Terrible. I haven't been to this salon since last year. Still when I'm swapping horror stories…read moreabout salon experiences this is by far the worse. The stylist cut my hair crooked and was rushed. Waxed my brows super thin when I slecifically said I like them thicker. They also had gaps where the hair was waxed completely off. Also, when I went back in to have the owner fix it she ripped my skin off. Literally. They gave me money to buy makeup to cover it up and fill in my brows. Also, they refunded my money after I went in to complain. Regardless I would never go back. As I share my story with friends I hear more and more negative experiences from others. I like to be honest though so I will tell you I used to work with someone that loves it.

Not only did Katie get me in right away, but she also is a hair goddess. The amount of knowledge, confidence, and actual skill she possess, shows, big time. I needed a color correction, and wanted to cut quite a bit of length off, let me say the end result had me cheesin' from cheek to cheek. The salon itself is beautiful, and i honestly enjoyed my time there. I will 100% be continuing services here and 10/10 recommend this salon to anyone in the area and/or anyone stopping by.

I haven't had my hair done in a long time and was really looking forward to having a big change for the spring. I asked for the red hair picture and received what you see below. I had to have her tone it a neutral brown just so I could leave and not be embarrassed at work till I can find someone to fix this. Needless to say all she did was bleach is then thrown a copper looking toner over my whole head, then another red toner and finally the brown to neutralize it. Now I'm going to have to spend so much money to fix this. The owner refunded me but honestly it's going to cost double to undo this mess and it's just so sad.

Marquette Cost Cutters salon is clean, well lit, and filled with a comfortable environment. I recommend Cost Cutters and definitely recommend Tia. Cost Cutters is clean, has a nice layout, but they don't offer me a cup of wine or tea like some salons. That being said, I just want a good haircut and I don't care about drinking a beverage while it happens. I had a drastic cut from a hair length to the middle of my back to my chin and it was great. One time I used a semi permanent box dye and it didn't wash out... I ended up with a black halo around my head. I got an ombré with my natural roots, and I LOVED it. My hair processes fast and I've had my hair break apart in the past, my waves weren't even affected after I went here. I have seen 4 different stylist and I was treated great, I was listened to, and I will continue to sing the praises of Cost Cutters in Marquette.

I came to Nicole over a year ago looking to find someone who understood my hair type and who would be able to cut it in a way that would enhance it's natural waves and curls with little to no effort on my part. I am very low maintenance yet I am very finicky about my hair. I don't want to have to spend hours working on it, but I want it to look good. I explained all this to Nicole up front and even expressed my fear of getting a bad cut because I have had so many before. Not only did Nicole actually LISTEN to everything I had to say and take it to heart, based on what I told her I was looking for (low maintenance but looks great) she was able to give me the best haircut I have had since my last favorite stylist left (who, coincidentally was also an employee of Embrace). Nicole took her time, explained what she was doing, asked me what I thought about this and that throughout the cut and kept me as involved in the process as she was. Not once did I feel like I was in anything but capable hands and at the end I was completely in love with my hair cut. She styled it beautifully and explained to me what she was doing so I could do it myself at home. I love Nicole! Nicole works at Embrace, so I love Embrace! Another bonus are the products they use. Euphora is a wonderful organic line that makes my hair feel so soft and healthy and it smells wonderful. Everytime I come home from getting my hair done my boyfriend asks me if I am wearing new perfume because I smell so good. Embrace is definitely one of my favorites!
