, but the driver Brad did a phenomenal job once he got to me. He honored my request to change the drop-off location no problem, and did everything possible to make sure I made it to my shuttle by the auto shop. Getting a ride with a tow truck can be an awkward and uncomfortable experience but Brad made me feel at ease and well taken care of. Keep up the awesome work read more

I must give accolades to Craig at Cle towing. My sister was traveling to Spokane from her home in Kent with 5 of her dogs in the car. She had a horrible accident and was taken to Overtake Hospital and the "four legged kids" were towed in the car to Cle Elum Towing. I am unbelievably disappointed with this company. My 18 year old son and his 11 year old sister broke down just outside Snoqualmie Pass on I90 EB on a Sunday afternoon. We have AAA fortunately and my son used this to order a tow truck. AAA sent Cle Elum Towing, however when the tow driver arrived he stated that my son did not have AAA. (???) My son insisted he did and asked the driver to check again. The driver appeared to check again, but told my son again that he could not find any record of his AAA. He told my son he would need to pay up front, which my son said no to since we have AAA to cover these things. The driver told my son he would not tow him, but my son would need to give him $200 to cover the expense of him coming out and my son refusing the tow. My son of course, refused to do this. At this point State Patrol drove by and pulled over. The officer was able to confirm my son's AAA, but the tow driver refused to tow my son and left. The officer pushed my son to a rest stop that was less than a mile away, requested another tow through AAA, and left. State Patrol dispatch contacted me to advise that AAA was stating the only company they had contracted nearby was Cle Elum towing and they were refusing the call. They wanted to ensure my son and his sister were taken care of and offered contact information for another tow company. Not only did they have to wait alone at a rest stop in the middle of nowhere for several hours while this was all sorted out and the other tow company drove out, but I also ended up paying $1500 to have my son towed to Pasco, which would have cost less than $50 after our AAA coverage. I cannot believe the unethical behavior of the driver, and the willingness of the company to leave my son and his little sister stranded even though they had the resources to cover the tow. Whether this was about the company getting a lower rate on a long tow due to the AAA coverage or the driver trying to extort money from my son, or both this is completely unacceptable. If you can choose your tow company, do not choose Cle Elum Towing. Hopefully AAA will contract with more local companies so you don't find yourself in the same awful situation my son did. read more
