He really dedicates his time to his clients and makes you feel so comfortable in his chair. The colors have held up so well through out the years, and everything still looks like it was just done. He's super personable, laid back, and very realistic with the designs and placement.. Light hands and as gentle as you can be with stabbing someone 10 millions times. Had an existing tattoo filled in with color by Jen yesterday. The original was done @ class act over a year ago. Being a walk-in on a Friday afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised they could get me in right away. Jen was very professional and considerate of time- pointing out what time the session began (and prepping most everything before the clock started). When all was said & done, she had taken a phone call during our session & took off a few minutes from my total time which I appreciated! Very happy with the results- exactly how I wanted it colored. So I went in for a tattoo, the artist was pretty cool the first day saying how he wants to finish the whole thing all at once blah blah blah, 8 hours in he is still trying to figure out the design and just seems couldn't get his thoughts together, at that point we were 3 hours Into tattooing the rest of the 5 hours he was just taking a break or eating or trying to gather his thoughts together for the piece that I want. I left at 1 am in the morning and he apologized saying the next day he would for sure finish my piece for me and make sure it's exactly what I wanted. But never once confirmed what exact time for the up coming appointment instead just told me to text him. Next day I text him, he said he couldn't make it because he didn't have time, okay, I was cool with it after all we did spent a long time together the day before and he had confirmed me on the next day he'll for sure to finish my piece for me. So I told him Politely to please make sure the next day he'll be able to finish the tattoo because at this point my tattoo looks more than dumb. Next day again I text him, guess what, he couldn't make it again because he didn't have a car to drive to the tattoo shop, I offered to pick him up, no answer, so I tried calling couples time, never picked up. 5 hours later he finally replied back saying he couldn't make it because he just can't. And asked if I could come in next couple days or just standby play it by ears. I was beyond pissed. But I held everything in and just thought I'm just gonna leave the whole thing I don't want to escalate the situation. Maybe he did have something serious that couldn't come to the tattooing. So again I text him next day, and this is the 3rd day in a row I'm trying to reach out to him to finish my tattoo. Don't get me wrong, I do have a full time job and I did took 3 days off on purpose just for this. And never heard back. Called tattoo shop and he wasn't there. A week later, he text me saying how much he wants to finish the tattoo for me, blah blah blah. I never replied. Girls and boys think twice before you go there. I went somewhere else finished the piece, not gonna lie, the other shop laughed at my tattoo because it was so shitty looking. read more

I've had 4 tattoos here. All done by Jen. She did a pretty decent job,..best thing here is they do not ooze with tattoo snobbery that most places seem to offer as their main service. Very nice, down to earth tattooists, they will work with you and your ideas, and they are good at steering you in the right direction and giving you ideas about your piece. We all have an idea of what we want when we get a tattoo,but sometimes what you want doesn't translate perfectly into skin and ink applications. That's when it is good to have someone with the experience and expertise. They won't let you give yourself a crap tattoo just because that's what you thought you wanted,...they will offer hints and suggestions to make it look really great as a finished piece. Went in to have 3 words inscribed and it was done to my satisfaction. The problem was when the session was over and the artist said let's call it three hours. That seemed like more than the period of time I was actually in the chair. I was able to confirm that later once I recharged my phone and saw that I had sent and received a text from my wife while sitting in the lobby 40 minutes AFTER the time he said I was in the chair. I went back the next day to bring it to their attention in the most respectful way possible not even asking for a refund but just a little store credit. You would've thought that I said he was A bank robbing pedophile by the response I got. Nothing but insults and profanity when I pointed out that an error was made . Keep in mind he never indicated precisely when the session started or when he was starting his clock nor did he ever show me any timing device. So instead of getting a decent review and perhaps my wife's business and other referrals they decided it's a better business practice to have a poor review and possibly a complaint to the Department of licensing. That's who you're dealing with at a class act ......people who don't understand that the purpose of a business is to create and keep a customer. The person responding to my comment was not at the shop at the time of service nor the following day that I returned to discuss the error . The session ended at 6pm and the next day the artist said his timer said three hours and 30 minutes. Basic math tells us that he started the timer at 2:30 if it read 3.5 hours. If he did started it 2:30 that was at least 40 minutes before going into his workstation because I didn't enter his workstation until a few minutes after I sent and received a text from my wife which was at 3:07. But again, I never saw the timer and neither did Pamela as she was not present either day. I like to leave tips and i did so that day. As I made clear in my review I was only able to confirm that there was an error with the timing after I was able to recharge my phone after leaving the shop. When I returned , I didn't have an attitude and I went out of my way to say that it was an honest mistake and unintentional because that was my assumption at the time. The credit I was offered was a joke. I would've had to pay to use the credit. Such a pity because i would have been satisfied with just 20 mins of real credit. Oh yeah, the artist who worked on me said he wouldnt work on me because he was so offended that i would bring this up. It was the " mgr" there at the time who said he would work me some kind of deal but i would be paying even if was just 15 minutes of touch up. read more

I came to this shop because I won a Relay for Life auction for an hour of work and decided to add to it to get a mermaid scale thigh piece. Al did my tattoo PERFECTLY and better than I could have imagined. I've been tattooed by quite a few artists and he is easily the lightest hand I've experienced, little pain and almost no bleeding when I usually bleed a lot with color tattoos. Getting permanent body art is a serious spiritual endeavor. Chris is not only professional and serious, he lives up to the name Class Act. It took me 3 years (I used to work across the parking lot from Class Act) of seeing his work and talking to him before I knew he was the right person to ink my body. 3 1/2 years later he's currently working on my 4th (and most personally meaningful) piece and I couldn't be more happy with my decision in an artist. Chris and Al have been working out of this shop for many years, they have decades of experience and are just good people. Tattoo meant a lot to me, looks like shit. Partly my fault bc I put it in a painful area and moved a bit at the end, but stuff she did at the beginning with little lines looks awful still. Completely healed and still looks terrible. Additionally, the artist definitely was high and took hits from a dab pen during session breaks. This may have been for her arthritis, but it still seems fishy to me. Especially since the tattoo turned out so bad. I'm going to find a different artist to finish and hopefully fix it for me. read more
