After our first meeting where they professionally treated my emergency and with immediate painless results, I have become a regular. The place is always exceptionally clean and when I first moved here I reviewed some dental offices that were scarily not hygienic. They have state of the art equipment when it comes to specialty treatment that my previous dentist didn't have or even discuss with me as an option. My previous dentist kept wanting to send me to a periodontist but Dr. Iams was able to keep me away from surgical procedures. I never have a problem getting an appointment. They will send you emails to put your appointment on your calendar, give you a text reminder on the day of and of course, only if you want them. I am giving detail, because billing confrontations seem to be a common theme on the negative…read morereviews. Billing staff is confrontational and rude. I questioned an estimate that didn't align with my insurance benefits and they kept explaining to me why they were correct rather than having a conversation. After I requested it, they reluctantly agreed to a preauth. They were about $60 off and I was about $2 off from what the preauth came back as. They never contacted me with the information had to get it from Aetna. This didn't surprise me, as they made a whole production and were wrong. I sent a letter to the dentist asking if he wanted me to come back or not, because I did not want trouble at the office. What I received back was a noncommittal letter back that billing is hard and some other nonsense that didn't address the question. At this point I had no intention of going back. On august 8, I received the letter I had expected, terminating the relationship. They are required by law to send this, so it was totally fine. I actually already went to a different dentist. However it is worth sharing that the letter said, there were a couple of instances where I complained about my coverage and have complained about their fee. To be clear, I had only been once before, for a cleaning, which was mostly covered, outside of a few dollars. Also, I didn't think their fees were unreasonable, they were pretty normal for an out of network dentist. Finally, I don't know why on earth I would "complain about my coverage" to a provider? The provider has nothing to do with that. This simply didn't happen. Bottom line, they are angry about a negative review without wanting to take ownership of how and why it happened. The main thing for me, (and this is more for the business, because I know they read these,) is my review are the facts of my experience. If I am being untruthful, you have recourse, but I'm not, and we both know that. It is disappointing to have you try and pass accountability. I do have a couple of suggestions. If you are concerned with the quality of the reviews you receive, use them as an opportunity to improve. Alternatively, if it bothers you that much to have a customer describe their experience, turn off reviews. I would have been happy to remove it if someone would have called to have a discussion, but that isn't how you chose to handle it. Hope this review helps anyone who reads.

I broke a tooth and he was able to fit me in very quickly even though he was booked for the week! He fixed my broken tooth incredibly quickly and gave me the option of numbing it or not. I chose not to numb it because my mouth always feels so weird when it's numb and there was no pain at all! He fixed my tooth before the podcast episode I was listening to finished! My front top tooth was chipped and he fixed it in about 30 minutes and it looks great! Good as new! Better even because he slightly thickened it so it would be stronger than before so hopefully if I ever smack it against a metal water bottle again, it won't chip again! But it feels and looks just the same as it did before I chipped it! I've been going to him for years and everything he does (fix a cavity, put in a crown, fix a chipped tooth, or just a regular cleaning) is successful, painless, and quick! He also tells me to raise a hand if I feel any discomfort and he'll stop but in all the years he's been my dentist, I've never had to raise my hand!
