I took my car in for a wash and came out with car damage. I freaked as my car is my baby. It took well over an hour for the owner to get there. I told the attendant I would go and file the police report as my insurance company suggested, and be back as I was not going to sit there for 1.5 hours as the owner said it would take him to get there. I needed his insurance company info for my insurance company. The owner refused to have the attendant give me the info. When I came back, I was more calm as my insurance company said that this would be handled and the police report had been made. The owner had just arrived as well. He got out of his car and was very aggressive from the start. The owner started the conversation by yelling at me and stated that his car wash didn't do the damage. My car is my baby and I check it out each time I get into to it. All I know is it was not damaged when I drove it that afternoon to only one other place for an early dinner. We sat at a window seat where we could see my car. My son wanted me to try this car wash as it did a good job on his truck. I check my car often in a day as it is my baby. I check my car after each washing - though I usually hand wash it myself - my son treated me to the $9 special. As usual, I checked it out for cleanliness and not only found dirt not removed at the runner guard level, but a long, potato-like scrape immediately above where the dirt still was. There is also a gouge on the passenger side. I drive a sports car that is very low to the ground. The car wash jammed up during its cycle and the guy had to reset it, letting us wash it another time. This owner acted like a jerk to someone who was very distraught over their damaged vehicle. Finally after his yelling at me for a few minutes, I told him I just wanted his F*ing insurance company's name, and that we would let the insurance companies handle it. I then asked him if he was refusing to give it to me. He stated no, and the conversation - if you can call it that, was over. read more
