Our floors are less than nice! Cloudy uneven and dull. CHF blamed the product, the product company blamed CHF. Then they blamed the wood. CHF did some damage to our walls, cabinets, and trim. They said they would come back and fix the damage until about 5 min.'s before they left and said they were done and had gone over and above and weren't coming back. read more

We recently had CJ & Sergio of Classic Hardwood floors refinish our wide plank yellow pine flooring. We chose the WOCA oil finish CJ recommended and are very happy with the results. CJ was very knowledgeable about the different finishes & answered our numerous questions without hesitation. The whole process from start to finish took four days. Our flooring was originally installed by Classic and over time we needed to have the natural oil finish on our floors redone. Although his crew worked hard to refinish the areas, the product they had used didn't produce the best results. Claudio assessed the situation and took issue with the manufacturers of the product, Then he had his crew redo the flooring to restore it to the desired condition. It's rare to find a company with this much integrity to spend the extra effort to make sure the job is done right. read more

Classic floors installed our white oak floors a year ago. The experience we had with this company was mixed. We've had hardwood floors installed by other compnies in the past, so we had grounds for comparison. While the floors look good and oiling them made them fairly easy to care for, the company did not always behave in a professional manner. Here are a few of my complaints: 1. Claudio did not provide enough information during our initial meeting. We were still trying to decide whether to go with engineered or oak planks when he got up abruptly and informed us that we'd be getting the latter. His time was up apparently. We were eager to get started on remodeling, so we went along with his decision. 2. The quality of wood was not as good as we'd been led to believe. The company ran out of materials before the job was completed and more had to be ordered. It is my experience that an extra percentage of materials (say 10-15%) is always ordered so that the unattractive or defective boards can be weeded out. That did not happen with this job, which did not leave more than three boards for future repairs. When the floors were being laid, we moved into a motel with our cat for a week. When we returned we expected our floors to be fully installed, but they were not. They'd run out of wood and had to order more, (which we paid for.) After informing us that the floors would not be finished for a couple more weeks, they asked for their second payment because they'd been cheated by some of their customers." 3. They left many, many marks on the newly painted walls that had to be filled in and repainted. 4. While they did finally replace a board that should have been weeded out because it didn't match the rest of the lot, they not only did not address a problem corner that cupped for mysterious reasons, they treated me rudely on the phone. (Both father and son are a bit defensive. Some would say paranoid.) We agree that something had spilled in the corner--that it was partly our fault-- but we expected them to help us fix it, based on the promises they made on their website. 5. Now, a year later, the floor seems unstable and a bit creaky in places. I suspect that did not glue the planks in addition to nailing them, as other companies often do. 6. I have spent hours filling in knot holes and cracks in the floorboards. I have never had to do that with previous floors. Filling in the holes was part of the installation job. 7. I left a review on the company's website that has been removed. Apparently they only post the 5-star reviews. " read more

Classic Hardwood Floors did an amazing job refinishing the Auditorium, Stage & lobby upstairs in the Historic Dungeness Schoolhouse built in 1892. The oil looks great, bringing out the color of the wood. Claudio was very thorough and professional, explaining the process and recommending various methods of applications to choose. Claudio and Dorothy are very personable and professional to deal with over the phone. They managed to level & sand the slightly curved boards with minimal dust. They were always on time and kept me informed through each step. The installers were professional and did an amazing job. I was expecting a huge amount of dust & cleaning needed after the sanding, but it wasn't noticeable at all. They did an excellent job of removing & replacing the baseboards. We are very satisfied and would recommend Classic Hardwood Floors. read more

I was expecting a huge amount of dusting would be needed after the sanding, but it wasn't even worth getting out my duster. I'm loving the oiled look and I'm delighted with how well you blended the old floors with the new. I know my floors presented extra challenges for your Team. The wearing of cowboy boots and mud abuse for over 100 yrs left my fir floors in sad shape. Any and all repairs are completely invisible. read more

I had Claudio Gonzales, Sr., owner of Classic Hardwood Floors (and Servpro of Clallam and Jefferson County) in Sequim, Washington install my laminate flooring in my kitchen and it was done ALL wrong! He did not follow the manufacturer installation instructions at all. He did not make sure the floor was level even though he was paid extra to do this. His excuse was that it was a pre-existing condition. He made an assumption. He has never once been in my home nor does he know "pre-leak condition". All he was concerned about was money, not quality. It shows! This was an insurance claim and my insurance company brought in and paid a flooring contractor/investigator who confirmed that it was installed completely wrong and it was worse than I thought. I have a report from the investigator with over 36 images of what was done wrong. This man does not like any questions being asked. He bullied me and threatened me. His quality of work was so poor I wish I could give it zero stars. I am thankful my insurance company went the extra mile for me and I now have a new flooring contractor to "fix" what Classic Hardwood Floors/Servpro of Clallam and Jefferson County in Sequim did. He also used a non-licensed electrician and did not provide me with a Non Disclosure Statement that is required by Labor and Industries. I hope to save everyone the nightmare that I have gone thru with this man and his two companies. read more
