Extremely Disappointed - Terrible Customer Service I had a very frustrating experience with Classic Turf Equipment that I feel needs to be shared. I visited the Arlington location looking for a specific part. While they didn't have it in stock, they told me the Mansfield location had one left and kindly offered to call and place it on hold for me. They confirmed it was being held by someone named Adrian, and I made it very clear I was driving an hour in traffic to get there and needed it placed on hold without question. They assured me it was taken care of. When I finally arrived at the Mansfield location hot, frustrated, and in a rush to get the part to my mechanic I watched Adrian chatting with a friend for about 20 minutes. Then I watched him sell the very part that was supposed to be on hold for me to that same friend while I stood there waiting. When I finally got to the counter and told him I was there to pick up the part he put on hold, his response was: "Ahhh man, I just sold it." No apology. No effort to help. No concern for the fact that I drove an hour because of his mistake. Not even a simple "Let me fix this" or "Let me find another one or offer you something for the trouble." Nothing. I've never experienced such blatant disregard for a customer. This wasn't a mix-up this was careless, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. I will never shop at Classic Turf Equipment again and hope the owner or management sees this. Your employees represent your business and this was a complete failure in customer service. read more

True story: Took my 4-cycle Craftsman backpack blower b/c the fuel line broke, from the tank to carb and inside the tank as well. 3weeks later they called for me to pick it up. Upon arrival they told me it was a "No fix". The tech reported it had "No compression". The gas tank was dry and no line was installed, how did they test the compression. I brought it home, went on-line and ordered the line/tank (comes as complete unit). It took about 15 mins. for me to install. Put gas in it and it fired up right away! If you don't want to repair it just say so. Lying to customers is bad business. I will not be back, nor should you! read more

Took my Honda mower in for service because It would not stay cranked. I was informed it needed a carb and they had a factory unit on the shelf that they would sell me. So they replaced the carb, spark plug and changed the oil. I got the mover home and noticed it had no gas in it so after filling it up gas started leaking instantly from around the carb from a bad seal. How do you repair a motor but never add fuel and test??? read more

Their customer relations are very poor. My golf cart was there for 2 1/2 months. Not 1 phone call. We called about every 2 weeks. We had a 250 dollars cap. They were supposed to let us know if they needed to go over that. Not 1 time did they tell us anything. When it was ready it cost 667 dollars. I hope they don't do that to anybody else. read more

PSA - if you are looking for golf cart batteries beware of Classic Turf Equipment in Mansfield...price quoted over phone magically went up $24.01 per battery (x-6ea) when I got there...I wouldn't do business with them. Not willing to honor price quoted on phone. And NO this wasn't a core charge. read more

Only place to go if you need parts or equipment! David and Scott are spot on with customer service. Over the last few years I've run into issues on a job with mower and have called them up and David has taken the time to help troubleshoot so we could get back to work. One week I was told, one week. Two weeks and five days later to change steering bushings and the oil. Okay, things happen. But when I show up to get it...no, the oil hasn't been changed. Okay, sometimes things happen more than once. The cost to change the oil: $27.93! For two quarts and a filter, no labor charge for my inconvenience! I would have done it all myself but for a torn rotator cuff. Never again. read more

A minor problem with two month old rear tine tiller bought from another dealer. Of the four recommended warranty service dealers by the manufacturer, the only one that would service the unit at all, or promise delivery within three months. I am glad that I made the trip to Mansfield. Everyone there was customer friendly, and the store has a tremendous inventory commercial and non-commercial lawn equipment. They turned my repair in two days, and even performed an adjustment that I did not request. The next piece of lawn equipment, chain saw etc., that I need, is coming from ClassicTurf Equipment. read more
