We had them to come look at our roof because every other roofer said we needed a new roof. It seems Port Townsend residents are targeted for roofing scams. Hope told us they do not service/repair tile roofs and they could have easily said "You need a replacement"... instead they said "It's fine, but you need to clean the valleys". They gave us a contact to do a 2nd check on the roof and to clean valleys. They received nothing from us but saved us EVERYTHING! This is a business I'll always support and promote! If you feel like you are being scammed by a roofer, you probably are! Contact them. They will tell you the truth! read more

We decided to replace our 20 year old roof a few months ago so began researching companies. We wanted Owens Corning shingles & found Hope Roofing in Port Townsend. They sent out someone to estimate 2 days later. Their quote came in more reasonable than another company & the person they sent was very informative. They said earliest they could get here would be March of next year which we were fine with. Then a week ago on a Tuesday we received a call saying they had a cancellation & could start the following day. We agreed (although we were concerned about the weather) and on Wednesday a team of about 10 workers arrived & began ripping off the old shingles. By midday Friday they were done. I can't express enough just how professional they were. It seemed every person knew exactly what needed to be done & did it quickly & with care. On the final day they spent about an hour just going around the house with a magnet looking for any stray nails. I highly recommend Hope Roofing to anyone looking to replace their shingles They're reasonable & highly efficient. Great team of employees that do quality work. read more

We have used Hope Roofing two or three previous times for repair work and have been pleased. Called them recently to replace missing roof cap shingles and they came out quickly, inspected and said an estimate would be coming soon. Three weeks, three phone calls to them and nothing. Hope roofing put a new roof on my mother's home four years ago. The roof is horrible. We now have to find someone else to reroof the home.

Hope ripped off Toni Vincent an 87 year old in a wheelchair Utilitarian ordained minister from the Unitarian Fellowship here in Port Townsend. The company promised a three foot wide continuous piece of flashing . Then instead they cheeped out and used four pieces of 2 inch wide flashing, glued together with caulking, which leaked in the first year. Matt came over promised to remove all the black mildewed wood and fix the problem. He did not. He's a liar and a cheep low quality builder who is in over his head. The company made many mistakes and the project took weeks when it should have been done in days. They did not remove the bad wood on the roof until i pointed it out to them. He sold us a Solar Tube and cut the whole in the wrong place on the roof. When they finally cut the right whole i was told the product did not fit my roof and would have to have one 33% smaller. They first charge 20.000 but when asked about why the 50 year old fascia board was not being changed the price went up another thousand dollars. Matt I will hold you accountable. read more

We got four bids--Hope's bid was not only competitive but they had the experience, equipment and personnel to actually do the job with no bid overruns. Our project was complex, with odd roof angles, a skylight and preparation for a solar power installation. Matt figured it all out, and team leads Isaiah and Chris kept the project on track as all crewmembers worked as a professional team. There was an odd drainage configuration on one corner of the house and Matt was able to suggest a practical solution to resolve the problem. NO COMMUNICATION with the customer, NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, POOR WORKMANSHIP, I would have to say, I would NEVER recommend this company for a roof.
