My project consists of paving a surface lot and driveway with new asphalt. Two guys showed up for…read morea site visit to measure the lot to be paved with asphalt. First, they gave me a business card which had a different company name than what Thumbtack has listed, and it had a different phone number. Name of the guy on Thumbtack who was supposed to visit was Elmer. The guy who showed up was Edvin with a business card having a different company name and a different phone number and he had very limited language skills. So there was something fishy going on. Second, there was a large trailer attached to his truck that had a lawn mower, a blower, various tools for basic gardening and yard work. He didn't even have a proper measuring tool to measure a surface lot with. He only had a basic measuring tape that you'd use to measure a cupboard. There was every indication that these guys were a "mow and blow" crew and didn't know much else.
