The House itself gives a rustic but creepy vibe which played backdrop to the evening's festivities that took place in the open air dining area. Cool evening air, picnic lights that hung about, the mood was appropriate. Some guests even came decked out in their Halloween best. The evening's burger consisted of a few well placed cast members and all the guests participating as some supernatural character. You were given a folder that held your name, bio, and a small list of objectives you had to complete before/and after the murder. The menu, was light. In hindsight, significantly over priced for serving size. Appetizer was a butternut squash bisque soup. That was pretty good!!! Entree consisted of a braised beef risotto over mashed potatoes. Bland but acceptable. Meat was tender, a bit salty. Dessert was pumpkin cheese cake. That was phenomenal!! I had two of those . The mystery was very enjoyable. For sake of the integrity of the mystery itself I will not divulge details. But I encourage you to try it. Great for an intimate evening for two, or a group

You may need to leave a message for their event…read morehall staff and you may need to follow up call if you don't hear back within two days but when you do speak to them they are super super nice and will work with your venue needs. Their prices are average for party rooms. The event center rooms are nice and clean. The resort is dated but not by light years. It boast a 1995 look. Go during the holidays because the decor and Christmas lights are beautiful. The rooms are similar to what you would find in a Motel 6, clean, simple and affordable. We rented two queen bed rooms at $89 per night, a black Friday special! I also tried out their Sunday houses which is a one room cottage. The privacy is nice and the rooms are super clean. The restrooms are also clean and feature the 1995 esq look. The landscaping and walking trails are beautiful. The pool is nice and the hot tub stays hot. The practice putting green is cool. Their are fire pits around and lit during the night. This is a great place to hang out with the family while touring around the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy!

I didn't set it up or deal with them, only participated so I have no idea what the actual reservation interactions look like. We met in what appeared to be a country store straight out of the Walton's. It was a creaky old place with lots of nostalgia. Perfect for our strategy setting meeting for the future! I would recommend it as a different meeting place for your special meetings. Not a downer for me, but be aware that you will be meeting over quite a collection of various folding tables of different styles and eras.

Rick is reasonable. Read that--beauty on a budget. I'm not sure how long this will last since Rick is new to the wedding venue game. The only "issue" is that Rick loves first. People who love first and love well make decisions for brides that put the bride first. Not the business. I truly can not count all the ways he blessed my particular bride, because they wouldn't fit in a Yelp review, but what I can tell you is that if you have any need, please don't let him give it to you for free. That kind of man. Y'all, we need affordable wedding spaces that take your breath away. But, yes, we also need caring business owners who value the person above the place they represent. Rick represents his family, his business and his clients' needs beyond what is industry standard. Think, far beyond. Case in point: I actually had to remind him to cash my check! He was holding it until we got paid, and then I think he may have even forgotten we hadn't paid yet. Bless his heart! The following are actual quotes from our experience: "Didn't y'all already pay me the deposit?" Rick asked. "Yes, Rick. You held the check but it hasn't cashed. Thank you for working with us," I told him. "Oh. Okay. Let me check with my wife. She handles that." Rick is building and curating this space--one auction house and trade show at a time. I can't wait for you to see the lovely stained glass windows he just installed near the bridal suite. Speaking of which, the bridal suite is fit for a Queen. The Orchard was the first venue we toured for my bride. My bride had already toured multiple venue spaces before when her sister got married a few months prior. Everyone on our side of town agreed: this space was just as beautiful and more in line with homespun Texas/elegance core. Think twinkle lights at night with a dance floor built under the stars. A place for romance that becomes real on a very special night, where two souls knit together as one. I promise this can exist outside of a book. I've seen it with my own eyes. Please go tour here. Especially if you are looking for an expansive outdoor space. If your vibe is more formal, there is a climate controlled indoor dining hall where more sensitive guests can spend the evening. I'm sure, like us, you will tour other places. But, if you're also like us, you will do a complete 180 and high tail it back to the Orchard at Spring Branch. Thank you, Rick. I was somewhat weary of the shrimp being this far from the gulf, but the burger is a solid option with the grilled onions. And the sausage on a stick is a banger (see what I did there). I think the burger bun could do with an upgrade like Hawaiian roll or maybe option to have a pretzel with stone ground mustard. The river access is amazing. Right next to the chutes. However, word to the wise, unless you got hobbit feet, wear water shoes for the slick and sometimes pointy rocks.
