Jesse, who came to bid the job, was knowledgeable, helpful, and obviously had authority to respond to questions and concerns. Peter, the owner, reviewed Jesse's video of the job, and approved the written bid. We chose 312Flooring. Their bid was not the lowest, but they were not the highest either. Peter and Jesse guided the project through our Condo Assn., stayed in touch with us reporting their progress, and were ready to start on the date promised. On the appointed day, the installation crew, Juan and his two sons, arrived. The next three days were almost pleasurable -- they were skilled, polite, respectful of our home, and enormously helpful in resolving the difficulties that arise during any remodeling project. Our floor was finished on time and on budget and we are very pleased with the finished product. A friend who just redid her basement bought her vinyl floors from Carpet Central & Hardwood Flooring so I went there to check out all the options. I brought home a bunch of samples that looked good and facetimed with my decorator (who recently moved to Dallas) to find the best one. They all appeared a bit grey so I returned and brought home so more samples. This time I got it right and had Mike price it out for me. My contractor thought the price was very fair so we decided to move forward. When I checked out the samples I thought in stock meant in Illinois, but it was in the warehouse in Georgia. It took about a week to get to us, which was pretty fast, but I was hoping to start a week earlier. My kids are going a little stir crazy without a basement in the winter! As Mike promised it came in exactly a week after ordering and he worked with my contractor to pick it all up the next day. I did get an invoice that day even though I had paid for the floors a week earlier, but Mike apologized for the mix up. They exceeded all of our expectations…read more We redid a few rooms of flooring (including one bathroom), changed out a lot of the trim, and upgraded the stairs from carpet to hardwood. Peter is probably one of the most professional contractors I've ever hired. He confirmed the start of the project the day before, showed up on time every day of our 3-4 day project, finished at a decent hour (so we could have our evenings to ourselves), and kept me informed about the progress of the project every step of the way. Everything was contracted and professionally handled in terms of invoicing. He made suggestions for how to improve the appearance of our home in certain places and gave us up-front pricing about every additional change we could add on if we wanted (we took all of his suggestions and so glad we did!). He paid such great attention to detail, fixing so many errors throughout the house that previously were there...things I didn't even know needed fixing! So many of our doors were not sealed correctly and the flooring was all a mess, they fixed it all for us.
