Had an amazing time with my bestie! Lots of items to pick from. You're able to bring snacks and drinks if you want. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Kid friendly

I have been to Clay Casa many times over the years and it never disappoints! If you've never experienced this before, you will pick something ceramic and glaze it however you'd like and then leave it with them to finish and kiln. All the staff is so kind and helpful if/when you have questions about the prices, pieces to paint, or techniques seen on display items. Definitely a place to pass the time with friend, two or more! I have seen lots of families enjoy this place and dates as well. Only drawback, if you're not local you may have to organize (and I'd assume pay) for the shipping to get it sent to wherever you live. They only keep your finished pieces for a few months at a time before they stop housing them for you. If you are just walking by, you can browse the pieces and see if you like anything before committing to anything. I've seen lots of people flow in and out. If you like something and there's an open table, go nuts! If it's busy, you can be out on a waiting list while you walk around the shops above, around and behind the establishment, or go to the eatery behind for a glass of wine and quick bite! Tip: If you are wanting to go on a weekend, during the summer (or honestly most) afternoons, or just like to be sure you get a table, I'd highly recommend calling a day or two ahead and reserving a table! They also have some night classes/lessons usually themed around the season or month!

Love the atmosphere! The train nearby adds a cool touch while painting any ceramic piece.

This is a fun, relaxing environment. The ladies who work here are excellent at explaining the how's of painting. (I have never done the tile work. It is available.) You basically choose what you wish to paint. Then, you choose the colors you wish to paint your item with. While they get the paints ready, you go get the paint brushes you want to use. Typlcally, I use about 3 different paint brushes. There are also q-tips and tooth picks (helps remove unwanted paint, aka mistakes) available to use. The best thing I can share is to use at least 3 applications of the paints. I love the thin liners that you can use to outline and even sign your pieces! You turn in your painted pieces and pay the fees. Then you come back in 2 weeks after the pieces have been put in the kiln to be fired. You pick them up and get to enjoy the beautiful pieces you painted. This never disappoints! We have done this with our children almost every year for the last 15 years.

I came here for my mothers birthday, and it was all amazing, the service was so wonderful the workers are super Helpful, for being a weekend and no reservation they still had a place for us to clay paint and that's amazing to me, the ambiance was super chill, but for the location it's pretty small if your going on a weekend you should be expecting a hard time trying to find a parking spot, but other then that this was amazing

Had so much fun doin g this on a girls weekend! The people were super helpful!! They had a ton of colors to pick from and had so many options of objects to paint!

So fun! Went with a small group and the staff was so informative. She walked us through the whole process and gave instructions. Fun to do on a weekend with a group or kiddos. Will be back!!

Painted valentines mug & plate!

Need a place to entertain kids, grandkids, and have a family paint night! This is the place! Very friendly staff! Very clean and organized!

My friend's ticket clearly changed from 15 to 16.

Did they have a lot of fun. YUP. Depending on where you are coming from its up the hill right as you enter hill country off of 290 from south austin. If you are coming from the west off 290 its headed towards south austin about 20min from Dripping Springs a few min past Belterra strip mall food area. Plenty of parking. Lots of seating on a Sunday around 12noon ish Thanksgiving weekend. No time limit on doing your chosen art. I tried glass making for the 1st and it was fun and challenging l. Instructions by the staff very useful! Friendly. Helpful. Welcoming. We each chose something different. Plenty of items small, med or large to chose from. Pottery comes with whatever pain you want, glass area there are easy and complex projects. You pay, they fire/bake the pieces and you show up about a week later to grab your pieces. We each got something around 40.00 or under. Time flew by. We were there for maybe 2.5hrs. My teens were not on their phones once. Engaged, creative, good family time. Come visit, bring a friend, spouse/partner, day date, just yourself. Thank you for having this space for folks to be in the moment and creative with things that open their mind, heart and soul

The hostess was very thorough and patient. There's scaffolding for successful decoration using stencils and stickers for anyone wanting consistency or reference. Freehand design is also a safe approach since wiping the surface will allow you to change an area. Of course after a few days you will be able to return for your work once it is fired. Baked SA provides an isolated and focused activity, which may encourage more exploration with ceramics. Potential art therapy, and functional/decorative vessels.

Sometimes it looks like there aren't enough tables/tools in there with all the customers but it always seems to work out! I would give 5 stars because we have continually gone back but I feel like more can be done to show what products are available. It's a silly complaint but I'm always a little bummed when I don't see a piece I would like to work on so I settle for something affordable. (Which in my experience range from $18, 22, 28, 34, etc. I am sure there are ones more/less costly) I also understand some items maybe seasonal or limited but I think snapping a couple pictures and updating their "inventory" on Facebook/Instagram a little more often could go a long way. Lastly, we have found ourselves wanting to go to the store a few times but arrive and realize they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is key to remember when you go back to pick up the pieces you painted and paid for. Photos below are from August 2022.
