Once inside, I found an impressive selection of brews and a reasonable selection of single tall boys. Not being from the Northeast, I knew only Bissell Brothers from Maine, but noted Midwest standouts 3 Floyds and Hoof Hearted among scads of Pine Tree State breweries. Wanting only a tall boy, with no cell service to look up my choices (thanks, Verizon), I asked the friendly clerk to recommend a localish NE style IPA. He appeared to hit it out of the park with Marsh Island's Pulp Tandems. Listening to him help another customer showed his extensive knowledge of Maine beer. Caveat: Many IPAs were stored outside the refrigerator. Make sure to check cans for a brew date.

Then, 10 minutes later we were called to be told they could seat us at the bar when we got there. Well, one of us has Parkinson's and but they said the bar seat had a back on it. When we got there, however, they said they had made adjustments for us to have a table which, frankly, is best for us. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts prepared etole style, the Maqueca (fish stew) and fish tacos. All were surprisingly good, if not better than great. We enjoyed the meal, the service and the quaint ambiance of the place (smallish). I even complimented the drink glasses, which were reminiscent of cut glass of the early 20th century. Importantly, they held very cold water, a good NA IPA beer, and a Mexican Coke. It isn't your local TexMex dive joint however. The prices reflect careful preparation,as well as their mindful service. I trust that if you give yourself the chance to see for yourself, your taste buds will thank you and your spirit will relish in the humanity and friendliness present.

Mosaic completely changed my mind. I ordered the fish special of the day, locally caught haddock served battered and fried over a rice bowl with mango salsa, red onions, beans, and more. The fish was beautifully white, soft, flaky, and perfectly cooked with a clean, fresh flavor. It was honestly the best restaurant fish I have ever had. The portions were generous, the price was fair, and even though I was completely full, I just wanted to keep eating because every bite was worth it. The restaurant was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick. I would absolutely recommend Mosaic to anyone visiting or passing through Camden.
