The man who came out was very friendly and knew what he was doing. He did have to go out to get the part needed because he didn't have it on his truck. So I don't have a problem with the work. What I do have a problem with is that I paid by check and it's been over a week since the work was done and my check still has not come through the bank. I called about it and was told that sometimes it takes a few days before that happens. Over a week is not a few days. I have never done business with a company where the payment wasn't posted within two days. Although the work was satisfactory I probably wouldn't call this company again because of the check problem. read more

I called to schedule a service on 9/8 around 1:30pm and was greeted by someone named Cleta I believe was her name. She was very rude and felt belittled when she asked me where my furnace and HVAC was located. She stated the same information repeatedly, spoke slower, and raised her voice instead of rephrasing it in a way I could understand. None of the options she gave applied to me so I was confused. I just had my first service call with this company. After the technician left, my air conditioner started making noise. I called the next morning and got a call center. That person transferred me to the main office. No one answered so I left a message. That was four days ago. The same thing happened today. I was promised a tech would arrive at 8:00 am. Brandon was really great!!! Everytime I have these guys out I am very pleased with their work. They are on time, courteous, and smart. They answer my many questions and give me great advice on how to maintain the unit. I have learned a lot from all of them and really appreciate the work they do. My unit ran okay when I first got the house but after they have serviced it- it is soooo much better! It use to be so hot upstairs but for the past couple years it has been perfect. Too expensive. It takes way too long to get a maintenance appointment even with a membership (5+ months). We loved Faszold, but service went downhill ever since they became Classic Air Care. Was not made aware of a 2.6% surcharge for using a credit card when I agreed to the service. All in all a disappointing experience! Canceled the monthly membership and will be looking for a different more local company. After the service they send you a link asking for a 5star review on google. They indeed have a 5star rating there! I posted the exact review on google but it doesn't show up. Go figure. The 2.9 rating here on yelp is way more accurate! read more

Writing I want to recognize that the technician who came out did quality work, was professional, and seemed genuinely uncomfortable that I was being charged for this repair. He was courteous, explained the issue, and did what he could to help. My frustration is not with him. My concern is with management/customer service. When my furnace was installed in 2023, I was told there was an issue with the flue. I believed it had been addressed at that time. When a new water heater was installed recently, it could not be turned on because the flue still had a hole and had to be repaired immediately. I was then charged around $1,000 for the repair, including time spent locating hard-to-find 5-inch pipe at the hourly service rate. I do not feel prior work or communication was handled fairly, and I'm disappointed that no goodwill or warranty consideration was offered. Again, the field technician did a good job and treated me respectfully. My low rating reflects dissatisfaction with company policy, communication, and how this situation was handled--not the technician himself. read more

Regarding their plumbing service. Charged me $109 dollars for an estimate then gave me A $700 estimate for the work that they said included A $109 dollar credit. The Work was done by alternate plumber in two hours. Beware, I think they're plumbing estimating service is a scam. read more

I have been a customer for over 15 years and never had a problem until Classic Aire bought what was once a decent family business. They last came to my house in June 2024. But I received a $198 charge June 2025 for work not authorized nor did they perform any service. Despite 2 calls to the company, the charge remains. Hey Classic Aire, MasterCard calls this fraud and will be following up. Anyone considering Classic Aire should think twice about sharing credit card information. They keep it and will bill you again. read more

Classic Aire Care - poor workmanship and poor customer service! We have been using Classic Aire Care since we moved into our house in 2019, and my family had been using this company before that. Last weekend, our upstairs Air Conditioning unit stopped working. This was the same unit that they had repaired two years ago, when they replaced the evaporator coil. When the technician came (John M), he was great. He found that all of the freon was gone. He performed a leak test and determined the leak was due to the soldering they did when they replaced the evaporator coil. He kindly said that, since it was poor workmanship on their part, they would replace the freon and fix the soldering for free. He did so, but then when he went to start the AC unit, the compressor was burned out. I then looked up on the web as to what would cause a compressor to burn out, and it said that the number one reason is loss of freon ... I said this to the technician, and he agreed that this was possible. We then said that we expected Classic Aire Care to replace the compressor since the loss of freon due to their poor workmanship was the likely cause of the failure. The technician said that he would need to take it back to the service manager and that they would call us the next day to discuss. My husband and I each called Classic Aire Care the next day, but did not receive any call back or communication. The next morning, I called again. I then received an email from a service manager named Steven R (no phone call) admitting that a leak can cause other problems in the unit, but saying that they would not cover the cost of the compressor. My husband and I both wrote him back, but received no response. Thus, the company did poor workmanship that contributed to our compressor failing, and they did not even have the common courtesy to call us to discuss it. The email came only after we called repeatedly. This is really terrible customer service for a loyal customer. We will never use them again. read more

I had Classic Aire care install a new furnace in October 2025. Stated I did not want the generic thermostat. They wanted to install. I wanted to keep my. Nest thermostat. The first day the technician who said he's been with them for 36 years could not figure out the wiring. That was a Friday so then Monday I was supposed to have somebody else come out to take care of finishing the install, and the appointment window came and went and I contacted the office and they said the supervisor wanted to reschedule, but the girls insisted . So supervisor Shannon came out on his way home, apparently off the clock. Did not install the nest thermostat back to the wall like they were supposed to. He did something with the wiring in the basement he came upstairs and put a screw in the wall underneath the thermostat and halfway to hold up the thermostat on the wall and then he left. I was upset with the quality of the work, then I was upset because they charged me $150 for the thermostat. I specifically told him I did not want., And on top of that to furnace, you're supposed to get a permit and then afterwards get an inspection. They did not do that and I have still received no inspection notice from the city of Saint peters Missouri. I contacted the sales manager left detailed message. I emailed with all of the information. Sales manager called one day when I was not available. I called back and he has never returned to call again. read more

Classic Aire Care responded to a request to fix a faulty shower valve with good communication and an honest attempt to extract and replace the cartridge. It was probably the original brass cartridge that was too frozen in place to remove in one piece. He eventually had to give up and informed me the entire valve would need to be replaced. He quoted a seemingly high price to replace the valve and trim, but I felt compelled to accept as I needed to have the shower functional for guests arriving the next week. He removed the old valve and capped the pipes so we could have water back on again. CAC conveniently scheduled the final repair and completed the install quickly but then failed to test Hot vs. Cold. CAC had to return to fix that, but otherwise I was satisfied with their work. Price was about twice what it should have been for the parts ($250??) and 3-4 hours of total labor. read more

I had them fix a rental property AC unit. I did not have time to deal without myself that day. They diagnosed the issue and fixed it quickly. That said they charged me a service charge for the call and diagnosis, OK with that. But then they charged me $142 for a fuse, a $3 fuse at most. Totally outrageous. The technician was very nice. He said the little water safety shut off on my AC was defective and needed to be replaced. It was a small plastic thing that looks like it costs maybe $3 wholesale, yet Classic Aire Care charges $386 for that part! I took a photo of the part, went on Ebay and found one, same brand and model #, still in original package, for $30! It doesn't even take any knowhow to put in the new one! I stopped payment on the check to CAC and let them know what a rip off their price was...1200% markup!! read more

Very disappointing service. Rick L came to our house 6/5/2025 to repair our 3 year Classic Aire installed air conditioner. First gave me a lecture about changing out thermostat (which you can buy at any store) the proceeded to lecture me more about not doing any DYI when it comes to their system. He replaced the contact in the outside unit then proceeded to tell me that the compressor was out. He wanted to charge $1750.00 for a warranty part!? Had another HVAC person from a different company come out today 6/9/25. Turns out Rick L from Classic Aire wired the contact incorrectly and there was nothing wrong with the compressor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Classic Aire for any of your services needs. read more

We started using this company in 2022 for maintenance. Nick L. Was my service technician he sold me on the annual agreement. I couldn't have been happier with the customer service from text to when they would arrive to the gentleman who would come and service the air conditioner and furnace. Nick L was very knowledgeable and friendly. Explained everything he was doing. AC was old and kind of lagging behind so I asked what he thought and he said it wasn't going to die soon but would start driving my bill way up and to possibly get a quote on a new one. He was not pushy at all. He asked if I wanted a quote I said yes and they sent someone out. The gentleman who came out was pushy and just gave me a bad feeling. I got quotes from several other people but I still had my service agreement with classicaire. I didn't pull the trigger with any company and when the service technician came out again for my yearly inspection 2023 I mentioned how sleazy the guy was and he said that he was let go because of his unprofessional behavior and they would love to send someone else. I thought yay! Ok send someone else. So Mike S. was the next salesman. He was friendly and gave me a quote and seemed very kind. He lead me to believe that the workers were Union. They are not Union. I ended up buying the whole thing Furnace, AC, humidifier and adding a new vent in a room that was always hot for $13,000 September 20, 2023. Installation went great. Everyone was extremely nice. They cleaned up after themselves and explained everything installed and how to operate. The vent they added was a bit wonky (see pictures) not sure why they couldn't make it in the same rafter but who knows. October 30, 2023 still using the AC and we notice the house is warm and I was thinking clearly it's new so I must have done something wrong. Checked everything and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so finally called for service. Customer service again was great. Again got text Matthew was coming out and would be my service technician. He came by. He drained the exhaust pipe and said the wire on the end was causing the build up. He removed the wire to the outside vent. (This part of the pipe was not new and had been in place since we moved in 7 years prior) I thought it was a bit odd that a new unit would stop working but figured he must know what he was doing. The next day I got a letter reminding me that I had to have my new unit inspected by the city. Again I was impressed by the customer service because I totally forgot to do this even though they told me when they were done. The city inspector came out and said it failed and that it needed a cover for the outside vent. The exact thing that was just removed??? So confusing! The City stated they would send the letter to ClassicAire Care. I expected a call within a few days but didn't hear anything. So I called my Salesman Mike S and he stated that these took time and someone would contact me. So I waited January 14, 2024 outside temperature 1, it starts to feel cold inside again I'm like no way. Sure enough Furnace has stopped working. I called immediately as the temperature was so cold the inside temperature was dropping fast. I got a answering service and they said someone would call me. No call January 15th or 16th by 1100. I called again and stated what was going on and Dustin apologized profusely and stated we could be seen today and the window is 1200-1900. I said I would be home. Now I wait. I will update when this is resolved, but from what has happened so far the text reminders and phone calls are great but considering my brand new unit has stopped working twice within three months of installation I could not recommend this company. *Update-January 17, 2024 1830 received a text again when my technician Anthony was on his way. They also always include a picture which is very reassuring when opening the door to a stranger coming into your home. He said the vent wasn't pitched right and water was collecting in the pipe. And the pipe was leaking water and he couldn't easily fix it so the pipe needed to be removed and reinstalled by installers. He said he would put in a ticket and I would get a call but it would be a week or more. He did temporarily move it so it wouldn't collect water. So not the wire that was removed last time. We always used Weis Comfort Systems and never had a problem. They were a small, locally owned and operated business and always did a great job. Classic Aire Care acquired them and we've had nothing but problems. Our stack was corroding and we called Weis to come out to inspect/replace it. The call automatically went to Classic Aire Care. They sent a young technician who wasn't well trained and didn't know what he was doing. They sent another guy who said there was moisture coming in through the chimney of our stack, perhaps from birds making a nest. He said he'd replace the stack and place a metal guard around the chimney so birds couldn't get in. We had to call them back again, only to find out they didn't replace the entire stack. They only replaced the section in our basement. They refused to come back out to make it right. Needless to say we were upset, so we reported them to the BBB. We had to call another company and they said first of all, that our stack didn't need replacing at all and second, the amount we paid should've covered the entire stack, not just the part in the basement. Fast forward several months and we have birds in our chimney again. I called Classic Air to have them come out and repair the metal guard they placed at the top of our chimney. Birds shouldn't be getting in there if they'd done the job right the first time. Of course when you call, you get someone from a call center. You don't get to talk to anyone from the company. She put me on hold, came back and said their was a block on our account which means they refuse to service us and make it right. Apparently, they didn't like the fact that we let them know we were upset with them that they didn't do the job that we hired them for, but paid plenty. I asked to speak with a manager, but of course since I'm talking to a call center, you can only leave a message. I have yet to hear back from a manager and quite frankly, don't think I will. I believe Classic Aire Care has gotten too big, buying up a lot of smaller, local companies and their customer service is awful. They've gotten so big, they don't care about making things right. When you get too big, too fast, customer service suffers and well as the quality of technicians that come to your home and it's not acceptable. I will never use them again and I hope you won't either. read more

I had multiple issues with service technicians who were not well trained or professional. Asked for an install of a new smart thermostat in January 2023. The technician seemed confused and spent at least two hours for what should be a relatively quick job. I ended up also getting charged overtime hours because of this prolonged visit. Last month the AC would not turn on (not used since new thermostat installed) , so I called for a follow up. First thing the next tech said (different than first tech) was the wiring of the thermostat was wrong, but then had to spend a lot of time tracing wires. Once rewired the AC compressor would not turn on. Tech #2 left when it got dark, so I had to wait for technician #3 (different again) who came to diagnose on a different day. He told me that ants had overrun my condenser unit panels and that the contact switch was faulty, perhaps because of insect damage. My AC had been working the previous season, but the reason given was plausible and I agreed to a charge of $350 for a new switch which is about a 10-15' install. I was told that parts for AC are very expensive, and felt this is probably an overcharge but worth it have my AC working again immediately. Turns out it didn't solve the problem and I later found the exact same part (same manufacturer, part number etc.) for $15 with a quick google search. The tech left without resolving the issue but told me that the compressor may need to be replaced, but I should get a second opinion. According to him the compressor had also overheated which made me wonder whether he had done something to push a previously functioning system into failure. He left with the outdoor compressor service panel half attached and a bunch of screws sitting next to it. I called the service manager that week and asked if I could return the switch (with a 100% new identical replacement) for a refund, and was told no, and was given a bunch of excuses for why they marked up the part by more than 2000%. I was done with Classic at that point, but did call a more professional company and the service person was quickly able to identify the capacitor as also failed. It is inexplicable that the Classic tech did not check the capacitor , but at least I was not subject to another predatory charge. read more

Classic Aire installed an AC Unit for us in May. I received one letter in late July telling me to get an inspection from Municipal Inspector regarding this AC. Why not tell me up front? Why not technician handle inspections scheduled day of install ? Why not inform me day of install that they didn't complete this task? Why get inspector upset with me for this late inspection I did not know was needed? I paid a hefty price compared to competitors, family pressure didn't allow bidding. read more

I cannot recommend Classic Aire Care. They installed a new furnace and air conditioner. In less than two weeks, the system failed. The system appears to be working now, but I am not confident about the purchase going forward. To get the failed system issue resolved, I called in to their service line (really an answering service) and asked for a service call the next morning and asked for a call in advance of arriving so that I could rearrange my work schedule to accommodate them. Classic Aire Care did not show up the next morning. They showed up well after 2:30 pm. They showed up with no advance warning breaking their promise. In order to get my new system to function, I had to stop working and cancel a meeting with no advance notice to the participants. I am not confident in their service going forward. When I complained to Classic Aire Care about their service, I received no satisfaction. After talking with several levels of "Support" they keep reiterating that they will not do anything substantive to address the issues documented, other than to have the people who did a bad job in the first place come out and look at their own work again. I am baffled at the lack of self awareness of that response. Apparently the term "Amends" is unknown to Classic Aire Care. A one star rating is reasonable due to the tone deaf response. read more

We needed Classic Air Care to come out because our home inspection came back from our buyers that repairs were needed. Because we have a home maintenance plan with Classic Aire Care, we didn't have to pay extra for emergency service. They were out the same day, within only a few hours. Hard to believe any of the reviews. Our second floor unit failed and a tech came a week ago Monday and said it needed a relay. 7 days later I had to make numerous calls to get someone to respond. Then they said part will come tomorrow. A part came on day 8 but not the right part. So I guess we are back of the line again. At least it warmed back up this coming week. New system installed 4 years ago by Classic Aire. This may be the end of this relationship. read more

I thought I was calling Faszold but apparently they were bought by Classic Aire. The person that came out had zero interest in fixing my hot water heater. Once he saw how old it was he only wanted to sell a new one. I had bought a new AC from Faszold because when the person came out to give me a quote he charged my existing unit which needed replacing. It kept us cool until we could get the new unit installed. He actually tried to help and that is why I spent the 10K on the new AC/Heater from them. I've used Classic Aire Care for a few years now after they acquired Harster Heating and Air Co. I purchased the annual maintenance plan for my 39 year old furnace and boiler. Dan B. is my usual technician. He always is polite, thorough and informative. He maintains both furnaces, checks the radiators, and offers to change the filters too. Their customer service is on top of things too. I receive appt. reminders (both e-mail and text) plus Dan calls me when he is in route. So far, I'm impressed with them. read more
