Last month, my boyfriend hired Atlanta Eco Cleaners to clean one of his rental properties in Marietta to prepare it for new tenants. When he originally spoke to the owner, Amanda, they agreed to have the property cleaned on Thursday, December 17th, as he had tenants moving in on Sunday, December 20th. When they spoke, he was only told that a cleaning crew would come in that day. He gave her his credit card number, and Amanda said she'd call him with the exact time that they would be there. She never called and never emailed a receipt or a cancellation policy for her company. On the morning of December 17, my boyfriend's phone died. By 9:30am the phone was charged and he turned it on to see a text from Amanda asking for entry instructions into his property. He immediately called her back, explaining that he didn't know what time she was planning on coming to clean. He asked if she could reschedule for later that week. She said she was entirely booked that day, was going out of town that night and wouldn't be able to come back out. He asked her to call him if any times opened up and reiterated that he needed to have the property cleaned before the tenants moved in that weekend. He never heard back from her. The next night, he checked his bank account and realized he'd been charged the full amount for the cleaning: $229. He immediately texted Amanda and asked her why she took the money without performing any services. She responded by saying that the cancellation policy was listed on her website (note that you have to go under the a secondary page, at the very bottom to find it). Due to this happening right before the holidays, they didn't speak again for several weeks. When he finally got her on the phone, he asked again if she would reimburse the $229, and she told him that she would not reimburse the money. He then replied that he'd write negative reviews on her, because people needed to be warned about her unethical business practices. She responded saying she "had a very good attorney and would file a Slander lawsuit." Funny, if her "very good attorney " had taught her anything, she would know the difference between libel and slander and the situations under which each can be applied. This woman is a thief and I hope no one else has to go through an ordeal like this with her again.

She was willing to talk to me, but just kept offering excuses as to why the job was completed. She is nice and not excessively rude but there was no resolution offered to my situation. The clean was far to expensive for the service I received. I would not recommend using moxie but if you do choose to use them make sure to be present for the walk through after and take pictures before just in case anything gets broken. The broken light fixture was not noted on the virtual walk through afterwards and when I called to let them know my issue they implied that they had not broken the light (even though I had photos to prove that the fixture had not been broken before they showed up). They did offer a $40 refund for the broken light fixture however the fixture is at least twice the price. As for the left cobwebs the Moxie Maids had no real response to the issue and put the blame on me for not being there afterwards for an in person walk through. Moxie Maids were very flexible with my schedule, however the price is far to expensive for the service I received.

First, the cleaners didn't bring their own supplies and used up a tenant's entire bottle of Dawn dish soap--and the owner actually got upset when the tenant asked for it to be replaced. Before the job started, I asked the owner how much the oven would cost. She quoted me $25. I asked if the refrigerator was included, and she said yes, so I asked if we could swap them and just do the oven instead of the fridge. She told me the fridge was already done. She then admitted she forgot to tell her employees to clean the oven that day, so she said they would come back the next day--but changed the price to $30. I sent the $30 anyway just to get it done, but they completely ghosted me and never showed up. Taking extra money for a mistake she admitted to, and then failing to show up, is completely unacceptable.
