Kevin is a great barber with even better stories! Walk in cuts only but you'll never be bored waiting for your turn in the chair.

If you're looking for a great barber, this is the guy everyone in the neighborhood talks about -- and for good reason. From the moment you walk through the door, you can tell you're in good hands. He's one of those people who just has a great vibe -- super friendly, easy to talk to, and always cracking jokes to make you feel comfortable. It's not just a haircut, it's an experience. You can tell he really takes pride in what he does. He pays attention to every detail, makes sure you get exactly what you want, and somehow makes it look even better than you pictured. Whether it's a fresh fade, a beard trim, or just a clean-up, he nails it every single time. What I love most is how much he genuinely cares about his customers. He remembers people's names, checks in on how you've been, and treats everyone like family. It's rare to find that kind of atmosphere anywhere these days, but he's built a shop where everyone feels welcome. On top of that, the energy in the shop is always great -- good music, good conversation, and good laughs. You leave not only looking sharp but feeling better than when you came in. It's no surprise that everyone around here recommends him. If you haven't checked him out yet, do yourself a favor and book an appointment. Best barber around, no question. read more

Hello everyone, our son goes to Classics Barber shop and he is very happy with haircuts done by Kevin. Great guy! Excellent barber, friendly and has interesting stories. Also Kevin is a veteran and we are glad to support his business. read more

His prices are super reasonable the customer service is always amazing (there's a reason why all of his customers are willing to wait for cuts when he's busy) and the cuts themselves are always amazing and garner tons of compliments! There's really no reason to go anywhere else! I can't recommend the shop enough!! read more

Great atmosphere. Classic barber shop experience, the name fits. On top of that Kevin will blow you away with his skills and speed. Best barber in the UP, in my opinion. read more

Kevin is an excellent barber that maintains a great atmosphere within his shop. Prices are fair and I've seen him work with all hair textures. Excellent with young children and those with exceptionalities. I've personally watched him give several first haircuts and successfully work with kids that have autism. If you want you long hair styled, he'll recommend another shop though he is an extremely competent BARBER. His average haircut time is eight minutes (I've timed it). Cash or Venmo; walk-ins only. read more

Perfect name for this establishment because this place is everything that a classic barber shop should be! I was in town for business and needed a cut. I'm so happy I found this place! This guy is a legit master barber that knew what he was doing. I said one short 5 word sentence to describe what I wanted based on a picture on his wall and he nailed it without me having to ask for any fixes or just a little bit more here or there etc. just nailed it in one shot and that never happens ever for me. Impressive to say the least! And like any legit shop the conversations and jokes were classic too! We somehow covered serial killers to military service to the finer qualities of the town. And the prices are great! I've paid twice as much for a cut that couldn't touch the quality of what I got at Classics! And he's a veteran to top it off. Thank you for such a great cut and barber shop experience! I wish I could fly in to Marquette every time I needed a cut! read more

I had great service here, my cut was fast, precise, and exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to spend a lot of time explaining what I wanted. There were three people waiting when i got there but I waited less than an hour. The staff and patrons were really friendly, I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town. read more

This guy does a great job. I drive 1 1/2 hours to get my hair done here. Very fast and cheap, but always looks fantastic!

Kevin consistently does a great job. Best barbershop around. Only one barber working. There will be a wait, but it is worth hanging out. Classics is not a salon, so do not expect to make an appointment, sip cappuccino, and be coddled. It is a damn fine barbershop and the name sums up the atmosphere. read more
