My boyfriend came in as a walk in and Bernie was thankfully able to make space for him. He asked him a lot of detailed questions about how he wanted his haircut and my boyfriend says this is the best haircut he's ever gotten! Unfortunately, this was one of the worst haircuts I have ever had. 2nd most expensive haircut at $45, which I believe this haircut was closer to a $12 style in my opinion. I asked for a trim on top similar to my current hair cut just shorter and ended up with a random buzz in my hair that is usually combed over and uneven hair length on top. I believed it to be an okay haircut but then noticed he tried to cover up my missing hair he buzzed by leaving some of hair long than others to hide this mistake. I believe he may be decent at buzz cuts (which I do believe are the easiest hair cuts), but he is not very good at cutting with scissors leaving the hair length all over the place. I had an appointment set for Thursday , April 22, 2021 with Andre Hicks at The Classic Man's Barber Shop. My new car was getting a Ceramic Coating applied and they took longer to apply the coating. Since I knew I might not be able to make the appointment in advance, I texted Mr. Hicks on Tuesday, April 20th to let him know and possibly reschedule. Even with two days notice, he charged me a $15 cancellation fee. When I complained by emai to his personal email address for the businessl, he claimed he has a "two hour cancellation policy", yet he never refunded my $15 fee. That's so low-life. I don't like doing business with folks who are not honorable, nor keep their word. DO NOT USE STYLE SEAT TO BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THIS VARVER SHOP. The app does not let you make cancellations and the owner, Mr. Hicks, does not read his emails. He even admitted as much to me be email. BUYER BEWARE! read more

10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND! You will notice the cleanliness of this shop immediately. It was spotless! The staff was COVID conscious. So much so that they checked temperatures at the door, wore masks, and encouraged every client to wash their hands. It really put me at ease. I'd been cutting my hair myself for almost a full year and made a mistake that made my hair uneven. I was worried I'd need to buzz it down. I spoke with Mr. Hicks (the owner) and we discussed options. At one point during the cut, he asked a question I didn't understand, I admitted this and to that he said "that's okay, we'll talk about it and communicate." He proceeded to explain his question and made sure I understood before we went any further, which I appreciated. He was personable, polite, and kind. He took his time with the haircut and I must say it was masterfully done. I would go to this boutique barbershop 100 times over any chain such as Great Clips or other barbers in the area. It was truly a pleasant experience, reasonably priced, well maintained and worth every dollar spent. I'll note too that this was my first experience at this barbershop. I've been to so many barber shops and this one is by far the most authentic place. Hicks and his crew are so welcoming and they seem so personal and real. I came in as a walk-in and although their chairs were booked he let me sit down and he got to work and did what he could in a short notice and little time before his next client came in. CMB is a COOL shop in Woodstock! Mr. Hicks and Mr. Berns are both professional gents with class and swagger. The shop's vibe says it all... pool table, TV, comfortable seating, and nice surround sound speakers to keep you feeling nice while the pros get you right. It was my first cut and shave at CMB. I had a 2 o clock appointment, so I walked in and I was promptly greeted by Mr. Berns. After a few introductory questions, he sat me in his chair and we went into further detail about how I wanted my haircut. I could tell he was WAY more passionate than any other barber I had before. It was a great first experience! I would highly recommend this shop to any person in need of a fresh cut. read more

These guys are great. We found this shop after my son had received a less than stellar cut elsewhere and not only was Mr. Bern's able to fix it - but it looked amazing! It looked so good that we now exclusively bring our son AND daughter to this shop. They're super patient and ease into the cuts - making sure you're pleased with each step before continuing on.
