Welp, I'm officially adult, having purchased my very own Christmas tree for the first time ever…read more That's not counting my Charlie Brown table top tree that I proudly displayed in my first ever apartment for a few years. Not really knowing where to start, I remembered always seeing this little tree "farm" in that triangle of green space on Austin Hwy near the Broadway intersection. A sucker for supporting a good cause and keeping it local, I decided to make it my first stop on the hunt. It was the weekend before Thanksgiving, so there were plenty of lush pines to choose from (Firs to be specific...) starting at 3 and 4 feet and working their way up to 8-9 feet. It didn't take us long to find the perfect one, and within 10 minutes, the volunteer guys running the show had it trimmed, chopped and loaded in our truck for us. We also scored a deal on last year's stand (I think they were selling them half-price). All in all, we made it out of there in less than 20 minutes and spent exactly $100 for a beautiful fresh scented Fir and a brand new stand. It warrants mentioning that, yes, you will find a cheaper tree at Home Depot (by about half the price). But what you won't find is three gentlemen ready and willing to help, with smiles on their faces, and a Christmas Tree purchase that gives you warm fuzzies beyond the usual holiday spirit. Support local when you can!

I said I would while I was in town going to a nearby Sam's. I had never been in this particular Lowe's but found locating it was easy. Parking was easy and near the front entrance. Walking in, I found I had no idea where this type of product was located. Signage was poor, but I finally found the area where it was located. The area for the product looked like it had been hit by a tornado. There was no rhyme or reason to how things were displayed, but I assume it had to be due to lots of customers going through the merchandise. I had to check a lot of the product as many were missing the electronics. Others were in bad shape. I finally found one that was perfect and picked it up. Payment is easy with self-checkout. I was glad I didn't have any questions as there was nobody around to ask. I guess that in the battle for low prices customer service has nearly vanished. Will I return? Yes, if I'm in the area as I really do like Lowe's.

I am pricing materials and installation costs for flooring and had questions. At Lowes, I have always had to go looking for someone to talk to, not so at this Home Depot. I was approached more than once by employees, (who are not on commission by the way), asking if they could help. Karolyn, in the flooring department was great and took the time to supply a wealth of information to bring me up to speed on the process and expected costs involved. Will definitely go back.

We have a 1/5th acre lot with a huge house on it. Not much to do, but the price is 3x what service they provide. They have broken our rain gauge, the latching lock on our fence, and damaged the downspouts on the gutter with ineffective trimming. Once, two of the "workers" got into a physical fight which I observed, and they ran the 0-turn mower into the cement wall damaging it. They do not own up to their mistakes, unless it is pointed out to them. And, since I did point out their errors, they said they would no longer service our property. If I could give them zero stars, I would, they do not deserve any. Buyer Beware and find a local kid to do your yard. My seven year old can do a better job.
