I was visiting from out of town for a wedding. Woke up early and realized I was looking a bit unkept. A quick internet searched on the World Wide Web said this place would open early. Well, sure enough, even before the sun was up I was in the barber's chair. The barber gave me the finest beard trim I've had. He took his time getting my beard right. He Keo backing up and looking, and then trimming where needed. He took my tall order of wrangling my facial hair in a way that makes my face look long and lean when it's actually round and fat. Knowing he had never seen me before we made easy and pleasant conversation. When he told me the price, I was astonished. He could and maybe should charge 2-3 times what he asked me to pay. I take my 12 year old boy here and Gary knows how to cut hair, simple as that. Sorta hole in the wall place but who cares! The only negative thing is, they don't do appointments so sometime, you need to sit and wait for your turn. read more

I have been going to Gary's barber shop for over 20 years now. He and Joey are the absolute best, I would highly recommend them.

This is a small barbershop in a run down building. While this particular owner has been here for quite a while, this isn't the first barbershop in this location. A barbershop has been here for more than 30 years, because I remember going when I was 5 or 6, with my grandfather. While the people have changed, the shop itself hasn't. You have a long wooden bench on one side (The same one I remember from my youth) and three chair's on the other. Typically now, there is only one barber though - a young man in his 30's, by appearance. The store is clean, not crowded, and easy to get into, and out of. Best yet, it opens at 7 am. It is closed sunday, and tuesday I believe. Not a bad place to get a good, fast cut. read more

First time I went I didn't know that it was cash only. Gary let me get cut, leave to go get cash and come back to pay so I didn't loose my place in line. Came back a second time and he remembered who I was. Awesome little local barbershop. Reasonable prices. They open at 7 am on Saturday which makes it easy to get in and start your day. This is the only place I ever get my hair cut. Gary and Joey are the two guys that run the place and I always get Joey to cut my hair. It looks like a run down building from the outside, but it is a great place for a haircut. Clasic barber shop. The only downside I have about it is that they dont use razors to shave the back of your neck. read more

Found this shop on Yelp when we moved to Canton, and have been here three times. As mentioned in other reviews, it's in a old building so if you're looking for glitzy go to a strip mall. I appreciate the fact that the same 2 barbers are there on each visit, not an ever-changing cast of tattooed 20 year olds. Gary & Joey do a great job cutting hair, and have been for years. I've gotten my hair cut by both of these men. They can cut a good, professional cut; and can even cut a flat top! (from back in my Navy days). This is an "old school" barber shop, where men can go and share some conversation while getting a good haircut. And, best of all, it is reasonably priced! read more

The reviews by Brandon and Richard, above, are both quite accurate in their description of the building. Both Gary and Joe give good haircuts for $12. I've been going there for 4 years now and have always been satisfied. In my experience they are almost always both present, so there is usually not a lot of waiting although they are often busy and I don't go on Saturdays. The haircuts are 5 stars, but I gave an overall 4 just because the shop IS pretty run down, but that may be part of the reason that the price is excellent. No frills but quality cuts. read more

For the first time in about 10 years I decided I wanted to switch it up with my hair a bit. so with growing tired of certain terrible national chains I decided that I want an old school barbershop haircut. Gary did not disappoint, from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out I felt welcomed by him and Joey it felt like I've known them for years. This is a great shop for a precision haircut - two barbers - both doing great work. I drove out of my way to try the shop based on the first review I read. I have stopped by twice and was able to get right into the second barber's chair - Joey by name. He was excellent - and paid great attention to the details of my very close cut - and wasn't afraid to get it to the skin. The other guy in the first chair was also giving some great cuts. The building looks run-down, but the barbering is first-class. I believe both barbers are there every day except Sundays and Tuesdays when the shop is closed. Great traditional barbershop feel - with two young barbers who are very accomplished at their job. I have now made this my regular shop because the cuts here are superior to all my local shops and worth the extra drive. read more
