I'm an outdoors man - My long-bed and I have spent countless hours on washboard gravel roads. Everyone knows, these shake the hell outta your truck. I also sleep in the back of my truck and the insulated canopy they installed in 2016 has yet to leak, In fact, the insulation is still tight & fresh as it was on day 1. The overhead LED lights inside the canopy have yet to stop working. All of this speaks to their craftsmanship & quality parts. The power-steps finally gave out after a decade of use, so it was time to replace them. I was given the option between the cheaper overseas version, or the USA built version. It's nice to get price options and their expertise on the level of quality. As part of the install they noticed a cracked end cap for one of the steps. (I would have never noticed it on my own) Anyhow, they called it out, already have a replacement on the way from the factory, and when the part arrived - they were able to a do a 'while you wait' replacement. This has been my repeat experience with them, I hope you find it helpful in your decision making.

The wax finish looked clean and even--no swirls or streaking--and gave the car a beautiful shine. Inside, everything looked refreshed without that greasy, overdone "Armor All" look. I also asked him to treat my rubber floor mats, which are about 10 years old, and they came out looking significantly newer. He offers both mobile service and drop-off options. I chose mobile, and he came to my place and spent about two hours on the car. He's friendly, detail-oriented, and clearly takes pride in his work. They kept me in the loop, matched the black paint (heavily laden with metallic crystals) blended expertly and unable to even see where they blended it in with the older paint. Prices ! ! - extremely competitive, one of the lower estimates that I received which totally surprised me since there were Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes and other high end value cars in for repairs at his business. After having an EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE AT HOLMAN / KUNI COLLISION CENTER in Beaverton as far as how I was treated, lied to, belittled, the Lexus / BMW repair business's estimate was 250% more than ALPINA's to fix the very same problem and Holman / Kuni refused to give me an estimate of how long it would take, blaming the insurance companies for this. I called and scheduled my car in for an appointment a couple of days later. So far so good. Things started to fall apart after I visited the shop a few days after that. Shop seemed like they were working through a lot of vehicles which was promising, and the staff was friendly. However the two people in the office disagreed over part availability and lead time, pushing my appointment back a week. I was supposed to get a call back the following week to confirm the parts availability. I never received a call and followed up via phone several times and left voicemails. I emailed them and cancelled my appointment. Maybe they got busy, but they lost my business.

They are NOT. So... I have to pay to have new shields put on. I called before they opened, expecting to leave a message, but the owner answered. He suggested I bring it by THAT day. When I did, he remembered me from the morning call. Y'all, he did a smell test on my engine! Old school OG here. I was impressed right then. Followed up by running a scan that gave a clue to the problem. He advised that they would start conservatively and escalate as needed, but it was usually a simple fix. They scheduled me for the next day! Turned out to be some worn hoses (not surprising since my baby is a 2000). They gave me a ride home, then picked me up to get it. Amazed. So relieved and happy. I had only planned to use them until the dealership was making acceptable time frame appointments, but I think I'm staying here. I guess they do Subaru too, but until my baby is dead beyond resuscitation, I'm keeping it and not changing brands. So a trustworthy mechanic, with fast turnaround, is epic.
