The shop was very clean, and well maintained. Loved the atmosphere, and everything used was sterile. Very welcoming shop, bright, and even has Blendful, if you want to just stop by and grab something healthy to eat. EDIT*** as of 4/19, we have been refunded a deposit and our artist has been in contact with us to let us know that she was out of town. My major source of dissatisfaction was being unable to simply reschedule the appointment, but I am amending this review on the basis that she did do her best to make the situation right in the end. my friend and i tried going here to get matching tattoos on 3/26, we were required to send two deposits as "appointment holders" a week in advance through venmo. i woke up at 4am on the 26th with food poisoning and tried to reschedule, our artist said we could reschedule and keep one of the deposits. we tried rescheduling, but she left both of us on delivered and has kept the money. Tattooing is all about good service and word of mouth, which is why i wanted to try this spot in the first place. it has been 3 weeks since we've heard from her. I did NOT want to cancel my appointment, i wanted to go 2 days later so I wouldn't get her sick (because i could've done that for free). read more

I first want to point out that this review has nothing to do with the shop and is ONLY about David Baisa because my experience with him was awful. On the morning of my appt, he said he was feeling under the weather and told me he MIGHT need to cancel. I kept open communication with him about needing to reschedule if he was too sick, but he would reply with "I'm gonna take some medicine and see how I feel in an hour". This went on for several hours. The time of my appt rolls around and he says he's still feeling a little sick, but he did NOT cancel. I asked if I could check in on him after 1-2 hours. When I did, he didn't respond to my texts or calls-- he had fallen asleep. Only after he woke did he cancel, which was way after my appt was scheduled and I had waited all day to get a definitive response. From there, he tried to last minute reschedule me multiple times even though I had expressed that I needed more notice because of work. Finally, he found a day he was free and I immediately responded saying I could make it work, but I needed to know the time. He didn't respond. As the appointment was coming around, I kept texting to confirm. Still no response. The day before the appt, I sent one final text trying to confirm the appt and got nothing. I then decided to request my deposit back because of how unprofessional he was being. He had the audacity to venmo me back immediately and not return a single text message. Please keep in mind that from the moment I first emailed inquiring about the tattoo to the day I requested my deposit back, 4 months had passed. 4 months I could have spent looking for a new artist. He completely wasted my time and didn't even have the decency to apologize or be honest and say he didn't want to tattoo me. I hope to god no other client ever experiences what I did with David, because it was incredibly disheartening and disrespectful. From the beginning, I mentioned that I would be okay with him not accepting my tattoo, I just needed to know. The fact that he led me on, told me he would it, and then completely bailed without notice still aggravates me to do this day. David, please do better. read more

We had an idea of what we wanted so we just went to the needle lounge and we're going to make a final decision when we got there and saw the portfolios and talked to whatever artist we chose. Well we got a lot of help from the woman there i can't think of her name now but she is renmel wife. she helped us make a decision and we picked renmel to do our tattoos because we loved his work on his portfolio and he just had great line work and art in general . So I should have posted this review sooner but have been quite busy since my visit to The Needle Lounge. I came into the shop in July and explained to David what I wanted. He worked with me on a design based on discussions and other examples I provided to him. David did some quick drawings and after some adjustments he began working on my new tattoo. My dad passed away a month ago and I wanted to get a memorial tattoo for him done. I search a few different places but The Needle Lounge in Lakewood had some Amazing reviews. So went in and met with a few of the artists. Celeste was awesome. I chose her to sketch my piece. It was going to cover an older tattoo because I wanted the memorial piece more visible. So gave her a few ideas, certain thing I wanted incorporated and within a few days she had it! She captured to true essence of my dad in this piece. We spent many times hunting and fishing and just exploring the outdoors. I also wanted a quote added and she did it beautifully. They do specialize in a lot of tribal but the work done there is exquisite. Not only was the service and artist amazing but the pricing is incredibly reasonable.
