Nathan told us he would take care of it . Never happened. The range hood had to be installed in order for appliances and inspection could be done. After many calls and emails, we talked to Nathan in person where he accused us of lying and then said he would take care of it but it was not top priority and he would get to it. The last correspondence from Dungeness was October 11 from an employee who explained that people were sick and work backup (not our problem) and that someone would be out the following week. It is now December 9 and we still have not heard from anyone. Nathan no longer returns emails. By the way, we paid our invoice in full (our mistake) and now we are swept under the rug. Horrendous customer service. We have never been treated with such disdain from a business owner! BEWARE when you order from Dungeness Woodworks. The cabinet that were not damaged are fine. There was some overspray on some and a side strip missing on one but we can live with that. By the way-that has never been addressed either. All in all I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Building a new home is something most of us never do and we were no exception until we purchased…read moreproperty in Sequim, Washington (Olympic Peninsula), far from our home in the state of Maryland. A few years later it was time to find a builder, a daunting experience, whatever the distance. After some recognizance work, we identified five prospects, of which two were well-established companies; one, a seasoned contractor running solo; a "green" modular home building company; and a small company, relatively new to home building: Olympic Peninsula Homes. We met with each, and ultimately contracted with Justin Rief of Olympic Peninsula Homes, a fortunate and wise decision. In Justin we found someone who makes thoughtful and deliberate choices at every turn along the path to home completion. He and his small crew were phenomenally- and skillfully-equipped to tackle each task associated with the build, thereby ensuring quality control measures that would not necessarily exist if numerous sub-contractors or a much larger crew were used. His work proved to be the highest caliber possible within budget constraints, routinely exceeding expectations. He was always willing to discuss and even suggest modifications. In balancing our hopes with necessary deadlines, Justin showed flexibility and never traded quality for quick fixes. Because we were long-distance clients, he had to compensate in many situations that, had we been local, we would have addressed. All of these - his workmanship; quality control; and willingness to pivot and step up in ways we did not expect - were equally on par with the quality, tenor, and frequency of his communications. We held weekly phone meetings, and sometimes daily exchanges were necessary. Justin never lost enthusiasm or professionalism throughout the duration of the project. His availability extended to the financing company; the city; the county; the vendors; the neighbors; and anyone passing by who was curious! The final outcome, which we were able to see in late May 2024, was an unforgettable experience. We were overwhelmed with gratitude to Justin and his crew as we welcomed the sight of our new home. It was clearly built by a gifted individual, who displayed integrity, ingenuity, a keen eye for aesthetics, and an unsurpassed commitment to his clients. Sure, we put in hard work as well, but we consider ours an "Olympic Peninsula Homes" project first. Why? Well, every inch of this place we now call home was touched by the best there is. If you have plans to build a home, consider this company; you'll be happy you did.
