Martel Crane & Tree Service has been amazing to work with…read more CJ (the owner) came personally to look around and give us an estimate for branches to be cut back, dead wood removed and one big tree cut down. I hired them immediately after meeting CJ. Sometimes you just get that feeling that this is the right company and that's how we felt. CJ was upfront, honest, genuine, easy to understand and the proposal was written so well that we had no reason not to hire them. Laurie is the one who calls with the details etc... When they are coming, ways to pay etc... She was absolutely amazing. Another down to earth, genuine, caring, competent person working there. Laurie has such a calming presence and is always willing to explain anything or go over any questions. The actual job was top notch! They had a decent size crew here and the crew was nice and easy to talk to. They showed up exactly on time and communication throughout has been stellar! They cleaned up incredibly...yard looked great when they were done! There were a couple of branches they missed (it happens!) and I very lightly mentioned it to Laurie. CJ called me immediately and offered on his own, to come back out. When I tell you this is a top notch company, words can't even begin to express how happy we were with the job, the company and everything in between! Customer service is a major factor for us when we do anything. This includes food, jobs, services etc... Martel Crane & Tree Service goes above and beyond in their customer service. Both my husband and I highly recommend!!!

I hired Marquis Tree Service to remove 8 massive pine and oak trees, far too close to my house…read more While I interviewed several, when Charley came to my home to assess, I had a favorable reading from the start. Marquis would use a crane at the top of my driveway and in combination with the Climber, 2 tree assistants, and skilled crane operation, I watched the entire flawless operation. They arrived promptly at 8 am and finished at 4; the huge pile of logs was picked up 2 days later. My yard has totally been transformed to more of a meadow, rather than the woods. Their clean up was quite good, considering the amount of tree debris that was removed. I watched the entire operation in awe, with never a worry about my house, lawn, greenhouse, many plantings, roof, and driveway. Marquis sent a hardworking/talented staff, price was more than fair, and the team put on quite a show. They delivered an amazing result, far beyond expectations. I would hire them again in an instant, as flawless is hard to find!

Cuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I'm not a dang millionaire, Ralph! The team worked efficiently -- handling pruning, trimming, and tree removal in what felt like record time without sacrificing quality. Everything was done cleanly and professionally. However, I was a tad sad that no one shouted "timber!" at any point. I moved on, though -- I am resilient. Duh. One standout feature was their automated email communication system, which kept me informed every step of the way. Overall, communication was excellent and the service exceeded expectations. 5 star experience across the board with Sav-A-Tree. We had two giant silver maples in a bad shape…read moreand required careful pruning. The extra challenge was that a truck couldn't be brought into the yard. Brandon was the arborist who came out to give an assessment and quote. Out of all the companies, I spoke with he seemed the most knowledgable and spent a lot of time walking through what was happening with the tree, his concerns, and his plan of action. He mentioned things like cabling trouble branches and weight reduction to branches leaning towards our house which signaled he had the tree's health and our concerns in mind. Brandon even noticed a few of our bushes were in bad shape and geeked out on what could be affecting them. You can tell he cared about his work. Sav-A-Tree's price estimate was right in line with what my research suggested. I had another company quote me work at almost half the price, but I could tell the cheaper company was going to hack away at the trees and try to get the job done fast rather than right. That would have been disaster for silver maples because they end up sprouting even more unwieldy branches. Another company (which was highly ranked on Google) quoted us 2X the price of the same work that Save-A-Tree had proposed. It took about 2 weeks for them to start the project from when I got my quote. This was partially due to the weather as they would need to climb the tree and couldn't do it if recently rained. Tip - if you are comfortable with pre-paying for the work on their online portal, you get a small discount. I think I saved $80. The work itself was very professional. Brandon came out with his crew and did the majority of the pruning itself so I was confident it was being done right. They worked safely with cones blocking off drop zones, harnesses being worn, and tools being carefully handled. The crew was friendly and shout out to Bob for going the extra mile to leave behind extra wood chips for mulching. This 60 year old man was jumping in and out of the truck filling trash containers full of wood chips and carrying them over to my back yard. The team worked efficiency despite the wind picking up in the afternoon. They arrive around 8:30 and finished by 4:30 with their crew of 4. When they finished, it was like they were never there. The yard was raked clean of all debris. I could finally step out into my yard in peace and not worry about a large branch falling on me. These giant maples used to sway violently any time the wind picked up and now they are gentle waves thanks to the cabling and expert pruning. I highly recommend the team at Sav-a-Tree if you are in the South Shore. You won't find a better combination of value, professionalism, and expertise.
