I advise you make an appointment and plan to spend a while here, it is totally worth it. Most places are quick in their treatments so they can get the next customer in, even spa treatments can be rushed and a smell of nail polish remover and cloying scents permeate the air. The atmosphere a bit shadowed by the clutter of several chairs crammed together to maximize the number of clients at a time as well as the grunginess from the large number of people going in and out of the salons. Not this place! Miranda's has a small staff and they'll do everything they can so you are able to relax and be pampered. The shop is spotless and plenty of space is given between the seats for those seeking a haircut or receiving a Pedicure. The design and layout of the store is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and maximizes comfort. Once here, this is where that "spend a while here" plays into effect. They take their time so the treatment is done right and as painlessly as possible. No rushing to squeeze in more customers for more money. Country music plays in the background, just loud enough to be heard and soft enough to not be a barrage to the senses. During your treatment, they'll offer refreshments such as water, soda, or even something for a more sophisticated palette. Everything here is about keeping you, the customer, relaxed and pampered for your visit. Again, I'm severely tempted to leave a disastrous review for my own selfishness, but the staff and this little gem in the desert should be shared and this review posted. I explained that I prefer nicely blended highlights that were done mostly on the already lighter parts of my crown/Mohawk. It was my fault for not realizing she was starting whole head highlights, as I am used to getting all over color for the last 10 years. The highlights that were done are chunky all over and uneven on top. There must have been some foil sliding or bleach not put close enough to my scalp on top (or applied halfway through) that wasn't noticed. The sides are super white and then gradients to how they are supposed to look at the ends. From afar I almost look bald in those areas. The color achieved on top was kinda close to what color I wanted but once again, not nicely as blended as I wished. Also missing a whole area on top. Still giving 3 stars because the stylist was very nice and the hair cut was done well. I'm not a very confrontational person, so I will just have my hair fixed at my next appointment at another salon.

Furthermore, The business owner only wants cash but doesn't tell you that up front. She waited until she was rinsing out my color to tell me she only accepted cash. What they use the cash for is unknown, the salon is dirty and unkept, the bathroom never has hand soap, and the number of times my stylist picked up a hairbrush full of someone else's hair and used it on me made me sick. Not reliable, not hospitable, and not worth your time or money.

She provided me with a nice relaxer that left my hair extremely soft, manageable and bouncy. She took the time to oil my scalp. She is not expensive at all and she listens. I would have paid in full, but I'm just not willing to let her keep my personal info in an unsecured app. While I hate the chore if finding a new salon/stylist I'm certainly not going to be forced into giving my card information to ANY salon to store on file. She made sure my hair was healthy enough to take the process and was very upfront about what it would do to my hair and my options. After my consult, we determined I needed more time to let my hair repair and get ready. After a treatment and revisit, we were ready. She took her time, explained all the steps, and in the end I came out with great hair color. Amber knows what she is doing and will make sure you know what your getting into before you start the process. I will never go anywhere else for my hair care. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I had already used Christy for my infamous Octopus haircut at her old studio Lettem Look, but she moved to OM on the Westside closer to me. She's a whiz with layering cuts, balayage, blonding, highlights, baby lights, and curtain bangs, but today I was just there for a maintenance haircut as my layers have grown out and I needed my undercut refreshed. She was sweet enough to also treat my kids to a hair trim and cut. I agreed because I wanted to take pictures and show you how she cuts and washes. Obviously as the only adults there, it's hard to showcase the stylist cutting on your own hair. Haircuts are $50 for my mid back length but she's currently running a special for new clients only for June/July 2022. Take advantage when you can because she's worth that and more! She's a stylist with an affordable price($45). I needed a trim,with long layers but don't take off from the length, sounds complicated but she managed to do just that.
